Chapter 34: Comprehending Metal Intent, Strength Skyrockets

Two days later.

"Thirty types of Metal Ability, all purchased!"

Ye Tian looked at the pile of Inheritance Orb before him, almost all of which were C-Grade and B-Grade Strange Art. He prepared to cultivate all these Strange Art to the Consummation Realm, and from among the many Metal Ability, comprehend the Metal Intent.

He also wanted to comprehend the Darkness Intent, but Darkness-type Strange Art were not easy to purchase and were relatively rare.

Therefore, he decided to focus on Metal Intent first.

He prepared to go to the Underground Cave only after he had comprehended the Metal Intent.

He felt that his current strength was still too weak; if he encountered an alien race that had comprehended Intent, he estimated that he wouldn't even be able to execute the Earth Escape Technique before being killed in seconds by the opponent.

Ye Tian immediately activated the Enlightenment Technique, absorbing the Darkness Talent Ability origin to make his comprehension skyrocket.

Next, he began to cultivate a Metal Ability.

Very quickly, this Metal Ability was cultivated to the Consummation Realm by him, and he continued to cultivate the second Metal Ability.

Time passed day by day. Ye Tian cultivated one Metal Ability after another to the Consummation Realm. Later on, cultivating Metal Ability became easier and easier.

In the process of repeated contemplation, he gradually gained insight into the true meaning of Metal Ability.

Ten days later, all the Metal Ability had been cultivated to the Consummation Realm.

At this time, Ye Tian used the Enlightenment Technique to enhance his comprehension, sensing the true meaning and mysteries of metal during his epiphany.

Time passed second by second.

Ye Tian just sat cross-legged there, silently sensing.

It is unknown how much time had passed, but a power of extreme sharpness permeated Ye Tian's body. Even though he was motionless, the surrounding air seemed to be torn apart, and a sound like glass shattering came through.

But soon, this power disappeared.

Ye Tian also opened his eyes.

"Metal Intent comprehended!"

Ye Tian extended a finger and lightly swiped; a glass cup several meters away was directly cut into two halves.

Afterwards.

He arrived at the training room of Donghai University. The walls here were built using special materials and were also equipped with an Array, making them extremely tough; unless one was an Ability Grandmaster, it was impossible to break them.

Ye Tian was here to test the power of his current Metal Ability.

He executed the Gold Needle Technique, aiming at an iron pillar, only he had integrated the newly comprehended Metal Intent into the Gold Needle Technique.

Pfft!

The Gold Needle Technique pierced through the iron pillar at an extremely fast speed, as if it were piercing through tofu.

"Sure enough, after comprehending Intent, the power of the corresponding Strange Art increases terrifyingly!"

Ye Tian muttered.

Comprehending Intent and not comprehending Intent are completely different worlds.

No wonder back then, when Blood Claw saw the Ability Grandmaster Tie Shi, he didn't dare to have the slightest thought of fighting and chose to flee directly; even after executing the Blood Escape Technique, he still didn't escape.

The gap in strength between an Ability Master and an Ability Grandmaster is so huge, which shows how terrifying the power of Intent is.

"With my current strength, I should be able to clear the twelfth floor of the Battle Tower!"

However, Ye Tian did not plan to go and clear it.

The freshman period had already passed, so even if he cleared the twelfth floor of the Battle Tower, there wouldn't be much point reward.

"Data Panel!"

Ye Tian summoned his data.

【Host: Ye Tian】

【Realm: Peak Esper】

【Innate Ability: Dark Element A-Grade (1/100), Mental Element B-grade (1/100), Water Element B-grade (93/100), Fire Element A-Grade (1/100), Wood Element B-grade (1/100), Metal Element A-Grade (1/100), Earth Element B-grade (1/100), Space Element E-Grade (1/100)】

【Strange Art: A-Grade Darkness Curtain (Consummation), A-Grade Fire Dragon Cover (Consummation), A-Grade Golden Body Technique (Consummation), B-grade Darkness Spear (Consummation)……】

【Mutated Strange Art: B-grade Dark Fire (Consummation), B-grade Severed Limb Regeneration Technique (Consummation)】

【Intent: Ninth Sequence Metal Intent (One-tenth Realm)】

He had cultivated too many Strange Art, so he directly hid many of them to avoid the Data Panel looking too messy.

