Chapter 155: Concealment and Decision
Hot Recommendation:
Ron was stunned; he hadn't expected Allen to want to go back and find that diary.
"That diary is so dangerous. What if we go looking for it and we all get controlled?" Ron said, somewhat panicked.
"I'm here. I've held that diary for over half a year and was never controlled. I'll go get the diary out; you just need to lead the way!" Allen moved closer to Ron and stared intently at him.
Ron grew even more panicked; it seemed the diary had left a huge shadow over him. "It's so late; if Filch catches us, it won't be good."
Allen had prepared for this long ago; he took out a piece of parchment and said, "I have Professor Flitwick's signature. With this, Filch won't catch us."
Ron hadn't expected Allen to have this move prepared; he couldn't find any other reason for a moment.
"Let's go quickly! Lest that diary harm others!" Allen urged Ron; he dared not give Ron time to think, fearing Ron might come up with the idea of finding a professor to go retrieve the diary together.

"That bathroom is completely deserted; no one will discover it..." Ron argued in a low voice.
Allen said nothing more and simply pulled him and walked away...
Ron gradually gave up struggling and began to lead the way resignedly...
And behind him, Allen quietly curled the corners of his lips—the plan was proceeding smoothly; the final piece would soon be in place...
They arrived smoothly at the entrance of the abandoned girls' bathroom; Ron was still somewhat hesitant, while Allen simply pushed the door open and walked in...
Ron had no choice but to follow inside.
"Where is it?" Allen's acting was quite good; Myrtle seemed to have gone elsewhere at this moment, which was even more favorable for his plan.
"There!" Ron led Allen to the door of the innermost stall but refused to go in no matter what.
Allen didn't force him; he simply drew his wand and walked in, casting several Lumos spells, summoning several orbs of light that slowly rotated above the stall.
"Is it in the tank?" Allen asked solemnly.
"Yes! Yes! You must be extra careful." Ron also drew his broken wand.
Allen carefully opened the tank and stuck his head in to take a look.
"It's not here!" Allen said, feigning surprise.
"Impossible; I clearly threw it in!" Ron said, incredulous.
"Really not here; come and see! Did you misremember while you were controlled?" Allen said with a solemn expression.
Ron was swayed by Allen; he carefully leaned in and discovered that the diary was indeed not inside.
"How is that possible!" Ron was shocked. "Could it be that I misremembered?"
Having said that, Ron flipped through the water tank of every stall toilet, but found nothing.
"Impossible! Impossible!" Ron clutched his head, unable to believe it.
"It seems the worst-case scenario has already happened! The diary was either taken by someone or ran away on its own!" Allen crossed his arms and said, touching his chin with his right hand.
Ron nodded numbly.
"Few people come to this place; the possibility of someone taking it is very small. Seeing that the diary ran away on its own! We must report to the professors immediately!" Allen carefully guided Ron's train of thought.
"No!" Ron suddenly snapped out of it. "I mean the professors won't believe us. Think about last year; Professor McGonagall wouldn't believe us either." Ron stammered.
"That's true. We have no evidence to prove our claims right now. If we rashly report to the professors, we'll definitely be treated as pranksters. I'm not afraid, but Professor McGonagall might write to your family because of it..." Allen's lips curled up quietly again; Ron was really cooperative!
"Yes, that's exactly what I'm afraid of..." Ron said in a low voice,
"Mom might even send me a Howler." He shivered as he said this.
"So what do we do now?" Allen's tone remained very gentle.
"I don't know! My mind is very confused right now." Ron hugged his head again, messing up his red hair even more with his hands.
"How about this!" Allen felt the timing was right and said after a moment of thought, "Let's pretend today's incident never happened. When the diary reappears and causes trouble, we'll tell the professors what we know; then the professors will believe us..."
"But..." Ron hesitated about this plan.
"Do you have any better ideas?" Allen retorted without any courtesy.
"No..." Ron said dejectedly. "This is the best plan."
"I will keep this matter secret. Only the two of us will know. I won't tell Hermione or Harry either; I'm afraid they will form a bad impression of you because of this." Allen continued to speak softly.
"Thank you, Allen!" Ron looked at Allen gratefully.
"Who else are we if not friends? Now let's hurry back; it's too late. Harry will be worried about us." Allen suggested.
"Okay!" Ron couldn't wait to leave this place.
So they quickly left the bathroom. The bathroom fell silent, and a moment later, Myrtle's crying began to be heard again...
Allen and Ron returned smoothly to the Gryffindor tower.
Just as they were about to enter, Ron suddenly called out to Allen.
"Allen, you've had the diary in your hands for so long; what did you use the diary for?" Ron asked; this question had been bottled up in his heart the whole way.
Allen hadn't expected Ron to ask this question. Looking at Ron, whose eyes were somewhat averted, he smiled and said, "Yodell knows many memory spells; I am learning memory spells from him."
"Wow!" Ron exclaimed with an ambiguous meaning.
Allen lay on his four-poster bed, stroking the sphere in his hand, his mind engaged in rapid thought.
Regarding this diary escape incident, he considered it a good thing; through Ron's experience, he saw the fangs hidden beneath Yodell's peaceful exterior.
Although he had gone to great lengths to conceal the diary's existence, how to deal with the diary had become an urgent matter.
For a moment, Allen had the impulse to hand the diary over directly, but after careful consideration, he found this plan was not the one that maximized his own interests; the Pensieve was currently too important to him.
He wanted to try to turn Yodell again, even if his true form was very likely Voldemort.
Regarding this action, he had thought it over repeatedly.
First, he had held the diary for over half a year without being controlled, showing that Yodell found it difficult to control him and could only influence him through words;
Then, Ron broke free from Yodell's control, making him realize that Yodell's control ability wasn't that strong, and from the process of Ron being controlled, it appeared that Yodell needed time to control a person;
Finally, during Ron's process of breaking free, Yodell had no reaction throughout, showing that Yodell had no means to influence reality, or rather, that Yodell was still very weak at present.
So, Allen believed it was still safe for him to approach Yoder and attempt to turn him now, but out of caution, he still needed to make some extra preparations...
Allen pondered repeatedly all night long; finally, in the morning, he handed Harry a small mithril box, asking him to keep constant watch on any changes to the box.
Then he drew the curtains of his four-poster bed.
He took a deep breath, pulled out the soaking wet diary, and wrote on it with a quill:
Yoder, I am here to discuss terms!
