Chapter 482: The Plan to Create a Diva

The next day, Jiang Ningxi and Shen Yinuo dressed up meticulously and headed to Xinyu Building for a meeting.

In the Aurora Girls' group chat, they were still competing to see who was the most beautiful last night.

It is said that everyone gains three pounds over the New Year, but female celebrities have their own necessary body management; many female idols have their weight strictly required by their companies, and it is even written into their Contract.

Because Aurora Girls are the "favored daughters" of Xinyu, they don't have so many messy indicators; they just have serious internal competition, competing on beauty.

As for the judge of this beauty pageant, the candidate decided upon internally was—Music Director Luo Mo.

Today's meeting was actually also led by Luo Mo.

He would talk about Xinyu's general direction in music this year, as well as some of his plans.

He still had to do the work of a Music Director; he couldn't just take a salary and shares and then do nothing.

Last year, the "One Person One Representative Work" plan he pushed could be said to have concluded successfully.

Aside from a small number of songs he kept for himself, Luo Mo basically wrote all the songs in the medley "King of Love Songs" for Xinyu's Singers.

Therefore, throughout the whole of last year, Xinyu and Luo Mo Studio could be said to have carried out a massacre in the music scene.

Let alone the waning Pineapple, even the music scene's top dog, Magnetic Dragon, was no match for Xinyu.

By the time Jiang Ningxi and Shen Yinuo arrived at the conference room, people like "Tao Jie" Chen Shanqi had already arrived early.

As soon as Xiao Shen saw Tao Jie, she circled around her and then said, "Chen is still in such good shape."

This peach-shaped butt was truly too superior; wearing any pair of jeans would give people infinite allure.

Chen Shanqi was just about to speak when she saw Luo Mo push the door open and enter.

As soon as he came in, all the Singers who were sitting stood up, and those who were already standing and chatting with others immediately stopped their idle talk, their gazes converging on him.

"Director Luo."

"Director Luo."

People kept greeting Luo Mo, and Luo Mo also swept his gaze over everyone.

"Happy New Year, everyone sit down," Luo Mo said with a smile.

As long as the first lunar month hasn't passed, it is still acceptable to say Happy New Year.

What's more, the Lantern Festival hasn't even arrived yet.

Xinyu's Singers waited until Luo Mo sat in the main seat before they sat down one after another.

In the field of music, Luo Mo had long been the final word at Xinyu.

It's just that now, many people's reverence for him is no longer limited to the field of music.

Before he arrived, many people were talking about "Monkey King: Hero is Back".

It was too terrifying; a single animated feature film's box office actually almost broke one billion, directly raising the box office record for domestic animated films by six times, and perhaps even more!

If it weren't for the fact that it actually happened, they wouldn't believe it even if they were beaten to death.

At this moment, many people were sizing up Luo Mo, seeing that he had a smile on his face and was clearly in a good mood.

"It's understandable, anyone who achieves such a feat would be in a great mood, right?" many people thought to themselves.

These people didn't know that Luo Mo was purely in a good mood because of his short separation from his mentor, Jing, which felt like a newlywed couple reuniting.

Of course, that is also a kind of feat.

At the meeting, it was basically Luo Mo talking alone, while everyone else just nodded frequently.

It was just missing a "give me applause if you understand."

After finishing the general direction, Luo Mo began to call names; he would have detailed arrangements for the Singers he called next.

Like Tao Jie and Aurora Girls, they were naturally all called by Luo Mo.

Chen Shanqi was sitting there, her body slightly tense; she appeared calm on the surface, but inside she was incomparably excited and thrilled.

Although Luo Mo didn't say it explicitly, many people could hear the meaning in Luo Mo's words.

—I am going to personally create a new Diva.

This year, he would write 5 new songs for Chen Shanqi's new album to help her charge toward the Diva throne.

Charging toward the Diva throne, I'm familiar with this.

As for Aurora Girls, he would also write at least 3 new songs.

For some Singers he valued, Luo Mo would also provide songs.

After the meeting, Aurora Girls and Tao Jie gathered around.

Luo Mo really had a headache about having to act as a judge in private to evaluate who among them had the best self-control during the New Year.

Is this kind of thing something you can tell just by taking a few casual glances?

"Everyone is great, everyone is great," Luo Mo wouldn't get involved in this mess.

