Chapter 606: Leadership Module (Part 2)
"Hey, want to fight?"
Rampage was startled by Sideswipe's action, and after realizing what happened, he immediately became furious.
Sideswipe looked at him with cold eyes, "If you don't want to stay here, get out!"
Like Sideswipe, Rampage was also an Autobot who originated from the Decepticons.
However, their different experiences and personalities meant they never really got along and rarely appeared on the same Task.
Sideswipe was a Decepticon with strong principles; during the Cybertronian Civil War, he was dissatisfied with the Decepticon Legion's frequent massacres of Autobot civilians and the cruel exploitation within the Decepticon Legion.
Eventually, he took the initiative to defect from the Decepticons, joined the Autobot camp, and fought for his ideals and peace.
Looking at Rampage, when he was still in the Decepticon Legion, he was favored by Megatron and recruited into the personal guard because he was irritable and warlike.
At that time, Rampage had achieved victory after victory under Megatron's command.
However, his personality was also very contradictory; he was fearless when there were many allies, but if his side fell into a disadvantageous position, he would become very cowardly and afraid of battle, and he had even deserted on the battlefield more than once.
From its inception, the Decepticon Legion had no soil for kindness to grow; instead, villains and conspirators could live very comfortably.
For a period of time, Megatron was clearly satisfied with this warlike yet cowardly guard, forgiving Rampage's desertion behaviors during unfavorable battles time and time again.
Unfortunately, one who walks by the river often gets their shoes wet.
In one battle, the Autobots won a complete victory.
Rampage was not so lucky in that battle; his legs were broken during the fight, so he became a prisoner of the Autobots after the war.
Rampage was also lucky; when he was captured, the Cybertronian Civil War had already reached the late stage of the second war, and Optimus Prime had replaced his teacher, Sentinel Prime, to become the new Leader of the Autobots.
Compared to Sentinel Prime, who was incomparably cold and ruthless toward Decepticon prisoners of war, Optimus Prime was more willing to use kindness to reform some captured Decepticons who had not committed too many evil deeds.
Most of the former Decepticon members currently in the Autobots joined the Autobot camp only after Optimus Prime became the Leader.
After being captured, because Rampage was very cooperative with the Autobot guards, he was soon seen as a candidate for reform; after a short period of detention and interrogation, he was sent to Ratchet to help treat the wounded.
During this period, because of his good performance and the fact that his personality was very compatible with Ironhide, Rampage was eventually accepted by the Autobots, and he even made many Autobot friends due to his funny personality and sense of humor.
But he did not have a good relationship with most of the former Decepticon members who had defected to the Autobot camp, and his relationship with Sideswipe was particularly bad.
Being spoken to so viciously, the enraged Rampage immediately rushed forward, intending to punch Sideswipe.
However, as only an Advanced Warrior, he clearly had a significant gap compared to the Elite Warrior Sideswipe.
Sideswipe did not indulge Rampage; without dodging or avoiding, he grabbed the fist that was thrown at him.
Then, with a sudden burst of strength, he pulled Rampage in front of him, and while Rampage was unsteady on his feet, he grabbed Rampage's waist with his other hand, lifted him high with a sudden exertion, and smashed him toward the wall not far away.
"Boom!"
Rampage was smashed against the wall, instantly creating at least a hundred cracks on it.
"Sideswipe, Rampage!"
Ratchet noticed something was wrong and hurriedly walked over to pull Sideswipe back.
Ironhide also reacted, grabbing Rampage, who was shaking his head, glaring viciously at Sideswipe, and preparing to rush up again to continue fighting him.
"That's enough!"
He scolded, "Is it not chaotic enough already?"
Rampage still had some fear of his teacher; being glared at viciously, the anger on his face quickly turned into a sheepish look.
However, this guy loved to cause trouble too much and still stubbornly pointed at Sideswipe to complain: "Teacher, he started it!"
"But the fault is yours, Rampage!"
Lia was attracted by the fight in the temple and jumped down from the hundred-meter-high hilltop in a few bounds.
Seeing no one speaking for him, Rampage glared fiercely at Sideswipe, then walked out sheepishly.
"Don't mind him, that's just his personality!"
Rampage had served as Ratchet's assistant for a period of time, so Ratchet also treated him like a junior.
After he went out, Ratchet helped Rampage say a few kind words.
Sideswipe nodded slightly without saying anything, walked up, and prepared to retrieve his Triangular Blade that had just been stuck into the wall.
Screech!
The Triangular Blade was easily pulled out from the back wall of the temple, which featured murals; Sam, having just dodged Rampage who was smashed away by Sideswipe, was standing near the back wall at this moment.
After Sideswipe retrieved his weapon, he glanced at the back wall inadvertently and couldn't help but let out a soft exclamation.
"Huh?"
"What's wrong, Sam?" his girlfriend Mikaela asked.
Sam ignored her; he frowned and walked quickly to the back wall of the temple, staring at the crack pierced by Sideswipe's weapon on the mural, standing on tiptoe and looking up for a while.
Suddenly, as if he had thought of something, he hurried to the wall and reached out to knock on it a few times.
"Thump... thump..."
"The space behind this wall is empty!"
Sam's conjecture was confirmed, and he turned to Mikaela and the other Autobots with excitement.
"Empty?"
Sideswipe frowned; he had already released electromagnetic waves to scan during his inspection earlier and could be very certain that there were no secret spaces around or under the temple.
"Let me try..."
Bumblebee heard this and walked over, making a gesture to Sam and the others, "You guys step back a little!"
He gave a reminder, then reached back and fumbled for a moment, soon pulling out a laser cannon.
Sam and the others all stepped back a few paces, and Bumblebee then aimed at the mural on the back wall of the temple and fired an Energy Bullet.
"Boom!"
The Energy Bullet quickly hit the temple mural in front of him, blasting a circular hole nearly two meters in diameter.
The moment the large hole appeared, a cold wind that seemed to blow from the Arctic made Sam and Mikaela shiver uncontrollably.
"There's something behind us!"
Bumblebee said with some excitement.
Through the hole in the back wall of the temple, several giant metal hooks could be clearly seen protruding.
Sam had good eyesight and noticed some peculiar patterns on those giant metal hooks, so he hurriedly trotted to the opening, stared at them intently for a moment, and then turned back to look at all the Autobots watching him with an excited expression.
"It can't be wrong, this is Elder Script... although I don't know what they mean, I can guarantee that I have seen them in the information from the AllSpark Fragment..."
Once these words were spoken, a trace of a smile finally appeared on the faces of Ironhide and the others again.
