Chapter 563: Ambition is Growing

~7 min read 1,362 words

Upon learning that the Doctor's remains had been successfully delivered to Base No. 2 by the lurker, the heart that Sun Cheng had been holding in his throat the entire way finally settled back down.

"Profit!"

He knew this no-cost business deal was guaranteed to be profitable, and very likely, it would be a massive windfall.

The technical team under Sun Cheng was initially supported entirely by the twenty or so Workers who had come over from Attack, which was why he granted them higher status and authority.

Later, although they actively digested the various technologies related to Cybertron from the Memory Chips, acquired knowledge from the Decepticon and Autobot remains obtained from the Hunter Civilization's ships, and even absorbed various technologies from Earth on a large scale.

But the shortcomings were still very obvious; although Base No. 2 could not be considered starting from scratch, the technical content it mastered was far above that of the various nations on Earth.

But if one were to compare Sun Cheng's forces with the Autobots or the Decepticon Legion, there was simply no comparison; they were completely not on the same level.

However, he was not without advantages; Sun Cheng's greatest advantage was that while the Autobots and the Decepticon Legion were still locked in a death struggle on Earth, he had already quietly carved out a vast territory in South America.

Do not underestimate this advantage; although it was by trial and error that the current situation was opened up.

But as he understood more and more, Sun Cheng also gradually discovered that his initial decision to abandon Base No. 1 within the United States and place Base No. 2 directly in South America to develop was truly a brilliant move made by accident.

Before anyone had noticed, he and his Base No. 2 had already completed a savage growth on Earth.

When the Autobots and the Decepticon Legion still needed to transport resources and Energy Cubes from other planets over tens of thousands of miles to Earth for their own consumption, the resources produced by Sun Cheng's Base No. 2 were already piling up in the Warehouse because the technical ceiling had not yet been broken through.

This single advantage alone increased his odds of winning against the Autobots and the Decepticon Legion by ten percent.

Well, the original odds were zero.

It takes time for the Engineers to digest the technology in the Doctor's Memory Chip, and it also takes time to convert it into technology.

Therefore, knowing that the Doctor's remains had "arrived home safely," Sun Cheng turned his attention back to Africa.

He had already set the stage, and now he was just waiting for the actors to arrive so the show could begin.

Prowl's arrival was captured by a Russian satellite; after all, in the destitute and incomparably chaotic territory of Soli, a clean, cool, American-style black-and-white police car was simply too easy to identify.

Sun Cheng did not meet with Prowl; after discovering that he had already appeared within Soli, he quietly left the "Warehouse" and headed toward another temporary stronghold prepared by the Pioneers within Africa.

And so, when Prowl arrived at the coordinates cautiously and carefully, what he saw was an empty underground structure with no one guarding it.

Moreover, in one corner of the underground structure, it was piled high with various supplies.

One day later, when Optimus Prime arrived here with several Autobots, everyone looked at the supplies in the Warehouse and stopped talking.

"So, Frenzy and the others are likely coming to us with goodwill to form an alliance?"

Arcee asked.

Ironhide checked the Warehouse for a long time in silence before reluctantly admitting: "No problems found!"

He was only allowed to come along by Optimus Prime after Prowl reported that he had not seen the other party at the Warehouse that Frenzy had prepared for them in Soli.

There was no help for it; he had sustained some injuries in a battle with the Decepticons not long ago.

Because of the supply situation, his chassis had not yet been fully repaired.

So, Optimus Prime bringing him along was, frankly, to come here and get supplies to repair his injuries.

The Autobot who had arrived on Earth not long ago—Jazz, was wandering around the Warehouse with great interest.

He did not even change back into his combat form; after whistling and driving several laps around the Warehouse, he came to Optimus Prime and the others and changed back into his combat form.

"This place is not bad, I like it!"

Jazz laughed happily, "Compared to that Warehouse where we are locked up on the island, the space here is larger!"

This was a guy with a very high IQ; although many Autobots knew he was unreliable, he could always keenly perceive the root of a problem.

Although Jazz had only arrived on Earth a short time ago, he had clearly already sensed the friction between the Autobots and the United States government.

Every Autobot who came to Earth was required to report to the United States government.

At the same time, they also demanded that, except for necessary combat, the Autobots were not allowed to leave the Yinchao Zongbu located on Diego Garcia island without permission.

Although, the Autobots basically ignored the latter rule.

Jazz's words made all the Autobots in the entire Warehouse fall silent.

Optimus Prime did not speak either; he was waiting for Ratchet and Elita One to take inventory of the supplies.

He did not have to wait long before he saw Ratchet walking over with a smile on his face.

Seeing Optimus Prime looking at him, he nodded before saying: "Frenzy should have come with sincerity; the supplies here are enough for us to fight three or four more small-scale battles with the Decepticons..."

Elita One also walked over, her voice gentle and full of doubt, "It is hard to imagine how they obtained these resources? If they were forcing humans into slavery, why haven't we received any news about it until now?"

Optimus Prime looked at Prowl, and he replied: "According to the intelligence I have collected during this period, this branch of Decepticons to which Frenzy belongs has unclear relationships with many human nations. They seem to be using our Cybertronian technology to exchange for various resources with humans!"

"They are disrupting the balance of Earth!"

Ironhide interrupted him bluntly.

Prowl looked at him and did not respond.

"Continue!" Optimus Prime knew that Ironhide had suffered a few losses at Frenzy's hands, so he did not blame him for his resentment.

"Yes!"

Prowl organized his thoughts and continued: "Besides that, Frenzy and the others should have already established their own private territory on Earth; I suspect it should be in the South American region."

As the intelligence expert for the Autobots, unlike Bumblebee who was assigned to protect Sam, Prowl had shouldered the Autobots' intelligence gathering work ever since he arrived on Earth.

Over the past period of time, he had indeed done a very good job; tracking the Decepticons, his footprints had almost traveled across the five continents.

It was one thing in other regions, but in the Far East, Russia, and the South American region, Prowl clearly felt the aura of the Decepticons.

However, unlike the Decepticon Legion that was always locked in a life-and-death struggle with them, those Decepticons he discovered did not show much hostility toward him, but they had never allowed him to get close either.

The group of Autobots all had their expressions change upon hearing this.

Frenzy and the others had already established their own private territory on Earth; no wonder they could suddenly produce so many resources to form an alliance with the Autobots.

Thinking of them, and then looking at how his fellow Autobots had been excluded and suppressed by the United States government everywhere for the past year or more.

For a moment, the hearts of many Autobots began to change.

Even Ironhide, who held considerable hostility toward Frenzy, could not help but have a thought pop up in his mind at this moment.

"Perhaps, we should also consider finding a private territory on Earth!"
