Chapter 323: Earth> Is Really Coming

The grand finale of "Masked Singer" will be broadcast live next week.

The five singers who made it to the finals can each invite one Guest Singer. The requirement is that the guest singer must also compete while masked.

Since everyone is masked, there is a trick to this.

The guest singer system is actually unfair.

The higher the popularity and the greater the status of the guest singer, the stronger their appeal for votes on-site will surely be.

Some unknown, obscure singers might sing ever so well on stage, but they still might not compare to a First-line Singer just shouting a few notes.

But if everyone is masked, it's a different story.

For those singers whose vocal lines and singing styles are quite unique—the kind where everyone can tell who it is the moment they hear them—the advantage will be maximized!

For example, if both are second-line singers, one has a voice with no distinct features, so in a masked situation, people have no idea who they are.

The other, the moment they are heard, everyone knows it is so-and-so; naturally, that is better for pulling votes.

Li Junyi is particularly lucky in this regard.

Although Luo Mo Studio currently only has four male singers, including Luo Mo, every single one of them is unique!

Once Sun Yi found his path, that slightly lazy voice of his became very easy to recognize.

As for Tong Shu, his voice, which is indistinguishable between male and female and called heavenly by many, goes without saying.

Luo Mo's singing style is quite varied, but his songs are too popular; no matter the style, countless people have crazily put them on loop, so one can tell it's him the moment they hear it.

Logically speaking, there is a certain gap in the caliber of the program "Masked Singer" compared to "King of Love Songs".

There is no need for Luo Mo to step in at all; if either Sun Yi or Tong Shu went, and Luo Mo helped write a song, it would be enough to dominate the stage.

But he still chose to make time to go himself.

Nothing else, he simply wants to go in person to support his little brother.

Li Junyi has been stifled for too long, and has worked hard for too long.

It just so happens there is a song that he feels is quite suitable for Li Junyi's experiences and mindset over the past half year.

It is also very suitable for... his own self from Earth.

For this reason, Luo Mo specifically asked the "Masked Singer" production team to customize a mask.

It uses a portrait-style pattern, looking as if he is wearing a cartoon avatar.

It is the face of a plain, ordinary man.

It looks somewhat similar to Luo Mo from Earth!

………

………

At night, as usual, if Xu Chujing hasn't fallen asleep yet, the two will chat for a bit and then wish each other goodnight.

He is currently sprawled out in his hotel room at the film and television city; having been exhausted for a day, he cannot muster much strength.

Xu Chujing sent him a message on WeChat: "Director Ke sent me an invitation, wanting me to be a celebrity guest for the grand finale of 'Masked Singer'."

"His wishful thinking is so loud, I feel like I have tinnitus," Luo Mo said.

Luo Mo goes on stage to guest sing, and Xu Chujing gives critiques from off-stage.

One can imagine how big the audience's reaction will be when the moment of unmasking comes!

But if one were to call Ke Ming a dog of a director, that would also be true.

Just imagine, the 【Mo Xu CP】 is now one of the biggest forces on the internet and is developing extremely rapidly; Luo Mo suspects that more than half of his fans and Xu Chujing's fans have already fallen and joined this organization.

And many passersby have also "eaten the sugar" of the two.

But everyone does not know that the 【Superstar】's guest singer is Luo Mo, and does not know that 【Earth】 is Luo Mo.

On the internet, many people are comparing Luo Mo and 【Earth】.

Then, Xu Chujing praising 【Earth】's song on stage will surely trigger heated discussions among the audience; won't the show's highlights come all at once?

From another perspective, Luo Mo went to be a guest for the semi-finals, and Xu Chujing followed by going to the grand finale... if this isn't "the husband sings and the wife follows," what is it?

The nature of CP fans is that they will find their own sugar to eat.

Can they resist not "eating" this kind of sugar!?

Under these circumstances, if the show's popularity doesn't skyrocket, it would be a bit unjustifiable.

It is precisely because of this that Luo Mo said Director Ke's wishful thinking was so loud it gave him tinnitus.

Far away in Shanghai, Xu Chujing had just finished showering and was lying on the soft bed in her bathrobe; after turning to her side, a long, rounded, fair leg was revealed from the hem of the bathrobe.

She curled up on the bed like a cat, smiling as she typed her reply: "I checked, I happen to have an opening that day."

She didn't say whether she was going or not, because she wanted to hear Luo Mo ask her to go together.

"Then if you're willing, just come," Luo Mo said.

In his view, the two of them, currently in the ambiguous phase, already have very full work schedules; if they could work in the same place and get paid for it, that would be... too sweet, right?

During "Creating Idols", he was doing a talent show while getting paid.

Now, does this count as a paid date?

