Chapter 47: 46 Swear by the Luo River
Sharp, urgent screams echoed through the abandoned factory, halting the imminent march of the Cosmic Army.
“What’s going on?”
At that moment, Abbas, Muzhen, and the Crow Leader, who had been in a room negotiating their final alliance out of fear others would hold back in battle, were startled.
They rushed toward the scene, and as soon as they descended the stairs, they froze.
What is this? A hell on earth?
It looked like an unrestricted fighting tournament—figures everywhere were slaughtering each other.
The Crows, supposed allies, were now killing each other in brutal combat, while the Kaiter alien, as if insane, slashed at anyone nearby.
“What are you doing? Stop!” cried the Crow Leader in shock.
The Kaiter alien had just split a Crow in two with a short blade—the scene was horrific.
“We’re allies! We can’t turn on each other!” the Natan alien called out, but he stayed far back, only shouting from a safe distance.
The Kaiter alien, like a killing machine, ignored all outside noise—he let out a beastly growl and continued slaughtering the Crows.
Abbas stepped forward: “This guy’s lost his mind. I’ll take him down first.”
The Muzhen alien, who had remained unmoved until now, blocked him: “Are you trying to pick us off one by one? Planning to capture us as slaves?”
From his observations, Abbas was the strongest among them.
If he eliminated the Kaiter alien, the rest of the Cosmic beings combined might still not be his match—they were already distrustful and divided.
So he couldn’t let the balance among the “Upper Three” be broken.
Abbas: “Then do we just leave him alone? At least remove that strange chain around his neck.”
Muzhen: “He’ll stop once he’s vented enough.” He feared Abbas might seize this chance to strike a treacherous blow.
To this Cosmic being who treated living beings as prey for his amusement, the deaths of a dozen Crows meant nothing.
The Crow Leader, hearing this, flew into a rage.
What kind of talk is this? Are you trying to leave me with no troops at all?
He flung his black cloak wide and charged forward, engaging the furious Kaiter alien in combat.
In the original plot, this Crow Leader could match a giant-sized powerful Di Ga—handling the current Kaiter alien was no challenge.
“Brilliant move!” the Natan alien, hiding far away, cheered as the Crow Leader’s ocular laser blasted the Kaiter alien back.
But the Crow Leader felt no joy—anxiety spread through his heart.
No matter how loudly he ordered them to stop, the Crows with crimson chains wrapped around their necks kept attacking their own kind.
“It must be those red chains—but how did they appear…?”
“Is this an ambush? But where are the enemies?”
Muzhen and Abbas were also pondering—they didn’t believe humans had the capability to launch such an attack.
Had some other force infiltrated?
Abbas: “Let’s end this farce first.”
Muzhen agreed: at least shatter those suspicious crimson chains.
Just as they were about to act, the Kaiter alien, pinned by the Crow Leader, suddenly erupted—growing to colossal size.
The giant Kaiter alien gripped a long spear and thrust it straight into the abandoned factory.
“This guy’s completely lost it!”
“He wants to kill us all!”
To protect themselves, Abbas and Muzhen had no choice but to giantize, revealing their true forms.
Compared to Abbas, Muzhen’s giantized form was more monstrous—sharp spikes jutted from his shoulders, and his back bore thick armor plating.
The Natan alien also giantized—but his first move was to turn and flee, escaping the battlefield like a meat grinder, refusing to fight further.
The other Cosmic beings, deeming him irrelevant, paid him no mind and let him go.
But Qi Ming had no intention of letting this “walking Star-Gift point” escape.
He’d planned to let these Cosmic beings fight longer—but now he had to reveal himself early.
“Shhh!” Nova giantized, and a crimson whip lashed out, wrapping around the Natan alien’s right leg.
“You’re… you’re the disc creature from Black Star!” The Natan alien turned and screamed in terror.
Qi Ming yanked hard, hurling the Natan alien like a meteor hammer straight at Muzhen.
“No! This thing is from Black Star!” Muzhen slashed with his sharp claws, batting the Natan alien aside like a sack of sand.
“Was this your doing?” A massive Cosmic ship rose above them, its cannon aimed at Nova—inside, the Crow Leader’s voice rang out.
So many of my subordinates dead—this must be answered for!
Meanwhile, the giantized Kaiter alien, fueled by surging energy, broke free from the red mist’s influence and regained his senses.
Realizing his earlier loss of control was due to Nova, he erupted in fury—wishing to impale it instantly with his spear.
Muzhen and Abbas also moved in, surrounding Nova.
The Cosmic beings, who had just been scheming and distrusting each other, now shared an unspoken understanding: eliminate the strongest—Nova—first.
But Qi Ming wouldn’t let a five-on-one scenario form.
“Abbas, do you remember me?” he whispered into Abbas’s mind.
“That voice—you’re…” Abbas shuddered—he instantly recognized the man who had blasted him with blinding light inside the Cosmic ship that night.
“Guess what I brought—a device that emits a hundred times the brightness of last time, enough to melt you into a puddle of sludge in an instant!” Qi Ming began bluffing again.
“No, don’t do this!” Abbas, hearing Qi Ming knew exactly how his kind died under intense light, was filled with terror.
Qi Ming: “Want me to spare you? Fine. One life for another—kill the Kaiter alien, and I’ll let you live.”
Abbas hesitated, fearing that if they all died, he’d be left helpless before Qi Ming.
Qi Ming continued his private transmission:
“I’m not from Black Star—I just have a way to transform into this disc creature.”
“I’m a native of Earth. If you don’t believe me, I swear by the sacred river Luo Shui on the soil of Shenzhou.”
“If I break this oath, may heaven and earth destroy me.”
“What’s your decision? If you don’t agree now, I’ll kill you first.”
Under the threat to his life, Abbas dared not hesitate—he agreed.
Besides, he knew many Earth beings revered nature and feared divine retribution—so this oath should be binding.
Thinking this, he lunged at the nearby Kaiter alien and attacked him with monstrous strength.
The five-on-one situation instantly became two-on-four.
