Chapter 978

As for Penguin Video, the final viewership data has also come out.

Because of the golden signboard that is the You Mingyue Two Wuxia drama, this show was a hit before it even aired. It was a blockbuster from the start, and from the moment it began broadcasting, the viewership numbers continued to climb, making the total viewership data extremely terrifying.

A total of 30 billion views!

A massive number of viewers chose to sign up for Penguin memberships just to watch this show.

Even after the drama concluded, due to the explosion of popularity online, the rate of membership growth didn't stop; it continued to increase rapidly.

If you don't show off now, when will you?

Penguin Video made an unprecedented Weibo post celebrating "The total viewership of 'World's Number One' reaching 30 billion," making the heads of other platforms so jealous they were practically falling apart.

This is a true annual blockbuster work!

Across all major platforms, it's rare to see one like this in a year.

How could one not be envious?

This time, Penguin really managed to show off.

"The money was well spent!" thought Fang Hai, Vice President of Penguin Video, in a great mood: "We must also spend the money to secure You Mingyue's next Two Wuxia drama, 'Wind and Cloud'!"

No choice, having money is just that willful.

When it comes to being wealthy and imposing, it has to be Penguin.

But there were also those who were very unhappy.

According to the recollections of the female secretary to the General Manager of Tianguang Entertainment, on the second day after 'World's Number One' concluded, Lin Zhi smoked two packs of cigarettes in his office, sometimes muttering, sometimes acting crazy, sometimes angry—he looked exactly like the Iron-Gall Divine Marquis Zhu Zhu Wushi when his dreams were shattered at the end of the drama.

……

Imperial Capital, You Mingyue Studio.

Today is undoubtedly very busy.

The phone rings incessantly.

There are calls from major online video platforms and also from major satellite TV stations.

The data for 'World's Number One' is too good; it has already become a Two Wuxia classic, and as a result, it has become a hot commodity.

Penguin Video only secured the online streaming rights for two years, so video websites like Youku, iQIYI, and Bilibili have entered the fray to compete for the streaming rights after those two years.

Penguin got the big meat, and everyone else wants to drink some soup.

The major video platforms see it very clearly: with the influence of this blockbuster work 'World's Number One', years from now, there will surely be countless people wanting to watch it a second, third, or fourth time…

Just like You Mingyue's Chinese Paladin series, to this day, there are still many people watching it every day.

Their old dramas are even more popular than the vast majority of new ones.

Getting in now is definitely not a loss.

And the major satellite TV stations are playing a similar game.

Just like on Earth, where every year TV stations broadcast 'Journey to the West', 'The Legend of the New White Snake', 'Water Margin', and so on.

Truly excellent and classic works can withstand the test of time.

As long as they are rebroadcast, the data will never be bad.

For the young ladies, this is of course a good thing.

It means there are still hundreds of millions in business ahead.

However, they didn't worry about this; everything was left to the staff of the You Mingyue Studio to handle.
