Chapter 496: I Want This Newcomer King

Wang Rong: I've been arranged?

At this moment, Director Wang did not know that Luo Mo had already begun to calculate in his heart.

When filming "Sword Fairy 1", Luo Mo was still a green newcomer to television series, so he brought in the experienced hand Guan Fei to serve as his Producer.

Now, he has become a green newcomer to film again. Yes, just green.

In that case, a partner like Wang Rong, who is both a Best Actor and has extensive directing experience, is absolutely rare and hard to come by.

What's more, a thing like film requires Box Office Appeal.

Many actors and actresses who can carry the banner in the television series field may have produced many hit shows, but after entering the film industry, they still cannot support the box office.

As a male actor whose total personal box office ranks in the top ten domestically, Wang Rong's Box Office Appeal is definitely strong.

Very perfect, isn't it?

Xu Chujing lay on the bed, letting Luo Mo rub body lotion onto her smooth back, and said, "People like Wang Rong are never short of scripts. Under normal circumstances, it is others who hold scripts and beg him to star."

"So, the difficulty is not small, oh." She smiled and said.

"My script will definitely be no problem." Luo Mo believed that with Wang Rong's eye, he could distinguish the quality of a script.

At this time, the body lotion on her back had almost been rubbed in until completely absorbed.

Luo Mo took a look at the fruits of his labor, only feeling that this beautiful back, because of the body lotion, had an effect under the lights as if it had been rubbed with essential oil.

His gaze continued downward, seeing the dimples of Venus, and also seeing the smooth hip curve at the back of the waist.

"Let me rub some on your legs too," Luo Mo said.

While saying this, his large hand stopped in the area between the legs and the waist, prying apart the buttock cheeks.

Xu Chujing let out a cry of surprise, and just as she was about to turn her head to glare at him, it was already too late.

She lost her strength in an instant.

………

………

This was a laborious night.

After daybreak, Luo Mo and Xu Chujing had their own respective schedules.

The Heavenly Queen had to go and terminate a contract with an international first-tier luxury brand.

Because this brand had made a mistake of principle, with Xu Chujing's personality, terminating the contract with them was inevitable.

As for Luo Mo, he was going to the studio to deploy the preliminary promotion work for "Reset", and then write the film script.

On the way to the studio, he took a look at the real-time box office of "Monkey King: Hero is Back".

By now, "Monkey King: Hero is Back" had already been showing for a full forty-five days.

Because the Review Department had approved the application for the extension of the Key, it could have one more month of screening time than ordinary films.

As of now, the total box office had already reached 1.328 billion.

This month, new films were being released one after another, and these Spring Festival films, even if the Key was extended, would have their screen allocations squeezed.

Moreover, the film had been showing for so long that the daily box office was only a few million or so; when it reached the weekend, it would be slightly better.

"The total box office is estimated to wrap up at around 1.4 billion." Luo Mo estimated in his heart.

The production cost of "Monkey King: Hero is Back" was 150 million.

There were subsequent expenses for promotion and marketing, word-of-mouth maintenance, and a bunch of messy costs.

Although Luo Mo did not invest tens of millions in this aspect like other big Spring Festival productions, adding it all together, it was still a little over ten million.

According to the box office split standard of Blue Star, the split box office that the film side can get does not reach 40%.

But even so, it was still an astonishing amount.

——"Earned a Fortune"!

Luo Mo had recently heard that in the domestic animation industry, several large projects had been established recently.

There was more than one with a production cost exceeding 100 million.

"Monkey King: Hero is Back" was too explosive, making the entire market heat up along with it.

Some animation films that were about to be released had very low popularity.

But after "Monkey King: Hero is Back" became a phenomenal hit, the Want to Watch index of these films soared.

This made those capitalists who only thought about making money smell the scent.

For many people, the most important thing was to become the first large-scale animation production to be released after "Monkey King: Hero is Back"!

Simply put, it was to bask in Luo Mo's glory and borrow his east wind.

