"But I want to send you back; I don't want you to be with that Ahao. He said he likes you." Shangguan Yun said jealously.

"Pfft." I laughed and said, "How could that be? What he said that day was definitely just angry words, spoken in a hurry. You actually believe that."

"I believe he likes you; you can tell from the way he looks at you. Besides, yesterday he saved me—if it weren't for him, I don't know if I could still be holding you and chatting like this. He said he saved me because of you." Shangguan Yun said seriously, his expression showing no sign of lying.

My heart gave a tug, it hurt a bit, and my body shuddered.

"What's wrong?" Shangguan Yun asked, looking at me nervously.

"I, I'm scared—if yesterday Ahao hadn't saved you, then now you… I'm scared…" My heart suddenly filled with fear; I clung tightly to Shangguan Yun, pressing my head close against his chest.

"It won't happen—I'm blessed with good fortune, and look, I'm talking fine with you now. Be good, don't worry, but you have to promise me not to get so close to Ahao; he likes you, and I don't like you being that close to him." Shangguan Yun said like a child.

"Even if he likes me, I don't like him—I'm your girlfriend, and I'm not like you. Besides, plenty of people like me." I said smugly.

"Then you're not allowed to get that close to him either—I won't allow it." Shangguan Yun began to speak domineeringly.

"But I also don't like you getting that close to Tingting—will you promise? I'd rather you never see him again—will you promise?" He began to be domineering, and I will be too.

"Anyway, I don't like it, I don't like it—Xuanxuan, promise me, please don't get that close to him, okay? I'm scared, I'm afraid he'll steal you away." Shangguan Yun said worriedly.

Hearing his words, my heart gave another slight tug as I said, "When did you become so lacking in self-confidence?"
