Chapter 500: 493. Crush the Star Cluster, Mob the Alien Invaders (Request Monthly Tickets)
“So this is the captain of Earth’s defense line? So easily fooled.”
The two Manon aliens revealed their true forms and mercilessly mocked the unconscious Moroboshi.
They figured if the captain was this weak, the team members must be even worse.
It seemed Earth would soon fall into their hands.
The Manon alien, now back in her original form, crouched down to pick up Moroboshi—when a laser suddenly shot from a nearby grove and struck her hand.
She recoiled, furious, and glared toward the source: “Who is it!”
Annu stepped forward, wearing wooden geta and her hair tied up, holding the Victory Hyper Gun she’d borrowed from Nami Nishijo, her face icy.
She kept firing at the two Manon aliens, forcing them back, then walked over to the fallen Moroboshi.
She stared at the unconscious Moroboshi, then extended her right foot—wrapped in white socks—from her geta and stomped it across his face, grinding it back and forth with clear frustration.
“You’ve been tricked so many times and still don’t learn? You’ve got zero caution around these things.”
“How can you be a role model to your team like this?”
“Stop sleeping! Get up and kill those two aliens—redeem yourself!”
The teammates behind her stared in shock.
Hōgen: “The captain’s being stepped on—what an insult!”
Nami Nishijo coughed to salvage Moroboshi’s dignity: “It’s not really an insult—just teammates fooling around. Hopefully after this, the captain will finally grow some sense.”
Meanwhile, the two Manon aliens pulled out electric batons, blocked Annu’s laser shots, and one leapt down in a diving slash aimed at her face.
Moroboshi seemed to sense the approaching killing intent—he snapped awake, rubbed the back of his head where he’d been hit, and reacted instantly, delivering a front kick that sent the diving alien flying.
This was another of Moroboshi’s traits: he passed out quickly, but woke up just as fast—most clearly shown in Episode 3 of Ultraseven, “The Secret of the Lake.”
The Manon aliens weren’t frightened by Moroboshi’s awakening—it was just two-on-two.
Qi Ming: “Everyone, let’s go together! If we wait too long, we’ll miss the barbecue and Yuni Jin!”
Aizumi Sei jumped up: “That’s right! We came to see Yuni Jin! Quick, everyone—take them down!”
Dozens of people suddenly leapt out from the grove, leaving the two Manon aliens stunned.
What is going on?
Dozens of people charged toward the Manon aliens with full force; the two aliens were forced to retreat and run.
Worried they might grow giant, Nami Nishijo stopped the group from Guqiao and Tiancheng who didn’t know the truth: “Seniors, leave this to us.”
Annu returned the Victory Hyper Gun to Nami Nishijo: “Then it’s yours.”
Yamaka looked bewildered: Wait, weren’t you just stopping the seniors? Why did you stop me too?
The group kept chasing; the two Manon aliens were blasted with laser fire all the way, forcing them to grow giant.
“You brought this on yourselves!” After growing giant, the two Manon aliens looked down at the “tiny humans” below, sneering.
Crushed by our glorious forms, mere mortals like ants.
But the two Manon aliens were soon surprised—these humans showed no fear at all; they were even whispering to each other.
Nami Nishijo turned to the human hosts of the Ultramen: “Who’s taking them?”
Qi Ming: “All of us. Let’s make it fun.”
Shintō Chi: “Fine. Let’s see who lands the final blow! Consider this a team activity!”
At her words, everyone responded eagerly.
“Grant me the power of bonds!”
“Agul!”
“Leo!”
“Juwa!”
“Link Mode—Dyna Wings!”
Karimira and Toregia also transformed; Qi Ming pulled out the Ultimate Battle Device and summoned a monster: “Silver Dragon, go—crush these two Manon aliens!”
Six giants and one monster surrounded the two Manon aliens; Dyna Wings sealed off their airspace—the sudden shift left the aliens stunned.
This… this… am I dreaming?
How is this possible? Why are so many giants suddenly appearing?!
Your opponents:
Dyna Wings, who easily soloed a C-rank monster: Kemjira.
Toregia, C-rank; Leo, nearing B-rank.
Seven and Karimira, both B-rank.
Silver Dragon, B+ rank.
Agul V2, B-top rank.
Black Ubel, A-rank.
You: a Manon alien, A-rank in the original series, but only C-rank here—barely able to hold his own against Composite Tiga.
What kind of insane matchmaking is this? Is there any justice?!
Not only do they outnumber us, but their overall power dwarfs ours.
This dungeon is hellish—way too unfriendly to invaders like us!
The Manon aliens hurriedly cried: “Wait—you’re Ultramen, right? Aren’t you supposed to be righteous heroes? Why are you ganging up on two of us?”
Karimira sneered at the term: “Heroes? I only care about the outcome.”
Seven: “Don’t waste words with these invaders—let’s attack together!”
The next instant, all the Ultramen charged at the two Manon aliens at once, overwhelming them with crushing pressure.
In the original series, Tiga’s battle with the Manon aliens carried an air of “elegance.” In this world, there was no romantic, poetic grace—only the continuous, agonized screams of the Manon aliens as they were mobbed.
The Manon aliens, unwilling to surrender, fired red destructive energy balls in retaliation—but Agul’s body and Black Ubel’s sword blocked them.
Realizing the absolute gap in power, the Manon aliens immediately cried out: “We didn’t know you were an Ultraman, Moroboshi! We thought you were an easy mark—our apologies. Let’s call it quits and make peace!”
But no one cared what they said—Seven’s assault only grew fiercer.
“The captain looks so energetic.”
“Everyone, you’re crowding too close—Dyna Wings can’t fire anymore!”
Throughout the entire battle, the only damage the righteous side suffered came from friendly fire.
Once the Manon aliens were closed in, all they could do was scream and howl, kicked around like soccer balls.
“Shhh!” Boom—the sky dropped a massive robot: Ascalon, piloted by Gagura.
The radio barrier the Manon aliens had set up had cut off his contact with the Victory Team; he assumed alien interference was at play and immediately launched Ascalon to assist.
But when he arrived, the battle was already over…
“Shhh!” Agul’s Sacred Sword pierced through the first Manon alien, killing it with a final scream.
The other, beaten beyond recognition, was struck in the head by Toregia’s finishing beam and exploded into fragments.
Toregia was delighted—my attack was the final blow!
Aizumi Sei lamented missing the kill: “Ugh, too crowded—I couldn’t swing my sword.”
Two green light points were sucked into the Ultraman Key and converted by Qi Ming into 2 Star Blessings.
The easy slaughter ended. The group, now including Gagura—who’d come “since they were here anyway”—invited him back to witness Yuni Jin’s arrival.
…………………………………………
“The Time Prediction Disc is glowing—Yuni Jin is coming!”
Back at the forest camp, as the Time Prediction Disc signaled its warning, everyone stared intently at every corner around them.
