175. Chapter 175: Argument 6
"Xuanxuan, you weren't crying, were you?" Lili's eyes are really sharp; she even noticed that.
I covered my face and said, "It's nothing; he just yelled at me loudly earlier, and there were so many schoolmates on the way—if you don't know them it's fine, but who knows who anyone is after today? So I felt wronged and shed a few tears. Is that serious?"
"Your eyes are a bit red; you can tell you've been crying—just wash your face and it'll be fine. But arguing between guys and girls is normal, though your kind of argument might be a bit over the top." Lili continued.
Maybe to them our argument seems childish, but to me it's that he disrespected me and yelled at me without even clarifying things—aren't I supposed to be cherished and loved? Now he's using me as a punching bag. How could I not feel wronged?
Seeing I wasn't speaking anymore, Lili came over with a grin and said, "Xuanxuan, when did you and Shangguan Yun get together? Don't forget to treat us and hand out candy."
Lili also started stirring things up; we're like that—whoever gets a boyfriend has to buy candy to hand out, saying it's wedding candy, and if they don't, at least let them nag for days so they can't have peace.
"We had an argument, and instead of comforting me you're asking for candy—do you guys have any conscience?" I said, feeling upset.
They really have no sympathy at all, saying we'll be reconciled by tomorrow like glue. They even teamed up to interrogate me, forcing me to explain how I got together with Shangguan Yun. I had no choice but to tell them about going to Lishui, where Shangguan Yun chased after me and explained everything clearly to them. Still, at first I glossed over some details and didn't explain thoroughly; some things are better kept to oneself, no need to share.
Evening self-study was about to start, and I rubbed my flat stomach helplessly saying, "I'm so hungry."
Although they told me to go eat first, I had no appetite—oh well, skipping a meal won't kill me, it's all Shangguan Yun's fault.
Time was almost up, so I went with them to school. I had thought Shangguan Yun wouldn't come back to school at night, but when we reached the classroom door, he was already in the hallway outside his classroom. I could tell he saw me, and I saw him too—but as soon as I saw him I quickly walked into the classroom. I was seething inside.