But the newly appeared Intent data showed Ninth Sequence Metal Intent, which made him very confused.

"What does Ninth Sequence mean?"

He did not go to ask Li Haoyang; if the Ninth Sequence involved some secret knowledge, wouldn't it make people suspicious if he asked directly?

"Go ask Qin Susu; she is a junior student after all, perhaps she might know what Ninth Sequence Intent is."

Consequently.

Ye Tian immediately contacted Qin Susu.

The call connected, and Ye Tian asked: "Senior Sister Qin, do you know what Ninth Sequence Intent is?"

Qin Susu replied: "I don't know much about Ninth Sequence Intent. I only know that breaking through to Ability Grandmaster requires comprehending Intent, and the Intent that many Grandmasters comprehend is Ninth Sequence Intent. It is said that after comprehending Ninth Sequence Intent to the ten-tenths Consummation Realm, one can continue to sublimate the Intent and comprehend Eighth Sequence Intent. According to this numbering, perhaps there are Seventh Sequence Intent, Sixth Sequence Artistic Conception, etc., above it, but that is too far away from us!"

"So that's how it is!"

Ye Tian understood a little.

This Ninth Sequence Intent is equivalent to the first major realm among Intents, and there are higher realms later on.

Originally, Ye Tian was excited about comprehending Metal Intent, but now that he looked at it, his current Metal Intent was merely Ninth Sequence Intent, and it was only at the one-tenth realm, which was simply not worth mentioning.

Immediately, he calmed down.

Of course, compared to those trapped at the Peak Esper realm, he had already crossed this threshold.

"Senior Sister Qin, when are you going to the Underground Cave?"

Ye Tian asked again.

"It should be in these next few days. Are you planning to go in too?" Qin Susu knew that since Ye Tian had obtained the title of Newcomer King, he must have also received a quota for entry into the Underground Cave, and could therefore enter it.

"Yes, then let's go in together. I can also ask you about the situation in the Underground Cave while we're at it," Ye Tian said.

"Sure!"

Qin Susu agreed immediately.

Three days later.

Ye Tian and Qin Susu had arranged to enter the Underground Cave together.

The entrance to the Underground Cave was located beneath a mountain peak at the far east side of Donghai University.

After Ye Tian and Qin Susu arrived there, they took out their Token, and after some inspection, they were finally allowed to enter a passageway that extended downwards.

The walls of the passageway were blocked by an Array, so even if one were to use the Earth Escape Technique, it would be impossible to pass through them.

Very quickly, they arrived at a place over one hundred meters underground, where the space suddenly widened, and an ancient gate stood there.

"This gate is the Underground Cave passageway, which is also a solidified spatial passage. Pass through the gate and walk for three hundred meters, and you will officially enter the Underground Cave!" Qin Susu introduced.

Ye Tian nodded slightly and followed Qin Susu into the Underground Cave passageway.

For them, three hundred meters could be covered in a single breath.

After walking through the Underground Cave passageway, Ye Tian discovered that he had arrived in another world.

Here was a massive, ancient giant city, and above the sky hung three Suns.

Clearly, this was no longer Earth.

"Ye Tian, this is the fortress our Xia Country built in the Earth Cave World—East Sea Fortress. Let me take you to apply for a place to stay first."

Qin Susu brought Ye Tian to a grand hall in East Sea Fortress to apply for a residence.

Very quickly, the residence application was completed; it was a very ordinary house.

After all, this was the Earth Cave World, so naturally, there were no great conditions, but as long as it was habitable, that was enough.