He changed the subject and began to ask what everyone had been busy with recently.

Shen Yinuo had been taking acting classes to strengthen her acting skills; Luo Mo was not surprised by this, because after finishing "Sword of the Immortal", she tasted the benefits, and her popularity had soared.

What surprised Luo Mo more was that Jiang Ningxi had actually taken half a year of acting classes.

Honestly, he didn't think much of it.

Because this Leg Fairy had a cold temperament and was a bit pretentious, she probably wasn't very suitable for acting.

Little did he know, she had actually been... acting in front of him the whole time!

……..

……..

The busyness of the new year had thus begun.

The daily box office of the Spring Festival movie season began to decline significantly.

After the Lantern Festival, it declined even more severely.

And as of the 16th day of the first lunar month, the total box office of "Monkey King: Hero is Back" had reached 1.18 billion, surpassing Tian Ou's debut work "Car King".

In other words, Luo Mo has set a brand-new box office record for a newcomer director!

It's just that, in the past, these were all live-action films, and this time it's an Animation film; the difference is truly too great.

This has many directors in the film circle privately discussing: "Does this count?"

It just feels like two different categories.

The work everyone does is different; we stay on set, but someone like Luo Mo doesn't.

However, setting that aside, this film of Luo Mo's, Monkey King: Hero is Back, has truly earned a lot of money!

If nothing goes wrong, the Review Department will also extend the 【key】 for Monkey King: Hero is Back.

Extending the 【key】 means that this film will be shown in theaters for 2 months, rather than being automatically pulled after about 30 days.

This is all money!

The application for a 【key】 extension for Across the Future seems to have been shot down by the Review Department.

Monkey King: Hero is Back was praised by five special media outlets and even appeared on the News Broadcast, so an extension is an inevitable matter.

——It really makes people envious!

At the same time, given the relationship between Penguin Video and Luo Mo, they will certainly purchase the online rights to Monkey King: Hero is Back at a high price, which is another huge sum of money.

This madman who dared to invest 150 million just in production costs didn't let everyone see any jokes.

He has once again earned a fortune!

The heaven-defying box office of Monkey King: Hero is Back has made everyone involuntarily focus their attention on the post-credits scene, Nezha: Birth of the Demon Child.

"With Luo Mo's style of doing things, I'm Afraid he will increase his investment for the next one!"

"If he can continue to write his brilliance..."

"Could it be that the country will produce a director who has broken 2 billion in box office solely through directing Animation films?"

How many directors in the whole country have a total box office of over 2 billion!

Also, no one thinks Luo Mo will only keep his eyes on the Animation field.

Don't forget, he is also an extremely successful TV series director and an Actor widely recognized by the audience.

Then, is it... still far from him directing and starring in a film?

………

………

After returning to work, the filming of Reset is proceeding in an orderly manner.

As time passes, this web drama, which also carries the 【short】 label, has reached the final stage of filming.

"After filming for about another week, the whole crew should be able to wrap up, right?" Luo Mo thought to himself.

The content to be filmed next is actually the grand finale he has heavily adapted.

After this period of filming, Guan Fei has developed a very strong interest in this kind of drama with a single scene.

He feels that this feeling of constantly playing with tricks in the same scene is particularly satisfying to direct.

When he expressed this to Luo Mo, Luo Mo smiled and said: "How about this then, Worker Fei, once you help me finish all four dramas for this year's 【Mist Theater】, I'll take you back into the film industry!"

"Directing a film?" Guan Fei was stunned: "I'm already being called Box Office Poison now."

"I know you're poisonous, so I plan to give you a script to shoot a small-budget film with a similarly single setting," Luo Mo joked.

"Get lost! If it's not a big production, Laozi won't shoot it!" Guan Fei was angered.

"Really not shooting?" Luo Mo said: "Look, this is what you said!"

"You're being serious?" Guan Fei was stunned; he thought Luo Mo was joking.

Although he shouted that he wouldn't shoot anything that wasn't a big production, once he thought about it being a script written by Luo Mo, no matter how small the budget was, he still... felt his heart move against his will!

He was just afraid that Luo Mo was saying it for fun and teasing him.

"Of course it's real," Luo Mo answered very seriously.

"What's the subject matter?" Guan Fei asked.

Luo Mo looked at his rustic appearance and asked: "By the way... have you ever played Script Kill?"
