Chapter 9: Selling Out
I don't know what Shangguan Yun said to Xuanxuan next; her expression changed a little, then she hung up and said, "Shangguan Yun told me to tell you not to avoid him—he knows you're nearby, and he also said that if you don't answer his call again, he'll come up. He gave you two minutes; if he still hasn't heard your voice, he'll be at our dorm in three minutes." Lulu said.
"Sigh, just now I was still praising you." I muttered, immediately pulled out my phone, turned it on, and dialed Shangguan Yun's number. Soon I heard Shangguan Qu's lazy voice: "Quickly."
"Uh, hehe... my phone just died." I said with a guilty look.
"Oh, what a coincidence." Shangguan Yun continued in his lazy tone.
"Um... then, Shangguan Yun classmate, what exactly do you want?" I said politely on purpose.
"Let's go eat together; Lili is also there."
"Eat? I just ate an apple, I'm not hungry now." I immediately brought out the apple as an excuse.
"One apple won't fill you up. Eat a bit more." Shangguan Yun said domineeringly.
"Uh, I've been dieting lately, so I won't go out to eat; I'll just grab something random at the school cafeteria later." I started speaking nonsense with wide eyes.
"Dieting? You can't be serious—you're already so thin and still dieting." Shangguan Yun's tone showed disbelief.
"Yeah, every girl loves beauty, so I'm no exception. If there's nothing else, I'll hang up now; if you have something to say, say it quickly." I said somewhat impatiently, my tone unnatural.
"Fine, do as you like." One could tell Shangguan Yun was also getting impatient.
After saying that, I hung up, sighed deeply, and lay weakly on the bed, saying: "What karma have I attracted lately to get involved with him?"
"You're having peach blossom luck—others can't even dream of it." Lulu said enviously.
"I'd rather not have it!" I shouted loudly.
Finally, Lili came back leisurely.
"Dead woman, you're finally back." Seeing Lili, I wanted to take out my anger on her. The phone number must have been given by her.
"Why don't you go out to eat? If you had money, you could enjoy a big meal—how nice that would be, but you, this stupid woman, don't know how to cherish it." Lili came over, lay down beside me, and pointed at me as she said.
