Chapter 26: Company Changes

After she fell asleep, Chen Yu went to the living room and dialed Shi Hu's number: "I want to acquire Jiyun Group at the lowest possible cost."

"Mr. Chen, I am already aware of your wife's situation. President Lin has already instructed me to handle it. After midnight tonight, you will become the new Chairman of Jiyun Group, holding eighty percent of the shares."

"Then please thank President Lin for me." Chen Yu was stunned; the Lin Family's influence was truly immense, and they were so observant, handling matters with absolute perfection.

"Young Master Kaicheng's matter has already been resolved. Mr. Chen is a benefactor of the Lin Family, and the Head of Family has instructed that if Mr. Chen has any requests, you should not hesitate to ask; please do not be formal," Shi Hu said with a smile.

After hanging up the phone, Chen Yu collapsed onto the bed and fell asleep.

Early the next morning, Chen Yu took the initiative to drive Ye Xinyu to work. He did not drive the G-Wagon, instead riding a beat-up electric scooter to take her to the company.

"Honey, I have a meeting today. The new Chairman is coming, so I won't be back at noon. Don't wait for me." Ye Xinyu greeted Chen Yu, then stepped into the elevator.

Chen Yu parked the electric scooter and also walked toward the company.

Jiyun Group was not particularly large in the economically developed Fengling, but it had tens of millions in profits every year. The previous boss had already been ousted, and the company was currently being managed by Vice President Wu Qiang.

It was already past work hours, so Chen Yu entered the door and walked straight toward the elevator.

"This is our company; no unauthorized persons are allowed to enter." The receptionist rolled her eyes.

"Can't I come in to apply for a job?" Chen Yu asked.

"Sorry, our company is not hiring cleaners right now." The receptionist sneered: "Chen Yu, if you're smart, you'll leave quickly. If you dare to cause trouble here, I'll have security throw you out."

"Why are you so sure I'm here to cause trouble?" Chen Yu frowned.

"Heh, you're here to ask your wife for money again, aren't you? Who in the whole company doesn't know you? Don't ruin our company's image here, get lost." The receptionist said impatiently.

"I said, I'm here to apply for a job." Chen Yu said calmly.

"Our company's minimum requirement is a bachelor's degree. Do you have one? Besides, what are you applying for?" The receptionist said disdainfully.

"I'm applying to be the Chairman." Chen Yu smiled.

"Crazy person! Security, where is security? Drag this lunatic away, don't let him disrupt our company's normal operations." The receptionist shouted.

At her shout, two security guards immediately ran over. These were new faces; the ones who had clashed with Chen Yu yesterday were likely still stuck in the bathroom unable to straighten their backs.

"Yang, what's going on?" one security guard asked.

"Look closely, this man is named Chen Yu, he's a gambler. Don't let him in again from now on." The receptionist pointed at Chen Yu and shouted: "The new Chairman is taking office today, don't let him affect our work here."

"Chen Yu, is it? Get out, don't make trouble here, or we won't be polite to you." The security guard pointed his baton at Chen Yu.

"Don't point things at me, I don't like it." Chen Yu frowned. If he weren't concerned about his first day on the job and the impact on his image, he would have already taught this security guard a lesson.

"Stop wasting words with him. The new Chairman is taking office today, hurry up and throw him out." The receptionist said angrily.

"Get lost right now." The security guard grabbed his baton, ready to drive him away.

"Wait, what is this?" Just then, a man in a suit and leather shoes walked in; he was the company's Vice President, Wu Qiang.

"VP Wu, you're here?" The receptionist hurriedly ran to Wu Qiang's side and said fawningly: "The new President is coming today, and this brat is here ruining our company's image. VP Wu, you don't know, he's Chen Yu, the husband of Ye Xinyu from the Sales Department."

"Understood." Wu Qiang's eyelids twitched, and cold sweat instantly began to trickle down his forehead.

In the conference room, Wang Qi announced a series of appointments.

Ye Xinyu secured the Yibo account, and her sales performance has always been number one, so the supervisor position is a sure thing.
