Chapter 582: Engaging Devastator (Seeking Subscriptions)

"Decepticons detected?"

When Arcee's warning arrived from several kilometers away, the convoy led by Optimus Prime reacted swiftly.

"All Autobots, prepare for combat! Bumblebee, you are responsible for protecting Sam and Mikaela!"

The convoy continued to advance along the desert highway; although it appeared unchanged, the entire convoy was prepared, ready to shift into combat mode the moment an enemy was spotted.

They were not made to wait long; just minutes after Arcee returned to the team, Optimus Prime was the first to sense that something was wrong.

"Prepare for combat!"

In the distance, a convoy composed entirely of various construction vehicles could be seen driving from the other side of the desert highway.

"Constructicons!"

Upon seeing this widely dispersed convoy, Optimus Prime and many other Autobots immediately recognized the identities of the Decepticons coming to intercept them.

The six Decepticons—Scrapper, Hook, Mixmaster, Bonecrusher, Scavenger, and Long Haul—were the most famous specialized team under the Decepticon Legion: the Constructicons.

After discovering the identities of the incoming Decepticons, Optimus Prime also felt the situation would be difficult to handle.

The Constructicon team had once undergone the Decepticon Legion's combination technology modification; once the six members of the team closed to within a certain range, they would be drawn together by a certain mechanism to transform into the giant combined Decepticon—Devastator.

Then, Scrapper rolled on the sand, having completed his transformation, and roared in a hoarse voice: "Constructicons, attack!"

Hook, Mixmaster, Bonecrusher, Scavenger, and Long Haul quickly completed their transformations one by one, drew their weapons, and ran toward Optimus Prime and the others, waving their weapons and continuously firing grenades in retaliation.

"Drift!"

Optimus Prime suddenly let out a loud shout, and the sea-blue Bugatti Veyron supercar behind him understood, suddenly turning from the desert highway toward a small sand dune; relying on its super speed, he rushed into mid-air and quickly transformed into an armed helicopter that looked exactly like a United States AH-1 Cobra.

From over a hundred meters in the air, rockets were continuously fired from the two rocket launchers of that armed helicopter, bombarding the six Constructicon warriors on the ground.

Triple Changer—Drift, an Elite Warrior among the Autobots who had rarely undergone special modifications, whose body could possess multiple transformation forms simultaneously.

His strength was not a whit inferior to some Autobot and Decepticon Commanders; even a weapons master like Ironhide would find it difficult to suppress this powerful Triple Changer in terms of firepower, which was the reason Optimus Prime kept him by his side.

Seemingly endless rockets continued to fire from the armed helicopter that Drift had transformed into, and soon, Constructicon members began to be hit and injured one after another.

"Prepare to combine!"
