Chapter 583: The Nameless Temple of Chapter 581

The Mediterranean Sea, in a certain stretch of waters near the Sinai Peninsula.

Deep on the seabed, Sun Cheng looked at the three nuclear submarines lurking silently in the water and nodded with satisfaction.

"Stay hidden. The situation in Africa is very chaotic right now; we may need fire support from the nuclear submarines at any moment!"

Yesterday, the vanguard sent by either Soundwave or Starscream had already discovered the location of the Autobots' new base in Soli.

A fierce battle had already begun, but Sun Cheng was not paying attention to the aftermath.

He did not even know yet that Optimus Prime and Devastator had encountered each other within Egypt.

Because at this moment, Sun Cheng had focused all his attention on Jordan, a country located in Western Asia.

After briefly inspecting the three nuclear submarines that had entered the Mediterranean and were lurking in the waters near Egypt.

Afterward, Sun Cheng took Pathfinder and set off into Jordan.

"Master, are you certain the 【Matrix of Leadership】 is hidden within Jordan?"

"I cannot be certain yet!"

Sun Cheng could not be sure either; after spending several days of effort, he had finally finished processing most of the information from the AllSpark Fragment he had obtained from Sam.

He had to admit that the American boy Sam was truly a lucky person.

Back then, after the Battle of Las Vegas, Sun Cheng had taken away almost all the remaining fragments.

Because he hadn't checked them carefully at the time, he had missed only two fragments.

As it turned out, the fragment obtained by the U. S. military was one thing, but the fragment Sam obtained happened to contain a great deal of classified information.

This fragment not only contained a portion of information regarding the thirteen Primes of the planet Cybertron, but also details about how Megatronus used his own weapon to destroy stars to create the 【AllSpark】, stole the 【Matrix of Leadership】 and fled to Earth, and also fought a great battle on Earth against the other six Primes who had tracked him—which of these was not an explosive, major secret?

This intelligence was also very useful to Sun Cheng, even though he had previously confirmed that The Fallen was Megatronus, one of the thirteen Primes.

But combining the information from the fragment with the fact that he had once again taken the dying Jetfire out of the Spherical Space to re-examine his memories.

By drawing analogies from all these, Sun Cheng was finally no longer completely ignorant about The Fallen.

At the same time, by constantly comparing the information in the fragment with Jetfire's memories, he also had some rough guesses about the whereabouts of the 【Matrix of Leadership】.

"It might be within Jordan!"

Years ago, the six Primes tracked Megatronus—who was not yet called The Fallen at the time—to Earth, when they discovered that Megatronus was enslaving the ancient humans on Earth.

At the same time, he also intended to use the 【Matrix of Leadership】 to charge his weapon, destroy the Sun, and create a more powerful 【AllSpark】.

The enraged six Primes fought Megatronus within Egypt; this battle reportedly lasted for a very long time, almost destroying the North Africa of the ancient era beyond recognition.

The six Primes who tracked Megatronus to Earth, although not skilled in combat, ultimately relied on their numerical advantage to severely wound Megatronus and seize the 【Matrix of Leadership】 from his hands.

Because the information in the fragment was incomplete, Sun Cheng was not sure of the specific details of that battle.

However, as an Ancient Pathfinder, after Jetfire arrived on Earth tens of thousands of years ago, he discovered quite a few pieces of Elder Script scattered across various parts of Earth at that time.

Among these Elder Scripts, only a few were left by the six Primes to warn later generations to be wary of Megatronus.

A portion were information left for later generations by the followers who had followed the six Primes to Earth.

As a learned individual, Jetfire had stayed on Earth for a sufficiently long time; he deciphered a great deal of information, including the Seven Primes War that had occurred on Earth in the ancient era.

Over the course of tens of thousands of years, Jetfire had constantly searched on Earth and even been to many places, but unfortunately, he had never found the location of the 【Matrix of Leadership】.

After Sun Cheng combined the information from the AllSpark and Jetfire's memories, and after repeatedly consulting maps of Earth and astronomy-related books, he finally cast his gaze toward Jordan, Egypt's neighbor.

He suspected that the 【Matrix of Leadership】 had been hidden by the severely wounded six Primes in this neighbor of Egypt.

Not having stayed on the seabed for long, Sun Cheng and Pathfinder left the seabed.

They activated their optical stealth mode and crossed the Sinai Peninsula to enter Jordan.

Along the Petra Mountains, Sun Cheng and his companion began to search carefully.

"Split up and act; be careful to check thoroughly, and do not miss any possible ancient buildings or caves or similar places!"

After separating from Pathfinder, Sun Cheng searched carefully from west to east along the coastline near the Aqaba Gulf, in the southern region of the Petra Mountains.

Pathfinder went to the northern part of the Petra Mountains, searching in the same west-to-east direction.

Flying at an altitude of several thousand meters, Sun Cheng continuously released one electromagnetic wave after another, sensing possible energy and electromagnetic reactions in the valleys and mountain streams.

As a result, after flying for several full hours, he had not found a single suspicious place.

However, on Pathfinder's side, after night fell, he suddenly sent him a communication.

"Master, I have found a suspicious building; here are the coordinates!"

After receiving the communication, Sun Cheng's somewhat listless spirit could not help but be invigorated.

He originally hadn't held much hope; after all, Jetfire and The Fallen and the others had searched on Earth for so many years without finding the 【Matrix of Leadership】, which showed that the six Primes must have left behind some means to hide it.

Unexpectedly, Pathfinder had found a hidden temple built against the mountain in the mountains of Jordan.

Thinking that the 【Matrix of Leadership】 was very likely hidden there, how could Sun Cheng still restrain himself?

He immediately flew rapidly toward the coordinates sent by Pathfinder, and ten-odd minutes later, he landed in an unremarkable valley.

"Master, it is right here!"

Pathfinder pointed to the dark side of the valley not far away; both of them were Mechanical Life, so the darkness of night did not affect their vision.

Sun Cheng followed his finger and saw at a glance an ancient building in the style of ancient Egypt built against the mountain wall.

It appeared to be a temple, but unexpectedly, the area around the temple was not like the numerous temples of ancient Egypt, which had statues of the gods worshipped by the ancient Egyptians or their rulers—the Pharaohs—carved on the outside.

This was actually a Nameless Temple!

"For a Nameless Temple to appear here is indeed very suspicious!"

The ancient Egyptian civilization on Earth was clearly influenced by the Cybertronian civilization of the past.

Because many of the ancient Egyptian temples and shrines in this world, in Jetfire's memory, had construction styles that clearly came from the preferences of those decadent Cybertronian Nobles during the Council of Ancients period.

Sun Cheng had some understanding of history on Earth, and he did not recall that the ancient Egyptian civilization had ever expanded into Jordan.

Even the Sinai Peninsula was only gradually incorporated and assimilated by Egypt during the colonial periods of the Roman Empire and the Arab Empire.

From this, one can see just how suspicious it is that an ancient Egyptian-style temple suddenly appears in Jordan, thousands of kilometers away from the traditional regions of ancient Egypt.
