Chapter 108: Doctor Hammond

Nublar Island is much larger than Sun Cheng had imagined, and the terrain is unexpectedly diverse.

After leaving the tarmac deep in the Canyon, the motorcade drove slowly into the island, moved away from the mountain forests via a canyon path, and after passing through a jungle, the motorcade soon arrived at a grassland.

Two whispering voices came from the front, but Sun Cheng, who had been keeping his attention on the outside, noticed that the vehicle's speed was getting slower and slower.

The first to complain was a man named Bertram. He came from Sequoia Capital and was a senior project manager; he seemed to have been in the industry for over a decade and had rich venture capital experience, which made his personality somewhat arrogant.

David smiled, "Sir, I am not!"

There were other complaints, but David clearly had no intention of paying them any mind. Instead, he was the first to get off the vehicle with great pride, and after getting off, he did not continue to wait outside the vehicle door, walking directly toward the other side.

Ada Wong picked up her LV-brand ladies' commuter bag and followed closely behind, getting off the vehicle as well.

Once the only woman in the group left, the complaining voices of the people on the bus paused, and then they filed off the vehicle one after another.

It turned out that on a patch of grass behind the trucks, five barbecue grills had been set up. When David led their team over, the sound of footsteps and commotion soon caught the old man's attention. Turning around to look, he immediately smiled and walked over with his cane, "My friends, please forgive me for not being able to greet you personally when you have come from so far away..."

This old man was John Hammond, the boss of International Genetic Technologies, a businessman and scholar obsessed with archaeology and paleontology.

"Doctor Hammond..."

Upon seeing the host who had issued the invitation, Bertram from Sequoia Capital was the first to step forward and said quite bluntly: "Donald told me that Jurassic Park would make us a fortune... but we have already invested seventy million dollars in you. Bertram gave a light snort, but ultimately gave him some face and did not continue to make a scene.

"Doctor, it is still early. If possible, can we talk about a new financing plan?"

Just like her professional attire, Ada Wong appeared very capable. Relying on her status as a woman, she went straight to the point, her momentum aggressive.

Hammond raised his cane again and pointed in a direction beside the crowd.

Dozens of meters away, a giant monster that must have been forty or fifty meters tall and weighed over a hundred tons was walking very leisurely with 'heavy little steps', unhurriedly walking toward a dozen large trees not far away, raising its head to eat the most tender leaves on the branches.
