Chapter 4: Breakfast 2

Well, it's him, don't waste someone's kindness, eat up quickly. Lili said, then winked at me and sat down in the seat behind me.

Looking at the steaming buns, my stomach growled uncontrollably, so I grabbed a bun and wolfed it down. Because class was about to start, and also I was a bit too hungry.

After finishing, I still felt no gratitude toward Shangguan Yun; it was his fault I had no breakfast.

By noon, as soon as class ended, Shangguan Yun ran into the classroom, came to my seat, grabbed my hand and said, "Come on, let's go out to eat."

Going outside to eat seems like every student's dream; the school cafeteria food is really hard to swallow, but there's no choice—the school is closed-off, so normally to go out you need a leave slip from the homeroom teacher, otherwise you can't even think about leaving.

But there are some bad students in the school, like Shangguan Yun and his ilk; if you have a good relationship with the guard, you can come and go freely. So saying, this world is still unfair.

"No thanks." I shook off Shangguan Yun's hand, saying coldly.

I really don't want to have too much contact with him.

"You've got personality, I like it." Shangguan Yun stroked his chin, looking at me with interest.

"Come on. A Yun is treating, give him face." A Ji urged.

A Ji is Lili's boyfriend and also a classmate, but he's that kind of gangster-type guy; he's on good terms with Shangguan Yun, though he mostly just flatters Shangguan Yun.

Usually, we also hang out together chatting and joking around.

"It's not that I won't give face, it's just..." I said awkwardly.

"Are you afraid you can't get out?" Lili said bluntly.

"Uh, yeah, can't get out." I seemed to think this excuse was good, agreeing repeatedly.

"Heh, don't worry about that, just follow me." Shangguan Yun laughed, said that, then pulled my hand and walked out.

A Ji and Lili also followed behind. When we got downstairs, A Pao was waiting for us below.

A Pao is a first-year, also not someone who's easy to deal with, and he's a hooligan.