Xu Chujing looked at the message Luo Mo sent, rolled over on the bed, stretched her limbs like a cat stretching in its cat bed, and then replied with a smile: "Then I'll do you a favor."

Ke Ming can't get me to participate in variety shows.

But you can.

……..

……..

Time flies, and in the blink of an eye, the new weekend is almost here.

The final episode of "Fog Hill of the Five Elements" is also about to air.

In just two short weeks, this anime has sparked a huge response; it can be said that all major channels are helping to promote it.

This was aided by Penguin Video and Little Rotten Station, but more importantly, it was because this anime itself contained so many Huaxia cultural elements.

Therefore, it was set up as a model!

However, after finishing the third episode, many viewers were bewildered.

"It's gone!? There's nothing left after this!?"

"I feel like I didn't watch the main feature, just an introduction!"

"Speechless, the story just started, and it's already over."

"How can there be an anime in this world with only three episodes in a season?"

"How dare they call it the first season when it's this short!"

Clearly, the three episodes only laid out the grand background and the main storyline.

Gold, Wood, Water, Fire, Earth, the Five Elements Envoys.

Greed, Hatred, Ignorance, these are the demonic creatures.

Plus the holy beast, the Qilin.

All the main characters appeared within these three episodes.

The performance of the entire anime, however, can be described as heaven-defying.

As mentioned before, the view count algorithm of Little Rotten Station is different from any other video platform.

For a single user, no matter how many times they watch it that day, it only counts as 1 view. At the same time, it only counts after watching for a certain duration.

This makes it so that while other platforms hit 100 million views on the first day, for Little Rotten Station, hitting 100 million total views is already incredibly Ox.

And "Fog Hill of Five Elements", with only 3 episodes, is only in its third week of airing, yet the total view count has already reached 110 million!

Breaking 100 million in three episodes shocked the entire Little Rotten Station.

What made this anime directly reach legendary status on Blue Star was that tonight, CCTV named and praised this anime in the news.

Although it only took up a dozen seconds in the news, you have to realize, this is News Broadcast!

This supreme honor made countless people in the anime industry incredibly envious.

At the same time, it also greatly encouraged many people.

"Clearly, CCTV supports everyone's efforts to make anime with our Huaxia characteristics!"

"This is an attitude! It is also a form of recognition!"

"Luo Mo Studio is Ox! Tongguang Studio is Ox!"

As for this god-tier anime having only three short episodes, many viewers expressed... they were used to it.

After all, you have to look at whose name is written in the columns for screenwriter, producer, and co-director of this anime.

That man, who first entered the public eye on the program "Creating Idols", sang half of "Gentle".

That man, his first anime work, had episodes that were only a few minutes long.

Everyone was already used to his short and punchy style, and used to his nature of loving to keep people in suspense.

How should I put it?

——The persona hasn't collapsed!

His persona has remained consistent throughout; this person has never changed!

A thousand words finally summarized into that old cliché:

"Luo Mo, work overtime!"

I have to say, the 【willpower】 of the masses is indeed effective.

Luo Mo finished his busy work on set and took a car to Hangzhou to undergo a closed-door rehearsal.

Tomorrow is the grand finale night of "Masked Singer", and the program team will announce the list of celebrity guests for the finale at 8:00 PM tonight, as well as the codenames of the guest singers for each masked singer.

Originally, netizens were not actually interested in this news.

The guest singers are all masked anyway, what's there to guess.

The poster released by the program team might leave some clues, but before the official performance, it's still hard to guess based on a poster.

It wasn't until the "Masked Singer" program team announced that top diva Xu Chujing would be the special invited guest for the finale that the netizens completely boiled over!

"With Jing coming as a celebrity guest, I feel like the class and quality of the show have improved."

"It's a pity that Jing is only a celebrity guest, not a guest singer; it's been a long time since I heard Jing sing live."

"Oh my, if Jing came to be a guest singer, wouldn't that be bullying others!"

"Exactly, if Jing came to be a guest singer, in my heart, only Luo Mo could compete with her."

"I'm shipping this so hard! Luo Mo just came for the semi-finals, and Xu Chujing is coming for the finals! If this isn't remote interaction, what is?"

"Everyone recite with me: Mo Xu CP is real!"

Many netizens thought that after Xu Chujing's poster was announced, the program team's promotional activities for the day should have reached their peak.

But no one expected that half an hour later, the program team's official Weibo would drop another bombshell.

It was a poster for a guest singer; the mask on his head was a cartoon face, drawn in a relatively realistic style, a bit like a portrait.

It's just that this face was a bit plain, and could even be described with the two words "plainly ugly".

And the reason the netizens were so shocked was that he was the guest singer for 【Superstar】.

At the same time, he had a codename that had been incredibly famous recently, a codename that had climbed the Weibo Hot Search several times:

——【Earth】!
