Chapter 311: Risk of Identity Exposure

The appearance of this Hot Search made many people feel stirred with emotion.

"People always say, how much is kindness worth? Well, today I can tell you loudly: kindness is worth 4.129 billion!"

With many factors combined, in just 24 hours, major charitable organizations received over 4 billion in donations!

This amount is terrifyingly high.

Under normal circumstances, only when some major event occurs can such a high amount of charity funds be raised in a single day.

One can only say this is a special case, and a special case among special cases!

Layer upon layer, link upon link.

Many netizens also expressed: "This is the most expensive song I have ever heard!"

"I feel like I participated in a very meaningful action."

"I don't know why, but I kind of want to cry."

As mentioned before, the regulation of charity in Blue Star is much stricter than on Earth; almost no scandals have been exposed, and it is more transparent and open.

This also makes everyone more enthusiastic about charity, rather than harboring resentment.

On Earth, in 2020, the total annual charity amount exceeded 200 billion.

The total annual charity amount in Blue Star Huaxia is higher than on Earth; last year it was 250 billion.

It is conceivable that in the next few days, more people will continue to participate in the act of offering love.

……

……

Throughout the entire charity event, Luo Mo personally donated another 5 million.

A single donation as high as 5 million is already considered quite exaggerated in the entertainment industry; any higher would not be good, as it would not only fail to bring positive guidance but might even trigger some flame wars.

Fandoms are sometimes terrifying, and donation amounts will definitely be used for comparison.

Luo Mo's fans are very laid-back, but the fear is that someone might use Luo Mo's donation amount as a weapon.

This also meant that not many people went to his Weibo to pressure him to donate, and not many people scolded him.

Everyone thinks he is a participant in this trend, little do they know... he is the root!

Luo Mo has always been keen on doing charity, so seeing everyone so active, he just followed along to respond.

He certainly wouldn't stop donating under Luo Mo's personal name just because he had already donated a lot under the identity of 【Earth】.

What would be the point?

For a bunch of people to come and pressure him to donate, and then finally reveal his identity to slap their faces?

He had previously been donating under both the names 【Earth】 and 【Luo Mo】. One belongs to "paying copyright fees," and the other is personal awareness; they are two different things.

As a Top Traffic, as one of the public figures with the highest heat, he should have actively participated in this kind of positive energy action.

His personal influence is too great!

If he follows along and does it, many people will follow suit; it has a hundred benefits and no harm.

If he doesn't do it, it would actually have a hundred harms and no benefit.

In that case, the nature of it would change; it wouldn't be doing charity, it would just be a passion for showing off, and a passion for slapping the faces of those who pressure others to donate and keyboard warriors.

"Everything is fine, isn't it good for everyone to happily offer their love?"

"Anyway... I'm not short of this 5 million."

……..

……..

After this incident, Teacher 【Earth】 can be said to be in the limelight, chasing right after Luo Mo himself.

Luo Mo himself did not expect that after opening a secret identity, it would become popular so quickly.

It stands to reason that 【Earth】 is engaged in behind-the-scenes work, and it is relatively slow for behind-the-scenes personnel to become popular; many have even written a large number of hit songs, yet people are still incredibly unfamiliar with their names.

Is it timing? Is it fate?

Perhaps it is both.

But in his view, this is beneficial to his vast Earth Project.

It's just that there are some titles he really doesn't dare to accept, such as—【King of Entertainment Charity】.

He feels he certainly cannot afford such a title for the time being; he has been doing these things for less than a year, while there are also some big stars in Blue Star who have been silently doing charity for more than ten years or even longer.

One cannot crown him with such a big title just because this wave of movement caused a big stir.

One can only say it is still because the amount is too large.

You know, like on Earth, the well-known charity gala in the entertainment industry, "Bazaar Charity," during Su Mang's tenure, the fundraising in 2017 was the peak of recent years, at 103 million.

After she left her post, the big stars who came to support began to decrease, and the total amount of charitable funds raised also began to slide.

【Earth】 donated nearly 100 million alone, comparable to a grand charity gala, which is why it looked so scary and made people feel shocked.

Time passed quickly, and the filming of "Chinese Paladin: Jingtian Chapter" was proceeding in an orderly manner.

At the same time, "Masked Singer" also ushered in a new episode.

In this episode, the track performed by 【Superstar】 is called "Herding Horses in the City."

A song that Luo Mo himself quite likes; he feels this song has quite a vibe when listening to it.

—Take dreams as horses!

The final result was again first place in the whole show; it can be said that in the program "Masked Singer," 【Superstar】 is already about to dominate.

This makes the contestant 【Heavenly Queen: False Realm】, Chun Xiao, incredibly frustrated.

Pineapple over there is also a bit depressed.

Originally, actually, even if he only took second place, it would be fine; let everyone shine in their own way.

But who would have thought that a behind-the-scenes Lyricist would end up absorbing most of the spotlight.

Nobody on this show cares about who the runner-up is; they only want to know the true identities of 【Superstar】 and 【Earth】!

