Chapter 192: Heartbreak 7
After returning to the room, I furtively lay against the window frame to look, and saw that Shangguan Yun was still there, hadn't left, was smoking a cigarette. I picked up my phone intending to send him a message telling him to go back to sleep early, but after picking it up I put it down again. To prevent Shangguan Yun from sneaking into my room again in the middle of the night, I jumped out of bed and locked the door.
Lying in bed I just couldn't sleep. Tossing and turning, that person's words kept echoing in my mind, and I kept wondering who the girl with Shangguan Yun was—could she be his new girlfriend?
Thinking of this, my heart began to ache, terribly painful, a feeling so painful I felt like I might suffocate. I had thought that when I heard Shangguan Yun had another girl, I would accept it calmly and tell him to break up in a carefree way, but now it's not the situation I had anticipated; my heart hurts terribly, I can't bring myself to accept that fact, and I start to fear leaving him, fearing he will drift away from my side.
When I crept up again and lay outside the window, there was no one below; Shangguan Yun had already left.
Although I held no hope of seeing Shangguan Yun again, when I couldn't see him my heart still felt empty.
I returned to bed again, pulled the covers over myself, and only after a long while did I slowly drift into sleep.
When I woke up the next day hoping to see Shangguan Yun, the door was still locked, and there was no sign of him. I glanced at the time—it was just past seven. I had been worrying about him all along, so I woke up this early. Upon waking, my eyes felt a bit sore; I grabbed my phone and looked, but there was no call or message from Shangguan Yun. I felt panicked—could he have changed his mind? Could he have done so so quickly? Does he no longer want me?
I asked myself over and over, found no answer, wanted to call him, but lacked the courage.
Feeling sleepy, my heart felt exhausted, I continued to burrow under the covers and sleep. When I woke up it was already noon; as they say, the more you sleep the softer your body becomes, and that's really true—I had slept half a day, still felt sleepy, but my stomach was starving, so I got up to eat.
