Chapter 15: Howard's Adventurous Decision

~7 min read 1,337 words

"My Lord, the Hive Tower of Boleslaw is in that direction."

Bukayo came to Ninglu's side and reached out to point to the front right.

"My Lord, my full name is Bukayo Arshavin. My family was wiped out by Boleslaw King on trumped-up charges; in truth, he simply took a fancy to my family's printing business."

"I could only flee to the Lower Hive. If I hadn't run into you, I would still be worrying about my next meal."

Ninglu nodded slightly. No wonder the youth possessed a maturity beyond his years; it turned out he had come from the Upper Hive and received a good education.

The freight elevator traveled back and forth rapidly. After sending eight hundred and forty subordinates to the Upper Hive, Ninglu suddenly heard the sound of vehicles driving.

He immediately grabbed a metal pillar nearby and charged toward the direction the sound came from.

As Ninglu leaped and ran, he displayed an agility inconsistent with his giant frame; obstacles like shipping containers in the freight area did not cause the slightest hindrance to his sprint.

He leaped into the air and swung the metal pillar in his hand, knocking the lead vehicle of the convoy away.

The overturning truck knocked over two other trucks.

When Bukayo was the first to arrive at the scene, he saw over a dozen trucks all smashed down by his master.

Even though he had already anticipated it, he was still stunned in place by this scene in Shock.

Ninglu realized he could not wait any longer; his advantage was not troop strength, but time.

Once the enemy reacted, the forces they could mobilize would be a thousand times greater than the subordinates waiting for transport, and more crucially, they could also request aid from the Adeptus Mechanicus.

Ninglu did not want to exhaust all his loyal forces in the operation to conquer Teziwoke Hive City; this was only the beginning.

He issued an order to Luoersiliefu, who had hurried over, "Leave eight squads to guard the elevator entrance."

"Everyone else, follow me to launch an attack on the Hive Tower."

"As you command, my Lord."

Luoersiliefu immediately obeyed the order. If someone had told him a month ago that he would have to rely on fewer than eight hundred people to launch an attack on the royal Hive Tower, he would only have laughed at that person for being insane.

But if that person was Ninglu, the god-like, imposing giant, he firmly believed this could definitely be achieved.

Just as Ninglu led his team away, a luxury sedan with a golden lightning emblem painted on its side arrived fashionably late.

Kaminski, who had just been promoted from private butler to butler of the Finde Family, leaned back in the leather seat to close his eyes and rest.

His private secretary suddenly let out a scream, "Lord Butler, something has happened at the freight station?"

"What?"

Kaminski opened his eyes with dissatisfaction, then immediately saw the raging flames ahead.

"Damn it, retreat quickly."

The butler secretly rejoiced that because he was preparing for a banquet, he had let the freight convoy depart first, which was why he had luckily escaped a disaster.

A moment later, Howard received the news and immediately switched to the family intelligence officer's communication channel.

"The family freight convoy has been attacked. I want you to find out immediately what happened."

He switched to the guard team channel again, "Assemble the family's armed forces."

After hanging up the communication, he furrowed his brows tightly.

"Bulelong?"

"No! He is just a piece of trash."

"Estupinian, it's possible. It might even be the royal family acting personally; it is not the first time they have done this to seize industries. Perhaps the Fifth Arbiter is just a puppet pushed to the surface by Boleslaw."

The blonde noble youth stood up and walked around the desk a few times.

Just then, a beeping sound rang out.

Howard took a deep breath before connecting to the intelligence officer's communication.

"Count, my people pulled the surveillance near the freight station and discovered a force of less than a thousand people marching in Rapid fashion. They have already annihilated several Hive Security Force units."

"Is their target our Hive Tower?"

"No, my Lord. Judging from their route, their target is the royal family's Hive Tower."

Howard was stunned, and he asked in surprise.

"What?"

He suspected he was hallucinating; only the craziest people would launch an attack on the royal Hive Tower.

He remembered seeing in family history that a family once used their entire elite force of over sixty thousand people to attack the Hive Tower, and they hadn't even managed to break through to it.

Yet the force attacking now was only one thousand people.

"My Lord, their leader is very special. I have never seen such a tall human. I believe you should take a look."

Howard took out a Data Slate to view the footage sent by the intelligence officer.

His azure pupils constricted. He had thought it was just a two-meter-tall burly man, but now seeing it through the footage, even an Ogryn was much shorter than him.

When he saw that person's majestic face after slow-motion processing, he suddenly felt a sense of familiarity.

In Howard's mind, the handsome face of a youth overlapped with the giant's face after being magnified, and he exclaimed out loud.

"Ninglu!"

"How could he have become like this?"

After the blonde noble recognized Ninglu in surprise, he was shocked to see him slaughtering the Hive Security Force with a combat style completely different from his impression.

He crashed directly into a speeding vehicle; the assault boat was smashed by him, and metal debris scattered all over the ground.

He picked up a security guard as if picking up a chick and flung him into the air, smashing him into an automated machine-bee equipped with a stubber gun.

Several words emerged in Howard's mind: simple, brutal, efficient, cold, ruthless, unstoppable.

Ninglu was not just one person; he was a god of war.

Howard snapped out of his Shock; now was not the time to be amazed.

The key was how the Finde Family should react.

【Even if Ninglu's armed uprising fails, the Boleslaw Family will suffer heavy losses.】

Considering their methods of operation, they will certainly shift the losses and seize the assets of other families; this is also a means of deterrence after the turmoil.

By reverse-engineering his route of travel, one can lock onto the Hantemanxi Dome, and because of this, lock onto me; even my previous request for him to help with my defense will be linked to it.

Howard clenched his fists; he realized that the Boleslaw Family would use him as a scapegoat, claiming he provided intelligence to Ninglu, or even that he was the mastermind behind the scenes.

The truth has never been important; as long as the fact that the Lower Hive people broke into the Hive Tower is covered up, the prestige of the royal family can be maintained.

Howard clenched his fists; he made a risky decision—to join Ninglu's team and launch an attack on the Boleslaw Family, which was sucking the blood of the Finde Family.

Ninglu gave him the courage to make a decision; in the less than four minutes he spent watching the footage, the giant had actually fought through the defenses of an entire street, and he was only 5.2 kilometers away from the royal Hive Tower.

As Howard led the Finde Family guard unit to board their vehicles and march toward the Boleslaw Family Hive Tower, Ninglu also encountered trouble for the first time.

Four fixed turrets opened fire, and a devastating volley of Mortars covered his team.

Amidst the deafening explosions, more than a dozen battle-hardened gang members were torn apart and shredded by the shockwaves, like shattered sandbags.

"Spread out!"

"Find cover!"

Ninglu shouted loudly, and he charged toward the turrets, head-on into the hail of shells.
