Chapter 802

"This is not just a movie that ranks third in film history; what's even more shocking is that this is a sci-fi film. As everyone knows, our Chinese sci-fi film history works are very lackluster, worthy of being called a sci-fi desert. But the appearance of "Resident Evil" and its achievement of such a high box office, in a certain sense, has changed the landscape of our country's sci-fi circle. Although one cannot say that Chinese sci-fi has stood up from this moment on, they have set a very successful example for Chinese sci-fi; this is beyond doubt. You Mingyue is the savior of Chinese sci-fi!" A well-known director evaluated it so highly in an industry group.

As soon as the news was released, countless voices of agreement appeared.

"Yes. I have always believed that it's not that we Chinese people don't like the romance and imagination brought by sci-fi; after all, every year foreign sci-fi films achieve good box office results in China, even becoming the box office champion for their release slots! It's just that we haven't found the path to making good sci-fi, and now, this path has been found by You Mingyue!"

"Sci-fi and action combined with thriller, ultimately reaping five billion at the box office! I remember the reported investment for "Resident Evil" was 500 million, right?"

"Correct! This is a true ten-fold return!"

"They've given us another good lesson!"

"Too strong! Who would believe they have been directors for less than two years!"

"Kneeling!"

"Big shots, please accept my knees!"

"This pair of twins is getting more and more mysterious."

"Next time, I must avoid You Mingyue's movies."

"……"

Many industry insiders made up their minds that if they happen to clash with You Mingyue's TV dramas or movies next time, they will perform a tactical retreat!

Because this pair of twins is simply too good at rolling; it's hard to out-roll them.

"Perhaps, only those Hollywood blockbusters can out-roll them." A director thought to himself.

In his view, although You Mingyue is strong, they are still far behind Hollywood.

Counting the box office successes of these three movies by You Mingyue, none of them clashed with foreign blockbusters.

Once You Mingyue's movies encounter Hollywood blockbusters from the United States, perhaps they won't be able to get such high box office figures.

After all, that place has created numerous classic blockbusters.

It is a place that countless film people and stars in the circle yearn for.

In the circle, many people have an international dream, wanting to break out of China and become global superstars. Some even, as domestic top-tier film emperors and empresses, go to Hollywood blockbusters to play small supporting roles, just to increase their global fame and move towards the international stage.

But in the end, there are very few who succeed.

……

The young ladies are not paying attention to the movements on the internet and in the circle at this moment.

The sisters are separated in two places and are both very busy.

"Okay, I understand." In Hengdian, Youyue hung up the phone after receiving a call.

It wasn't a big deal, anyway.

It was just that the overseas release of "Resident Evil" had been settled.

In fact.

As early as when they were filming this movie, the young ladies already had the idea of releasing this movie overseas.

After all, the original version of this movie was made by the West, and they wanted to test the global market's reaction to this movie, but helplessly, the You Mingyue Studio developed too fast and didn't have resources in this regard.

They could only choose to release it domestically for the time being.

And after the movie truly became a big hit, without the young ladies needing to reach out, big companies with foreign theater resources came knocking on their door.

Hence that phone call just now.