The thinking of these capitalists was very simple: now the market is hot, everyone's interest in domestic animation is at an unprecedented high, so as long as the preliminary promotion and marketing are appropriate, it would be hard for the first three days of box office not to explode!

Even if the film's word-of-mouth was not good in the end, they could mostly still make a small profit.

If the market feedback was okay, who knows, they might even make a Big Profit!

Therefore, Luo Mo was very clear about one point: "What opening the door to domestic animation, opening the door to Huaxia Science Fiction films... these are all useless; just opening the door is useless."

"Because you have no idea whether the latecomers will close this door that was opened with such difficulty again."

"Some people will cherish this hard-won prospect, while others will not."

For him, just doing the films he should do in a down-to-earth manner was enough.

After the nanny van drove to the studio location, Luo Mo gathered some of the staff and held a twenty-minute short meeting.

After deploying the preliminary work for "Reset", he began to write the script for his first live-action film.

And the news that "Reset" was about to be broadcast spread, immediately triggering heated discussions on the internet.

"Ahhh! Is it finally going to be broadcast?"

"Looking forward to it, looking forward to the renewed cooperation between Yu and Luo Mo!"

"Master and apprentice, go for it!"

"Regardless of anything else, these two are truly a feast for the eyes."

"Ah, Yu has really grown up; I suddenly felt that way when I saw the trailer."

"I feel like Yu has become even prettier."

"Looking forward to Yu after she comes of age! Looking forward to Luo Mo!"

The benefits of an Actor having high popularity were reflected at this moment.

Pineapple TV's "Crime Hunter" had already been fully promoting for a whole week.

As a result, its popularity across the entire internet was instantly overtaken by "Reset".

This left Wang Shisong and Wang Shibai speechless.

The reason was simple: "Crime Hunter" was set to premiere tomorrow night.

"The spotlight was suppressed all at once!"

But fortunately, domestic audiences currently have a quite large Demand for the Suspense genre, and many people quite love watching Suspense web dramas.

Most interestingly, in this type of web drama, the proportion of female viewers is unimaginably high.

Girls are truly magical creatures; it's similar to how boys play games—"bad at it but still addicted"—many girls are terrified, yet they insist on watching these Suspense dramas.

Perhaps what we are watching is just a heartbeat.

On the other side, many celebrities saw that the promotion for "Reset" had already begun, so they spontaneously promoted "Reset".

Wang Rong also reposted it on Weibo.

Under normal circumstances, Luo Mo would not take the initiative to ask friends in the industry to help with promotion; they usually acted spontaneously.

However, Luo Mo would have his studio staff keep an eye on who had helped, and he would go to thank them all.

After learning that Wang Rong, whom he was not very familiar with, had also helped promote "Reset", he sent a few WeChat messages to Wang Rong, and the two chatted for a bit.

Luo Mo casually mentioned: "Brother Rong, next time after recording Director Show, take a look at a movie script."

Looking at the WeChat message sent by Luo Mo, Wang Rong misunderstood the meaning.

He thought Luo Mo wanted him to check it over and offer some opinions.

This situation is quite common in the industry, just as many web novel authors will send their ideas and opening chapters to author friends to look at when writing a new book.

As mentioned before, Wang Rong is not just a director; for every movie he films, he is also one of the screenwriters.

It's just that his movies usually have two to three screenwriters, and he has never independently completed an entire script himself.

Wang Rong has a very good impression of Luo Mo; he feels that Luo Mo is very talented, so he agreed immediately and said: "Sure."

After saying that, he also said to Luo Mo: "Then when the time comes, I'll let you look at a script too."

Wang Rong has also been preparing a new film during this period, and he intends to let Luo Mo take a look at the script for his new film.

At the same time, he has also been thinking about one thing these past few days.

—He wants to invite Luo Mo to act in it!

In Wang Rong's view, Luo Mo has acting skills, has looks, and has popularity; having him participate would be like adding wings to a tiger!

He has great confidence in the script for his new film, and he feels that with Luo Mo's eye, he will definitely be able to see that this film has great potential.

"Heh heh, I think he probably won't be able to refuse," Wang Rong thought to himself.
