Chapter 191: Heartbroken 6
Shangguan Yun saw me, walked over and sat beside me, smiling as he pulled me into his embrace and said, "You're late; why are you angry?"
"Nothing. What important matter did you go handle today? Can you tell me?" I said to him in a stiff tone. I still couldn't forget what that person had just said, so I wanted to probe Shangguan Yun's intentions.
"There are some things at my aunt's place, so I went over. Besides, my parents have come back, so I had to go. Honey, don't be angry."
"Really? You went to your aunt's? Then were you with another girl just now?" I asked him while looking at him. As I spoke, I noticed a flash of panic quickly cross his eyes, as if some lie had been exposed.
"No, what girl? I stayed at my aunt's place the whole afternoon." Shangguan Yun said in a steady tone, with no sign of lying detectable, but that brief flash of panic in his eyes just now made me unable to believe his words were true.
Since he had no intention of speaking, I also didn't intend to keep asking, and we didn't part ways until very late, when we finally went home.
Standing at the door, Tian Guan Yun said it was very late and suggested I not go back home tonight but stay at his place.
I had originally planned to go home with Shangguan Yun in the evening and, by the way, visit Yunxuan, but now I no longer have the mood for it.
I coldly said, "No need, haven't your parents come back? Besides, I promised my mother I would return home tonight." I said this expressionlessly, without even glancing at him.
"What's wrong? Didn't we agree that if it got late we'd go to my place to sleep? How did it change again?" Shangguan Yun perhaps still didn't understand why I was inexplicably angry like this, especially since we had already settled things nicely last night.
"If we agreed, can't we change it? Anyway, I'm going home." I continued to speak to him in an agitated tone.
I always felt he was hiding something from me, yet he was unwilling to tell me the truth.
Seeing my anger, Shangguan Yun agreed to send me home. When we reached the building entrance, just as he usually tried to pull me into his arms for a hug and a kiss, I dodged him, turned my back, and said, "I'm going up first; I really want to sleep."
