Chapter 1404: Zhang Lu heads north! [2]

Under the night, Duan Liuqing stood outside the courtyard wall, looking at Liu Bai Tu not far away with excitement.

This was the first time Duan Liuqing had seen a familiar person since jumping into the river at Caoyang Pavilion more than half a year ago, and it was Liu Bai Tu.

"Master..."

Duan Liuqing's voice was a bit choked.

Liu Bai Tu, wrapped in a black robe, stood up from under the courtyard wall and looked at Liu Bai Tu, nodding with a gratified smile.

The youth who came out of Wucun Township back then had now grown into a steady youth.

"It's good that you're okay, it's good that you're okay."

Liu Bai Tu looked at Duan Liuqing and said, "After receiving your news, the King immediately had me come over."

A warmth immediately rose in Duan Liuqing's heart, and Duan Yu's tall figure also appeared in her mind.

"Is the Master... okay?" Duan Liuqing asked in a voice like a mosquito.

"Good. Since you went missing, the King has been looking for you. The King has always believed that you are still alive, so he has never given up on you."

Duan Liuqing lowered her head slightly, her hands tightly gripping the sleeves of her cuffs, her teeth lightly biting her lips.

"After you encountered Yuan Shu's pursuing troops at Caoyang Pavilion, Stone and Hunu received your call for help, but they arrived a little late... later... later Brother Hunu died... and many things happened..."

Liu Bai Tu mentioned some things that happened last year.

"Master... originally I could have gone back, but now I am lurking by Zhang Lu's mother's side and can often see the Governor of Yizhou, Liu Yan. I think the Master will conquer Yizhou sooner or later, so I acted on my own and stayed here." Duan Liuqing told Liu Bai Tu why she did not return to Chang'an.

Liu Bai Tu nodded with gratification: "Your guess is correct. The King is indeed preparing to conquer Yizhou and has already prepared to take action against Hanzhong Commandery."

"This is also the task after confirming your safety this time."

Hearing that there was a task, Duan Liuqing immediately became energetic.

"The King is now preparing to take action against Hanzhong Commandery and has already begun to use strategy. The Governor of Yizhou, Liu Yan, should have already received the news..."

As Liu Bai Tu said this, Duan Liuqing suddenly seemed to remember something.

During the day today, when Liu Yan was meeting Zhang Lu's mother privately, after receiving a letter, he left in a hurry with an anxious expression. ===== CHAPTER 1406 =====
