Chapter 132: Psychic Piercing
While lost in thought, Ninglu walked to a circular plaza; the colorful mosaics pieced together to form the plaza depicted some kind of abstract geometric pattern, much like a mural.
The plaza led to twenty buildings, a number that was no coincidence; they were the residences prepared by the Emperor for the Primarchs.
Ninglu followed the path along the lake and walked into a courtyard built of pale stone blocks.
There was a training ground in the courtyard, and the twelve Order Shadows, seeing the Primarch return, all ceased their movements and saluted their Gene-Father.
After Ninglu gave a slight nod, he immediately looked up toward the orbit.
His consciousness spread upward toward the orbit, found the Void Hunter among the numerous ships, and then locked onto Tierni's position, sending the order and the dark pattern on the vault of the Observatorium to the "Thief" via telepathy.
"Send people to investigate the relevant intelligence; do not risk yourself."
It was not Malcador's eyes and ears that Ninglu wanted to avoid; with his keen perception, it would be unreasonable for him not to conduct relevant investigations after discovering a mythical creature.
The current treasure-hunting team did not have the ability to avoid Malcador's eyes and ears; what he wanted to avoid as much as possible were other factions.
Ancient creatures that even Primarchs were curious about—those families, whether out of covetousness or a desire to curry favor, would send personnel to search, which would disturb the mythical creature that might still be alive.
Ninglu then walked into the three-story black villa; Malcador had ordered people to paint it black.
The entire building looked more like obsidian than a marble structure.
The first floor had a large living room and a dining room by the window; the members of the Honor Guard lived in the guest rooms on this floor, making it convenient for them to stand guard and conduct activities in the courtyard's training ground.
After Ninglu sat down on the alloy chair in the living room that matched his own, he thought for a moment and then opened his communicator.
He issued instructions to the Star Whisper Master to mobilize the Second, Fourth, Fifth, Seventh, Eleventh, and Twelfth Chapters to the Solar Segmentum.
He knew that the current ruler of Necromunda was the Spider Alliance, a civilization spanning six star systems, connected together by Portals.
The rulers of the Spider Alliance were techno-aristocrats who called their home planet the Spider Star, which the Human Empire renamed Necromunda after conquering it.
Considering that the Imperial Fists could blitz a star system in a day and reach the Spider Star in two months, crushing the Spider Alliance was not much of a test.
But he thought about how the Spider Alliance had destroyed the Portals in the five star systems other than Necromunda, leaving only Necromunda after the explosions.
Ninglu did not want such waste; he wanted all six star systems of the Spider Alliance, and the Portals were also worth studying; he wanted to conquer the six star systems at a faster speed.
Besides blitz tactics, he had one other possible way to solve the Portal explosions, and that was to obtain revelation from the Prophecy Dice he had just acquired.
While lost in thought, Ninglu rose from his chair and walked up the stairs.
He left the second floor to the Primarch Attendant and his retinue; the "Reader" had already set off with his assistants, heading to various libraries to search for and record information.
Ninglu went straight up to the third floor, where there was a large bedroom, a study, a washroom, and a large balcony.
Ninglu came to the study, sat on a chair of the same style as the one in the living room, opened the transparent box, and picked up the three-sided die from it.
The Prophecy Dice required an ordinary person to hold it with both hands, but the Primarch picked it up with just two fingers.
As the three-sided die entered his hand, he felt a chill; its material felt like metal.
Ninglu tossed it casually, and the Prophecy Dice spun and landed on the long table; after a moment, no anomaly was projected.
【Just as Malcador said, the Prophecy Dice usually acts like an ordinary die.
There are eleven months left until the next "recharge" is full.】
While lost in thought, the Primarch extended two fingers, picked it up again, placed it in his palm, and examined it carefully.
Just as Ninglu was studying the Prophecy Dice, in Traina, the capital of the Trainer star system.
Red, elegant aircraft streaked rapidly through the air, flying toward a building.
On one of the red bikes, a tall figure wearing red robes and a white face mask raised the staff in their hand and issued an order in the Eldar language.
"Attack the monkeys, save our kin."
The Eldar had long since confirmed through prophecy that there were only thirty-four monkey warriors in black armor here, and they would certainly be able to rescue their injured kin.
This would be a surprise attack; once the monkeys reacted, they would have rescued their kin and retreated elegantly.
At the same moment, Howard, sensing that his jurisdiction was being invaded, immediately issued an order on the communication channel.
"Xenos invasion, prepare for combat."
A sharp glint flashed in the Arbiter Lord's eyes; for nearly a year, he had been waiting for this day.
In order to catch the "bait" that had taken the hook, he had even set his office in the building where the Eldar were being held.
Today, he had finally waited for this opportunity; only by capturing the Eldar Farseer could he know the purpose of the Sam-Han Craftworld, complete the Primarch's mission, and find the Jingjie Star.
Howard strode toward the balcony; at the same moment, the Eldar bike riders outside launched their offensive, diving down to attack the warriors in black armor.
The Shuriken Catapults embedded in the Jetbikes aimed downward, instantly firing hundreds of triangular Monofilament Darts, which covered the targets like large nets.
Shuriken weapons were the unique weapons of the Eldar; this technology was extremely advanced and difficult to replicate.
Shuriken weapons were based on gravity accelerators, with a plastic crystal core in the magazine serving as ammunition.
When attacking, the shuriken weapon would release a high-energy pulse from the rear, strip a Monofilament Dart from the ammunition core, and then fire it at high speed through the barrel.
Magnetic anti-gravity devices would fix the ammunition core, keeping it in the proper position relative to the pulse; weapons fired in this way could shoot hundreds of rounds in a second or two, and each core could provide for a dozen bursts.
The disadvantage of this weapon was that the barrel had no rifling, so the accuracy was insufficient, but shuriken weapons did not need to aim in the first place; the area covered by hundreds of Monofilament Darts was harder to dodge than a dozen precision-fired rounds.
But the Order Shadows of the First Chapter were faster than the Eldar warriors; alerted by their Lord, they relied on their superhuman perception to immediately discover the rapidly approaching Eldar Jetbikes.
Moments before the Eldar warriors launched their attack, they completed their tactical maneuvers in advance, dodged the attack, and simultaneously raised their bolters to launch a counterattack.
Compared to projectile weapons of similar size, shuriken weapons had a shorter range; after the bike riders dived in for the surprise attack, they were very close to the Space Marines, and many riders could not dodge in time, with several Eldar being torn apart by bolter fire instantly.
The Eldar Farseer was shocked to see that the first round of rapid strikes was ineffective; they had just raised the staff in their hand, preparing to launch an attack on the black-armored monkey warriors.
The "Inquisitor" who had instantly rushed to the balcony had already locked onto the target; their black eyes glowed with a pale blue light, an invisible radiance flashed, and a bolt of lightning struck the Eldar's spirit soul directly.
Suffering the "Psychic Piercing" attack, the Eldar Farseer instantly felt pain so intense that they could not think.
The "Magistrate's" amplification within the jurisdiction caused powerful damage to the Eldar Farseer.
The Eldar Farseer instantly tumbled off the Jetbike; as the "Magistrate" drew their Power Sword, they leaped into the air and appeared in front of the Xenos in an instant.
Howard swung their sword, the blue energy field crackling as it shredded the Eldar's right shoulder and arm, and the staff clattered to the ground.
The "Arbiter" extended their left arm and tightly gripped the Eldar Farseer's throat.
The turn of events in an instant shocked the Eldar riders; their Farseer had actually been captured by the monkeys.
The furious Windrider riders immediately turned their direction and charged toward Howard.