By the afternoon, Luo Mo received a call from a staff member at his studio. After hanging up, he muttered to himself, "The Hua Ge Award is about to begin."

As mentioned before, the 【Golden Melody Awards】 are held before the New Year, while the 【Hua Ge Award】 is always held after.

It's just that this year's 【Hua Ge Award】 seems to be a little later than in previous years, by nearly a month.

As for why, the organizers have not publicly announced the specific reason.

But Luo Mo is very clear: "The people at the Hua Ge Award must know that 【Earth】 is my alias."

The reason is simple: Luo Mo has to hold the copyrights to those songs himself.

He can use as many pen names as he wants when writing songs; no one cares if he opens ten thousand aliases.

However, personal information must be provided in the copyright registration.

After all, a pen name and the person behind it must be linked.

As mentioned before, the 【Hua Ge Award】 carries a certain official status, which is clearly different from the 【Golden Melody Awards】.

Therefore, Luo Mo feels that in front of the organizers, he is likely unable to escape detection and has no way to hide.

"Sigh, that really lowers the fun factor quite a bit."

"Otherwise, after opening an alias, I might have been able to win a few Newcomer awards," Luo Mo said with a smile.

Truth be told, it is precisely because of the awards for Newcomers that such alias behavior is prohibited.

Otherwise, Luo Mo might have been able to monopolize awards like 【Best New Lyricist】 for several years by using aliases.

"I wonder what kind of harvest I'll have from participating in the 【Hua Ge Award】 for the first time," he thought to himself.

……..

……..

As a major event in the music scene, the 【Hua Ge Award】 can be said to be grand and spectacular every year.

Due to its official nature, a large number of state media outlets stand in support of it every year.

Compared to the 【Golden Melody Awards】, the 【Hua Ge Award】 is slightly weaker in terms of popularity and entertainment value, but overall, it still gives out awards based on the preferences of the Masses.

This time, the netizens have learned to be smart.

"I'll just ask one thing: does anyone still dare to set a flag at Luo Mo's place?"

"I'm scared, I'm scared; I won't dare to do it again."

"He gets the glory and I suffer? Am I an idiot or something?"

Of course, there are also some who are keen on stirring up trouble, who one after another say: "I was wrong, but I dare to do it again this time!"

Previously, Luo Mo's "five kills" in one night at the 【Golden Melody Awards】 could be said to have shocked everyone.

This person seems born to create miracles, constantly breaking everyone's perceptions.

Instead, many people are joking around on the internet.

"No matter how Ox you are, Luo Mo, it's hard to get a Grand Slam because you didn't win 【Best Newcomer】!"

"Told you you were Ox, told you you were heaven-sent, can't get a Grand Slam now, can you?"

"Luo Mo: Blame me for being too strong?"

This is also something that can't be helped; after all, if he were classified as a Newcomer, he could only win awards for Newcomers, and would miss out on all the other major awards.

Yet his album "Red" is ridiculously strong; if he only took awards for Newcomers, the other major awards would be impossible to justify to the public.

This has led to the possibility that Luo Mo's path to receiving awards might leave behind a small regret.

Regarding this, he personally is quite indifferent.

The only thing he is worried about now is—will my identity be exposed?

What if 【Earth】 wins some award? What should be done then?

He himself is quite indifferent; he is mainly afraid of affecting Li Junyi's 【Superstar】 identity and the program "Masked Singer".

It is also mainly because the nature of the 【Hua Ge Award】 is different. If it were the 【Golden Melody Awards】, one could communicate in advance; for example, if 【Earth】 won an award, he could find someone to accept it on his behalf while he continued to hide his identity, even sitting in the audience with a smile, clapping for Teacher 【Earth】.

If it were exposed later, it could become an interesting anecdote.

"Shocking! Golden Melody Awards organizers actually assisted Luo Mo in doing such a thing."

The 【Hua Ge Award】 is harder to deal with; Luo Mo doesn't think he is that well-connected, so he just lies flat and chooses to slack off.

—Let it be!

"I can only take it one step at a time," Luo Mo thought.

Ding! Danger alert, you are at risk of having your identity exposed.

(PS: First update, asking for monthly votes.

I don't know why, but many people are guessing that the next part will be Luo Mo not donating money, then being forced to donate, and then a Reversal slap in the face. Actually, many hints have already been very obvious; there won't be such a plot that everyone is tired of watching. "Masked Singer" is still far from ending; how could a variety show have its finale after only four episodes? Also, as mentioned earlier, Luo Mo, a Newcomer who just turned 25, has already donated over 50 million in total; who could criticize him? How could such a person be forced to donate?

The reason for writing this kind of content is just to use a different way of writing about Singing, and to connect it with the foreshadowing from earlier.

By the way, let me reveal that I actually wrote this exact same forced-donation plot back in 2017. The readers' response back then was excellent; they thought it was very novel and combined with reality. At the time, several entertainment genre authors in the author group said—this trope is great, copied!)
