1713. Chapter 1713: About Birthday Gift 2

"Nonsense, even if I forgot my own birthday, I couldn't forget yours. So tell me, what gift do you want for your birthday?" Shangguan Yun looked at me and asked.

"You'll give me whatever I want?" I said with a grin.

"Well, whatever you want, as long as I can afford it, I'll give it to you." Shangguan Yun looked at me firmly and said.

Just now, as we passed a boutique, we saw a big bear in the display window, a really huge bear, taller than me.

So I pointed at that little bear and said: "I want that big bear; that way, in winter I can hug it to sleep and won't be cold."

"Just that one?" Shangguan Yun said dismissively.

I nodded vigorously and said: "Yeah, I want that one. Buy it for me, and when you're not by my side, I can treat this as you. This would be the birthday gift you give me for my seventeenth birthday, okay? Please?" I coquettishly tugged at Shangguan Yun's arm and said.

"Sure, no problem, let's go in and have a look." Shangguan Yun took my hand and went inside.

Upon entering, I saw the price was steep—588!

"Good heavens, why is it so expensive?" I said, looking at the lovely big bear.

"It's fine, it's always been this pricey, you know that." Shangguan Yun laughed as he picked up the big bear and said.

"I see it every day, but I never thought of buying it before, never checked the price, and I thought if it was expensive, it wouldn't be that much more—who knew it would be this costly? Shangguan Yun, I don't want it anymore." I pulled Shangguan Yun away.

"It's no big deal, it's just over five hundred bucks—if you like it, buy it; a thousand gold can't buy one's heart's desire." Shangguan Yun seemed determined to buy it.

"Shangguan Yun, I don't want it anymore; on Taobao you can get one for just a hundred or two, and it's also big. Let's just buy it on Taobao." I tugged at Shangguan Yun and said.
