Chapter 192: A One-Man War (7)
An unprecedented fear struck, and Mudflap's face was full of panic.
He shouted to Sun Cheng, begging for mercy: "Wait, you can't kill me..."
Narrowing his eyes slightly, Sun Cheng naturally caught Mudflap's small movement just now.
After all, although the emergency communication methods of the Decepticons and Autobots differ, the principle is the same: both use special radio waves to transmit information.
Therefore, although he did not know the content of the communication Mudflap had just sent, his small movement could not be hidden from Sun Cheng.
With a thought in his Core, after capturing the figures of the two Combat Robots already appearing not far away, Sun Cheng calmly issued an order for them to hide and remain on alert through his Core, then he shifted his body slightly, blocking Mudflap's line of sight just right.
The hot-tempered Ironhide had now been lured into his Electromagnetic Trap; all passages leading into the Base from the launch silo had long since been tampered with by him, with a large number of strong electromagnetic interference devices installed.
Fear of electromagnetic interference is a weakness for almost all Mechanical Life; electromagnetic interference not only affects their control over their bodies, but strong electromagnetism can even destroy their Cores.
Although some powerful Mechanical Life can resist it, most Mechanical Life have no power to resist electromagnetic interference.
Once Ironhide entered his Electromagnetic Trap, even if he could break free, it would take him quite a while.
Therefore, Sun Cheng looked at Mudflap with interest, while the Plasma Cannon in his hand remained pressed firmly against his forehead.
"Autobot, what makes a lowly vermin like you worth me sparing your life..."
Seemingly sensing the undisguised killing intent in Sun Cheng's eyes, Mudflap finally panicked.
"You can't kill me... Ironhide and the others have already surrounded this place; if you kill me, you will die here too..."
This guy's intelligence is problematic!
Sun Cheng was somewhat disappointed; seeing this guy's cowardly appearance, he had thought he could get some intelligence about the Autobots from him.
However, looking at his intelligence, he figured he wouldn't be able to obtain any more information he wanted.
He then sneered and lifted Mudflap up, raising him to his own eye level, and then sneered as he said: "It seems you have wasted a chance to save your life, lowly Autobot... I will give you one last chance, let's see how you convince me not to kill you!"
Just as his words fell, Sun Cheng's face suddenly twisted, and his left arm exerted force, ripping off his right arm and throwing it far away.
"Ah..."
Because his arm was forcibly ripped off, Mudflap roared in pain and began to struggle.
"Listen well, vermin..." Sun Cheng sneered, bringing his head close to his own, "My patience is very limited. I'll give you ten seconds to convince me, or let your Spark become my trophy!"
His cold-bloodedness in this move truly captured the essence of the Decepticons.
In an instant, Mudflap was completely terrified.
He looked at Sun Cheng, trembling, his face full of panic, "... Don't, don't kill me, I am willing to defect to the Decepticons."
"Oh?"
Sun Cheng narrowed his eyes and couldn't help but look at him.
Since the birth of the Decepticons and Autobots, in the long civil war that lasted for millions of years, there had been no shortage of people from both factions defecting to the enemy side; the vast majority of these traitors came from the Autobot faction, with only a few coming from the Decepticons.
It is not strange that this is the case; after all, the Decepticons had been suppressing the Autobots throughout the civil war.
Relying on Megatron's powerful strength and Shockwave's terrifying military command, the Decepticons eventually won the Cybertronian Civil War and even drove the last of the Autobot resistance forces off Cybertron.
However!
Mechanical Life is just like humans; whether it is the Autobots or the Decepticons, they have almost zero tolerance for traitors.
In the past, Shockwave had personally formed an assassination squad to assassinate traitors who defected from the Decepticons to the Autobot faction.
The Autobot side was no exception; Bumblebee, as an intelligence expert for the Autobots, had always shouldered the Task of assassinating Autobot traitors.
Therefore, for millions of years, very few defectors from either faction have been able to survive; Decepticons like Barricade are only a very small minority.
His gaze lingered on Mudflap's face for a while, and Sun Cheng caught his flickering eyes; how could he not know that this guy was just stalling for time to wait for rescue.
"Defect to the Decepticons?"
A sneer appeared at the corner of his mouth, and he soon ordered in an even colder and crueler voice: "Alright, vermin, I accept your allegiance. Now, immediately deactivate all your defenses and open everything up to me!"
"No... I really want to defect to the Decepticons... please believe me..."
Seeing Mudflap's face become even more panicked, and even his body beginning to struggle again out of fear.
Sun Cheng's face looked even more ferocious, "What, still waiting for Ironhide to save you? I might as well tell you, Ironhide has now fallen into my Electromagnetic Trap; he won't die, but he'll lose a layer of skin! Now no one can save you!"
After speaking, he coldly raised the Plasma Cannon in his hand, pressing it firmly against Mudflap's head.
"Ten seconds of thinking time left, either open everything to me, or death..."
"Please... please believe me..."
"10..."
"I am really..."
"9..."
"My lord, I..."
"8..."
The cold counting sound carried not a single trace of emotional fluctuation.
Finally, when Sun Cheng counted to 3, Mudflap's face twisted, and he slammed his head toward his face, while his remaining left arm also grabbed hard at his Plasma Cannon.
"Hmph!"
With a cold snort, Sun Cheng, who had been guarding against him all along, easily blocked his head with his left hand.
"Did you think I ever believed a word you said? Vermin..."
His face twisted, and his left arm, which was gripping Mudflap's head, exerted sudden force; Sun Cheng immediately ripped his head off his body.
Sensing that his left hand, which was struggling for the Plasma Cannon with his right arm, had suddenly gone stiff, Sun Cheng's heart stirred; the body of Mudflap, which he had still been holding in his hand, had already been collected into the Spherical Space.
Autobot Warrior—Mudflap KIA!
Lightly gripping the somewhat deformed head of Mudflap in his left hand, Sun Cheng brought it in front of him, admiring the distortion on its face, the arc of his mouth curving further.
"A nice trophy, it was worth wasting two Energy Bombs!"
Just as he was about to collect it into the Spherical Space as well, suddenly, a roar of an engine came from the depths of the passage nearby.
Sun Cheng subconsciously turned his head and looked toward the depths of the corridor.
Before his eyes could see anything, the Core, through several surveillance cameras set up in the corridor, captured the figure of a silver-gray sports car speeding toward him.
His brows furrowed slightly, and after Sun Cheng compared the incoming figure with the data in his memory, his expression changed abruptly.
"Sideswipe?! Damn it!"
Hurriedly stowing Mudflap's head into the Spherical Space, Sun Cheng turned and ran without a word, while the Core simultaneously issued an order to the two Combat Robots that had been lurking not far away.
"By any means necessary, eliminate the intruder!"
After issuing the order, he fled without looking back toward a hidden passage located at the other end of the Base.
PS:
In the movie version, Michael Bay set Mudflap and Skids up as two idiots. If I remember correctly, in the animated version, Mudflap seemed to have an intention to defect to the Decepticons, and Skids was also designed in a way that didn't quite fit; I don't remember the specifics clearly, so I'll go back and catch up on the plot later.
