Chapter 1611
This is it again—this isn't the first time the Star Migrator has tried to coax Ange into learning Star Migration from him. For eleven years now, whenever he gets the chance, he urges Ange to study Star Migration with him, repeatedly describing the benefits of becoming a Star Migrator and constantly promising various tempting conditions. If Ange hadn't already been able to breach the barrier, he probably would have agreed by now.
"Your Excellency Star Migrator is joking—what's the point of learning Star Migration if there are no Divine Stars left to migrate to here?" Antony laughed.
"But we do have one now, don't we? We can even bring other Divine Stars in. This place is too barren—we should migrate some Divine Stars here to liven things up." The Star Migrator kept urging.
"Why all this fuss? Are you hiding something from us, Your Excellency Star Migrator?" Antony questioned.
If Antony had never been to the outside world, he might not have questioned so directly, but instead hinted indirectly. Now that he's been outside and gathered some information, he can ask more pointedly.
"Ah? No, no—I just think this place is too desolate. I want some liveliness. With no Divine Stars at all, my existence as a Star Migrator feels meaningless." The Star Migrator said, troubled.
"Hehe, I see. Then why not just breed more Star Descendants? That'd liven things up. Or drag over a few leaves, cultivate some lifeforms—wouldn't that be lively too? Oh, you don't have a World Tree—want the Treant to send you a sapling?" Antony said with a smirk.
The Star Migrator was left speechless by the retort and realized his cheap talk wouldn't fool Antony. He quickly changed the subject: "How's the situation? Can you beat him? Want help?"
Antony asked doubtfully: "How would you help? Can you even beat him?"
"Uh, I can't—he's a Divine Star, I'm only a Dark Star. But I can try to restrain him." The Star Migrator said.
"Hehe, appreciate the thought, but no need—my lord can handle it. Don't get any closer, or you might get caught in the crossfire." Antony said, then summoned a Star Descendant to stand guard here.
Antony had deployed many such guard units—same as before—now routine. It's not just to stop the Star Migrator's approach, but also to keep anything else from sneaking in.
Earlier, they'd stockpiled large amounts of Black Mist at the triangular gap to prevent the breach from being discovered. Now Ange has commandeered that mist, so guarding it is even more critical—lest someone else find it.
"Ah? You won't let me near? We've known each other so long—you're even guarding against me now?" The Star Migrator lamented.
"Nowhere, nowhere—I just don't want you hurt. You can still see clearly from here, can't you? Don't get too close." Though his tone already showed clear disdain, Antony stubbornly refused to admit it.
Still, even if he didn't dislike him, Antony couldn't possibly let a Divine Star of unknown allegiance draw near—who knows if he'd suddenly go mad and pull some stunt.
Antony refused to budge, and the Star Migrator didn't want to turn hostile, so he could only stay put, gazing off into the distance.
After all, a Divine Star is a Divine Star—even though the Star Migrator is a Dark Star, he's essentially a lesser Divine Star, equally possessing a powerful Star Soul. At this distance, Antony can no longer clearly see Ange's Stellar God and Giant Spider, only a massive orb of light. But the Star Migrator can still make out the battle's details.
"Why are your main star's Star Descendant avatars so large?" After clearly seeing both sides of the fight, the Star Migrator asked, somewhat bewildered.
Antony certainly wouldn't miss the chance to probe indirectly, asking doubtfully: "Your Excellency Star Migrator, have you never seen such a colossal Star Descendant before?"
The Star Migrator pondered, then said: "I have—but not as independent entities. Rather, they're formed by many Star Descendants linked together. I've never seen a single one this large on its own."
"Your Excellency Star Migrator truly lives up to the name—broad knowledge indeed, having even witnessed such mass linkages of Star Descendants. What do they link up for?" Antony asked.
Flattered by Antony's praise, the Star Migrator replied: "By linking like this, they can unite all consciousness and create a powerful collective awareness."
"Create?" Antony asked, bewildered.
"Yes, of course—but only temporarily. Once the link is severed, it vanishes." The Star Migrator said.
While distracted answering, the Star Migrator's focus remained on Ange's battle with the Fort of Garmes. After watching a while, he couldn't help but say: "Is this just a war of attrition? How long will this go on?"
Antony felt a stir inside, then feigned offense: "My lord is already crushing the enemy—their consumption is greater. Isn't this how Divine Star battles always go? Or do you have a better method?"
"Divine Stars all have cores—hit that, and you win…" Saying this, the Star Migrator glanced at Antony, then fell silent.
"Who doesn't know to strike the weak point—but how? Do you have a good method?" Antony pressed, inwardly sighing—this Star Migrator's reflexes were too sharp.
The Star Migrator had already caught on, so naturally he couldn't speak the truth—just deflected with a chuckle: "Of course—just pierce his core in one strike, so the core can no longer bind the Stellar Flame, and it will naturally dissipate."
Antony helplessly twisted his lips—blasting Garmes' core like that? Ange had planned that from the start, but the spear just slid in, only to be easily severed by the Stellar Flame.
Don't be fooled by the Stellar Flame flowing on the surface like water—it's not fragile. It's not water at all, but condensed energy. It's equivalent to a magical shield millions of kilometers thick—and scorching hot and pressurized. Even a light graze is like being scraped by millions of exploding fireballs in a line.
This is a pure energy shield. To break through and strike the core directly, you need strength enough to withstand its drain—but often, the very thing that makes Divine Stars despair is their own strength.
Unless something exists that can endure the Divine Star's high heat and pressure, then reach the core.
Just then, a sudden shift: the Giant Spider locked in combat with Ange abruptly shot backward, retreating to the Divine Star's surface, then glared hatefully at Ange before turning and diving into the Stellar Flame.
And the entire Divine Star of the Fort of Garmes suddenly surged forward, carving a massive arc as it veered off in another direction.
Ange immediately gave chase.
"What……what happened?" Antony and the Star Migrator stared at each other, then asked in unison.
In the Soul Network, Nai Ge Li Si laughed and explained: "When Ange stabbed him earlier, he left the Unmixed Melting Fire inside him, then had Shama La and Seraphim Luna corrupt him. Now he's noticed, summoned the Giant Spider back to hunt down Shama La and Seraphim Luna—I don't know if he can banish that fallen angel, or else he'll end up just like the Old Star."
