Chapter 14: A Muddy Mess

Starscream clearly did not care whether Sun Cheng was genuinely helping; seeing him agree, a rather meaningful smile appeared on his face, which made Sun Cheng feel completely uncomfortable, only then did he suddenly hear him say: "Come out!"

"Hmm?"

Sun Cheng was just wondering why he had suddenly shouted that, but the Spy Template within his body reacted far faster than his consciousness.

Almost the moment Starscream's words fell, in an instant, the Spy Template captured a set of special electromagnetic frequencies.

His two pairs of electronic eyes subconsciously looked toward the location of that suddenly appearing electromagnetic frequency, and only then did Sun Cheng notice that in a corner not far behind Starscream, a short Decepticon figure similar in stature to him had emerged.

"Are you summoning me? Master..."

Seeming to notice Sun Cheng sizing him up, the short Decepticon looked up and snarled at him, making no effort to hide his hostility.

Starscream acted as if he hadn't noticed this scene, and without looking back, he instructed him: "Reflector, take our little friend around the base, and remember to let him see everything!"

So this newly appeared short Decepticon was named 'Reflector'.

Sun Cheng was somewhat familiar with this name; as soon as a thought popped into his head, a piece of information surged out from his Memory Chip.

After reading it carefully, he suddenly realized, and when he looked again at Reflector, who was full of hostility toward him, he became a bit more cautious.

'Reflector', a member of the Decepticon Legion's scout squad—'Camera Squad'.

'Camera Squad' was also once one of the Decepticon Legion's intelligence squads, consisting of three members: 'Viewfinder', 'Reflector', and 'Spyglass'.

Don't let the fact that the three members of Camera Squad are only Level 2 low-level Decepticons fool you; it is said that all three were born from a great project by a certain mad Scientist of the Decepticon Legion in the past. The three possess a special method of combined transformation, which can increase their strength to that of an Advanced Warrior in a short time—that is a Level 4 High-level Decepticon, just like Barricade.

However, compared to the Cassette Corps led by Soundwave, the efficiency of Camera Squad in gathering intelligence was far inferior. In the past, it seemed they were even utilized by their reconnaissance targets several times, causing losses to their own side, and were eventually kicked out of the Decepticon Legion's intelligence ranks.

Perhaps because of this reason, Reflector, as a member of Camera Squad, was full of hostility toward him, coming from the Cassette Corps.

After figuring out the reason, Sun Cheng couldn't help but be more guarded against Reflector.

Although there was only a one-level difference in strength between him and Reflector, the difference in power between a Level 1 Decepticon and a Level 2 Decepticon was beyond imagination. Moreover, combat was not his specialty; if the other party really targeted him specifically, Sun Cheng would definitely have a hard time.

After hearing Starscream's instructions, Reflector's eyes lit up, and he hurriedly agreed: "Master, leave it to me. I guarantee I will take him around the base properly!"

After confirming that the two had walked far away, Barricade suddenly spoke, his voice cold yet full of sarcasm, "What is Soundwave thinking? When he resurrected 'Frenzy' a few days ago and sent him to help me, I felt it was very strange. Although I didn't have much contact with Frenzy when we were on Cybertron, we had been on missions together. He actually didn't recognize me!"

"His Memory Chip was sealed; just a little punishment!" Starscream rubbed his chin, sneering repeatedly: "The Cassette Corps expanded too quickly during the war. Laserbeak, Frenzy, and Rumble all had thoughts of replacing Soundwave. A bunch of idiots, thinking that a little military merit would earn them Megatron's appreciation. In the end, Soundwave used some methods to let Laserbeak and Frenzy die before the war ended. Without Frenzy, Rumble is nothing."

He laughed wickedly: "I'm starting to appreciate Soundwave a bit. I didn't expect him to resurrect Laserbeak and Frenzy again, turning the former into a pet and demoting the latter to Cannon Fodder! It's a pity his capacity is still a bit too small; if it were me, I would have kept their memories!"

Barricade's eyes flickered, "The Cassette Corps is no longer a concern now; do we still need to be so wary of Soundwave?"

"Wary of him?" Starscream sneered disdainfully, "Even if I left the Moon Base, so what if I let him investigate? Only three people know about that transaction. Megatron is not here, and that old guy is also in deep slumber; the only person who knows the truth now is me. "Is that why you had me bring Frenzy, to have him lure Soundwave to Earth?" Barricade asked.

Starscream's eyes flickered, "The probe I released into the Asteroid Belt was accidentally captured by one of your old rivals a few days ago. He also seems to have taken an interest in the Solar System and has already arrived on Earth."

"Old rival?" Barricade was stunned.

"Autobot, Bumblebee!"

"It's him!" Barricade's body shook with excitement, and the metal joints on his palms crackled as he clenched them, "Where is he now?"

"Viewfinder and Spyglass have already been sent by me to track him. I haven't received a reply yet; he is probably in another country or continent!"

Starscream saw his impatient desire to fight Bumblebee and coldly reminded him: "You are no match for him. Although you pierced his throat last time, you had half your body cut off by him. Currently, the only Advanced Warriors I have are you and Onslaught. Before I find the AllSpark and complete your upgrades, do not make any meaningless sacrifices. That would expose us and lead the damned Autobots here to Earth!"

Barricade clenched his fists unwillingly, saying nothing!

Seeing Starscream glare at him again, he then lowered his head unwillingly, "I understand!"

After suppressing Barricade's urge to go find Bumblebee, Starscream also turned his attention to other directions. Thinking of Sun Cheng, who was being taken around the base by Reflector, red light flickered in his eyes, "Should I add some more trouble for Soundwave? For example, helping 'Frenzy' recover his memories?"

At the thought of something interesting, a wicked smile couldn't help but appear on the corner of his mouth.
