Zhu Xingtuan leaped back to dodge, while Qi Ming reached out with his left hand and seized the branch.

“He won’t realize his mistake or reflect and reform unless he’s made to feel real pain—this will spare the world one more antisocial brat. Don’t you agree?”

All this circular reasoning left Feng Yuan dizzy.

Ying Xing clutched the arm Qi Ming had struck; his voice trembled with pain as he screamed: “Mefras! Mefras! Come out and teach them a lesson!”

“Mefras!” Zhu Xingtuan and Feng Yuan instantly went on high alert, scanning the surroundings tensely.

But nothing happened.

“Mefras! Mefras! Didn’t you promise me? I gave you Earth—you were supposed to protect my country!” Ying Xing grew desperate, continuing to shout.

Still, nothing happened.

“Oh? You not only shelter disk lifeforms but also collude with aliens to betray Earth? Impressive.”

Qi Ming swung his bat again, delivering another heavy blow to Ying Xing’s left shoulder, making him howl again: “Where’s Mefras? Shout louder—call him out!”

If he shows up, I’ll kill him—and the disk lifeforms too.

Ying Xing screamed again, hoping his protector would appear and punish Qi Ming—but the sensible Mefras had already fled ahead of time.

“Has he even really seen Mefras? Or is he just plain stupid?” Karimira doubted.

Ying Xing’s face flushed crimson, trembling violently; suddenly, he charged at Qi Ming like a madman, swinging his fists: “I’ll fight you to the death!”

Qi Ming sidestepped effortlessly, then brought the baseball bat down hard on Ying Xing’s back.

“Wah!” Ying Xing crashed face-first into the mud; searing pain exploded across his entire body.

When he lifted his head, his face was caked with dirt and grass clippings—he looked like a drowned, ragged chicken.

“Crack…” At that moment, a sound came from the hut.

Ying Xing thought Mefras was finally acting—but when he looked up, the fleeting joy on his face turned to sheer terror.

The blue disk lifeform on the shelf had begun to move!

It sprouted octopus-like tentacles and sprayed fire at the animals he had raised!
