2723. Chapter 2723: Discussing the Engagement 2

"Okay, then come back early; we'll wait for you to come back together for lunch." Lao Ma said with a smile.

From the phone, one could tell that Lao Ma seemed quite happy.

She seemed to be in a good mood.

What's the matter? Could it be because of my engagement to Shangguan Yun?

Sigh...

Maybe; which parent doesn't hope their daughter can marry well?

Which parent, seeing their daughter get engaged, wouldn't be happy?

After hanging up the phone, I said to Shangguan Yun, "Sigh, hurry up and get up; Lao Ma said we should go back to eat, and moreover, your dad and my dad are discussing our engagement right now—quick, quick, hurry up and get up, let's go back."

Shangguan Yun had been lying there quite comfortably, but as soon as he heard me mention the engagement, he quickly rolled out of bed and got dressed faster than I did.

"Xuanxuan, hurry up, I've squeezed the toothpaste for you." Soon, Shangguan Yun heard the sound coming from the bathroom.

"Geez, do you really need to be in such a hurry? Even rushing to be reborn isn't this frantic." I said disdainfully.

"How could I not be in a hurry? This is my lifelong affair, after all, and I've put in a lot of effort to get it—don't you think I should be anxious?" Shangguan Yun said with a smile.

It seems Shangguan Yun is also in a good mood.

But it seems I'm the only one who's still feeling a bit nervous.

When I go back home later, I really don't know how to face Dad.

Although Dad already knows about our situation, I still feel like I can't hold my head up.

But since things have already happened, I have to lift my head up even if I feel unable to—what can I do?
