Chapter 1060: Overpowered Number

The earth shook violently, and countless spider-web-like cracks spread wildly on the ground. Scorching red light spewed out from the cracks, and boiling magma intertwined in the air as if it had life. The lava fire pillar twisted into a huge "No. 61" number hovering in mid-air, and every stroke was constantly dripping with burning liquid flame.

Suddenly all the magma rolled back into the cracks, the space was briefly silent, and in the next second, amidst a deafening explosion, a lava pillar with a diameter of 30 meters rushed into the sky, and the dark red dragon claws tore through the fire curtain first. The behemoth numbered 61 descended slowly, its whole body covered in cooled and shattered basalt armor, and golden-orange lava flowed in every gap. When it fully unfolded its lava-composed membrane wings, the sky was filled with sparks, and every breath spewed out sulfur-flavored fire clouds from its nostrils. The most terrifying thing was the number badge embedded in its body, which was flickering with the breathing frequency, as if timing the detonation of this active volcano.

【No. 61 Volcasaurus, ATK 2500】

"Another 'No.'!" Judai couldn't help but speak.

Yubel reminded: "Be careful, Judai, this guy feels even stronger than before."

"Ah, I know." Judai nodded.

Indeed. The pressure and aura brought by Volcasaurus this time were more than twice as strong as the Sea Evil Dragon that appeared when You Xuan dueled before.

Perhaps this "No." itself is far stronger than Sea Evil Dragon, or perhaps the controller this time has a stronger affinity with "No." than Mr. T and Sea Evil Dragon before, or perhaps both factors are present.

In short, the opponent this time is obviously more powerful.

Taniguchi's skin flushed with an unnatural flush, and he grabbed his neck in pain, where the skin was bulging strangely, revealing a scorching number identical to the one on Volcasaurus's chest. When the brand of "No. 61" was completely formed, dark red magma patterns surged along his blood vessels, forming crack patterns on his body surface that were exactly the same as the monster's armor.

Taniguchi's iris was completely swallowed by the lava-like crimson at this moment, and the heat waves around him twisted, making the air produce a mirage effect like a high-temperature desert, and burning footprints were branded on the cement floor under his feet, as if his life fire had been completely connected to Volcasaurus through that cursed number.

"Is this the power of 'No.'? So comfortable~"

Taniguchi closed his eyes, as if enjoying this constantly surging great power.

"That person really didn't lie, bound to the soul, 'No.' can actually give such powerful power. With this power, should I be omnipotent?"

Judai's eyes briefly turned into golden pupils, and he scanned the opponent's power attributes with the power of the Supreme King.

"This person seems to have completely merged with 'No.'," Judai said. "'No.' cards grant duelists strength far beyond their own ability level, and at the same time, they will exert stronger power through the feedback of the duelist's soul..."

"It's indeed a very special spirit type," Yubel said lightly. "Even I don't seem to have seen anything like this."

"Hahaha, it's too early to be amazed now, the power of 'No.' is just beginning to show!" Taniguchi shouted, "Activate the effect of 'No. 61 Volcasaurus'!

Volcasaurus removes an Xyz material, destroys a monster on the opponent's field, and then deals damage to the opponent equal to the ATK of the destroyed monster!" (Original effect)

Although the animation version and the real card version of Volcasaurus have similar effects, many details have been changed, making it not a level of power at all.

First, the first difference is that the real card can only deal damage equal to the "original" ATK of the destroyed monster to the opponent, while the animation judgment is the current ATK.

Take Brave Neos at this time as an example, Brave Neos's ATK is 2700 at this time. According to the real card effect, Judai only needs to take 2500 damage, but the animation version can deal 2700 damage according to the current enhanced ATK.

Of course, the premise is that Brave Neos is destroyed. Volcasaurus bit off one of the two Xyz materials circling around it, and spewed out an overbearing and unparalleled swirling flame from its mouth, rushing straight towards Brave Neos.

Yubel: "It's a bit troublesome to take this move, Judai."

"I know, of course," Judai said. "Then I activate another effect of the Magic Card 'Neos Fusion' from the Graveyard!

When a Neos Fusion monster on my field is destroyed by battle or effect, I can banish 'Neos Fusion' from the Graveyard to replace the destruction!"

Just as the lava was about to swallow Neos, the blue crystal on Neos's chest suddenly burst into seven-colored brilliance. Countless prism-like rainbow light particles condensed rapidly in front of him, forming a translucent polyhedron barrier. When the lava hit the barrier, the scorching fire flow washed away, flowing and expanding on the surface of the barrier like sunlight passing through a triangular prism.

The lava exploded into a sky of fire rain on the rainbow barrier, and the silver-white body of Neos reflected the changing rainbow light, and the lava impact caused ripple-like halos on the barrier.

"Neos Fusion actually has a hidden ability; it's really a troublesome magic."

Taniguchi snorted, but then sneered again.

"However, the power of Volcasaurus is even higher! If one time doesn't work, then do it again!

Activate the effect of 'No. 61 Volcasaurus' again!

Remove an Xyz material, destroy a monster on the opponent's field, and deal damage to the opponent equal to the ATK of the destroyed monster!"

Judai was shocked: "There is no limit to the number of times such a powerful effect can be activated!?"

This is another difference between the animation and real card of Volcasaurus, and it is also the biggest difference. The real card effect can only be activated once per turn, while there is no limit in the animation.

If there must be a limit, it is that Volcasaurus has a total of only two Xyz materials, so it can only be used twice at most. But twice per turn, and it's a 4000-blood environment, this is already enough to be overpowered.

Volcasaurus bit off the second Xyz material circling around it and opened its bloody mouth again. A roar of magma surging came from deep in Volcasaurus's throat, and it suddenly raised its head, spewing out a lava fire pillar with a diameter of 5 meters, not just pure flame, but a destructive torrent mixed with semi-solidified lava blocks and sulfur crystals, and the air was burned into twisted ripples wherever it passed.

This time, no Neos Fusion could replace the destruction, and even Brave Neos could not stop this torrent impact, and could only be pierced through the chest by the lava fire pillar, turning into starlight and dissipating under the flames.

"Then take the 2700 damage of Brave Neos's ATK!"

The flames continued to rush over without losing momentum, and Judai staggered back two steps under the flame impact.

【Judai, LP4000 -> LP1300】

"Is this the true power of 'No.'?"

Judai wiped his sweat, suffered a loss, but instead showed an excited smile.

"So amazing, if this continues, I'm going to burn up too."
