Chapter 156: Tom Marvolo Riddle

Hot Recommendation:

"Long time no see, come into the Thought Cottage!" Text began to appear on the diary.

"Good!" Allen quickly wrote this sentence, then continued to release 30% of his inner self...

Then he was pulled into the Thought Cottage.

The Thought Cottage remained pure white, with many memories floating inside; each memory contained many complex and obscure ancient runes, adding a touch of life to the pure white Thought Cottage.

These memories were all processed by Allen over the past half-year, and during the period the diary was lost, Yodel had not cleared them away.

"Look! How beautifully your memories have decorated the Thought Cottage!" Yodel appeared beside Allen at some point, speaking with a tone of admiration.

"Long time no see!" Allen said in a relaxed tone; Yodel still looked handsome and peaceful.

"It has been a long time. Ron Weasley stole me, and then..." Yodel unusually sped up his speech, but suddenly saw Allen looking at him with a calm, slightly mocking gaze, and he froze.

"Why stop talking?" Allen said softly.

It seems placing the diary in a mithril box can indeed block Yodel's perception; Yodel had no idea what happened afterward. Allen thought silently in his heart.

Yodel fell silent; he was momentarily unable to figure out Allen's intentions, only constantly observing Allen's expression.

Allen paid no heed to Yodel's silence. "The space inside the diary seems vast, but it is actually quite small. For you, this is actually a prison, isn't it?"

"What are you talking about? I've been here for so many years and am used to it; besides, you often keep me company chatting." Yodel's expression showed no flaw whatsoever.

Allen sensed Yodel's slippery nature; he decided to be direct. "Your true form is Voldemort, isn't it!" He stared intently at Yodel.

Yodel seemed shocked by Allen's words. "How is that possible? How could you have such an outrageous idea?"

"I think we should be honest; otherwise, I'll take the diary to ask Dumbledore. Professor Dumbledore was also your Transfiguration teacher during your studies at Hogwarts; he must recognize you, Yodel." Allen pressed relentlessly, giving Yodel no time to breathe.

Yodel narrowed his eyes; his expression became distorted. This was the first time Allen had seen Yodel like this.

"How did you discover it? I thought I hid myself very well." Yodel said with hatred.

"Oh? So you admit it yourself?" Allen said, feigning surprise.

"You—" Yodel stared angrily at Allen; he felt he had been tricked. "You tricked me?"

"Not exactly tricking you; I suspected you were Voldemort long ago, but couldn't confirm it." Allen said softly. "Remember the Cruciatus Curse you mentioned that day? The third level of the Cruciatus Curse is indeed as you guessed; the fourth level is enjoying the sensation of inflicting pain. All of this Voldemort taught me."

Yodel's expression turned to shock; he never expected to be exposed this way.

"But at that time I still couldn't be certain; however, after Ron told me everything that happened to him, this suspicion was greatly strengthened." Allen watched Yodel's expression with interest.

"Brilliant!" Yodel suddenly clapped his hands. "But you made a serious mistake. After deducing who I am, you still dared to be arrogant and enter the diary alone. You are seeking your own death."

Allen sneered, opened his arms, and approached Yodel, saying: "The reason I dared to come is that I saw your weakness!"

"What you rely on is merely the ability to control minds, and for the past half-year you seem powerless against me!" Allen said with a light laugh.

"Then aren't you afraid I still have a backup plan?" Yodel's momentum was not weak at all.

"I am afraid! But I also have a backup plan!" Allen continued to match him blow for blow.

Yodel's expression underwent some changes.

"Before I came in, I gave Harry a small box. The small box was transformed by a Transfiguration spell; that spell will expire in half an hour. Inside the box is a letter containing everything about the diary. After Harry reads the letter, he will go find Professor Dumbledore."

"So, you must hurry. You now have only thirty... no... twenty minutes..." Allen said calmly.

Yodel stared coldly at Allen; several chains composed of black smoke unknowingly crawled up Allen's calves.

"If I were you, I wouldn't talk so much nonsense." Yodel said with a cold sneer.

Having spoken, his body turned into a wisp of black smoke and lunged at Allen.

Allen's heart stirred; the next moment his consciousness detached from the diary, and those chains made of black mist seemed to have no effect on him.

"It seems you are even weaker than I imagined!" Allen brought the diary to his lips and whispered, "Let's continue our good talk!"

The next moment he was pulled into the Thought Cottage by Yodel; Yodel regained his calm expression. "What do you want to discuss?"

"You are powerless against me now. Although I cannot destroy you, Professor Dumbledore certainly can. So, do you choose destruction or survival?" Allen pressed relentlessly.

"What is the price of survival? Submitting to you?" Yodel said mockingly.

Allen fell silent; he could think of a more euphemistic phrasing, but that would not change the essence of the question at all.

"What gave you the illusion that I could submit to you?" Yodel's expression became arrogant.

【To be honest, recently I've been using Mimi Reading to read and chase updates; switch sources, multiple narration voices, available on Android and iPhone.】

"If survival can only be like this, then I would rather choose destruction!" Yodel's eyes became sharp.

Allen did not expect Yodel to be so resolute. "We will return to how things were before, Yodel."

"My name is not Yodel! My full name is—"

As he spoke, three shining names appeared before him:

Tom Marvolo Riddle.

Then these letters automatically rearranged themselves, becoming:

I am Voldemort.

"Do you see?" Riddle said excitedly. "I used this name when I was studying at Hogwarts, of course, only with my closest friends. Do you think I would use the name of my filthy Muggle father for the rest of my life?"

"You must know, the very blood of Salazar Slytherin himself flows in my veins, passed down to me through his daughter! Would I still keep that disgusting ordinary Muggle's name? He abandoned me before I was even born!"

"So I invented a new name for myself. I know that one day, when I become the greatest wizard in the world, wizards everywhere will not dare to utter this name lightly!"

"As a descendant of Salazar Slytherin, how could I submit to you, filthy Mudblood?"
