Chapter 1075: Photon Butterfly Assassin

Countless ghostly blue light particles emerged from the void, rotating and gathering like a shattered starry sky. These stardusts gradually outlined a slender female silhouette as they intertwined; the Photon Butterfly Assassin's toes solidified first, stepping lightly on the light dust. She was semi-transparent cobalt blue, with a galaxy-like shimmer flowing under her skin. The moment she fully appeared, the entire field was dyed with ripples like the deep sea.

【Photon Butterfly Assassin - Papillon, Attack 1200】

Photon Butterfly Assassin is a new series for the GX dimension and is Droite's signature deck.

"Set one card, turn end."

Droite finished her operation and looked at Fujiki You Xuan vigilantly.

From the information gathered so far, she also knew that this person opposite was probably the king of this dimension.

Duel King—such a title did not exist in the dimension she came from. No duelist could bear such a weighty title, and precisely because of this, she was slightly surprised when she first learned that this dimension actually had such a king who could make an entire world bow down.

"Interesting." Droite thought to herself, "Then let me try, what kind of duelist can be called a king."

"My turn, draw card."

Fujiki You Xuan drew a card and then played a card from his hand casually.

"Continuous Spell 'Heart of the Underdog'. While this card is on the field, if the card drawn during the Draw Phase is a Normal Monster, show the drawn card to the opponent, and you can draw another card from the deck."

"Normal Monster?"

Droite felt confused for a moment.

In her dimension, Normal Monsters have almost gone extinct. The effects of various monsters in the Xyz dimension have been developed to a quite advanced level; almost no one would bring a "vanilla" monster without monster effects.

Except for legendary rare cards like "Blue-Eyes White Dragon," Normal Monsters in the Xyz dimension only have collection value; almost no one brings them. So Droite even felt a bit strange when she heard the term.

However, she quickly thought of something else.

The information collected before revealed that the current dimension is generally backward compared to their Xyz dimension.

Many ordinary duelists here still use Normal Monsters as attackers, and some of the mainstream cards and tactics in the environment also existed in the history of the Xyz dimension, but many of them are old systems that were eliminated many years ago in the history of dueling development.

So in Droite's view, generally speaking, this dimension gave her the feeling of looking at history. The overall development process of Duel Monsters in this world seems to be behind their dimension.

Thinking of this, Droite couldn't help but raise the corners of her mouth slightly.

It seems that even if he is a Duel King, by the standards of their Xyz dimension, he is probably a king from several generations ago. Could she, a modern person, lose to an ancient person?

Fujiki You Xuan: "Normal Summon 'Mother Grizzly'."

A mass of water appeared on his field, and the figure of a giant bear condensed in the water. Mother Grizzly waved its thick bear paws and let out a low, powerful roar.

【Mother Grizzly, Attack 1400】

"Battle." Fujiki You Xuan said, "Mother Grizzly attacks 'Photon Butterfly Assassin - Papillon'."

The giant bear let out a low roar and rushed forward, slapping the butterfly with its thick bear paw. The Photon Butterfly Assassin crossed its wings, blocking in front like a shield, but obviously could not withstand the giant bear paw.

"Such a straightforward and simple attack." Droite muttered, then shouted, "Activate Set card, Trap card 'Subordinate Scales'!

Can only be activated when the opponent's monster declares an attack; change the attacking monster to Defense Position, and then equip this card to that monster!"

A burst of golden scales surrounded Mother Grizzly like butterflies filling the sky. Mother Grizzly, who was halfway through its slap, stiffened, and then involuntarily shrank back, changing into a defensive posture.

【Mother Grizzly, Attack 1400 → Defense 1000】 "At this moment, the effect of Photon Butterfly Assassin - Papillon triggers!" Droite said, "Photon Butterfly Assassin - Papillon, when the battle position of an opponent's monster is changed, once per turn, you can make that monster's Attack and Defense both decrease by 1000!"

【Mother Grizzly, Attack/Defense 1400/1000 → 400/0】

"And the monster equipped with 'Subordinate Scales' will have to be controlled by me." Droite smiled, "After that, once per turn, I can freely manipulate the battle position of the equipped 'Mother Grizzly'."

"Actually manipulating my monster's battle position at will, and decreasing Attack and Defense along with this combination... that's too much."

Fujiki You Xuan shrugged.

"Then I set two cards, turn end."

Droite couldn't help but chuckle.

Mother Grizzly, she also recognized it. This is one of the earliest and most classic "relic" monsters, and it is also a "relic" level card.

If the opponent is using these ancient old cards, then even if he is a so-called king, there is nothing to be afraid of. He is just a Duel King in a museum.

The entire dueling environment of this dimension looks exactly like the appearance of the dimension Droite came from before "Xyz Summoning" appeared—that is a very distant past for her.

"My turn, draw card!"

Droite said.

"I summon 'Photon Butterfly Assassin - Morpho'!"

This time, it was a butterfly assassin with golden wings, flying onto the field surrounded by golden scales.

【Photon Butterfly Assassin - Morpho, Attack 1800】

"Next, activate the effect of the equipped Trap card 'Subordinate Scales', once per turn, change the battle position of the equipped monster. Droite said, "Change Mother Grizzly, which turned to defense last turn, back to Attack Position!"

Mother Grizzly let out a roar of unwillingness, but under the surrounding scales, its body still swayed and stood up again.

"Of course, at this moment, the effect of 'Photon Butterfly Assassin - Papillon' triggers again." Droite sneered, "Papillon, every time an opponent's monster changes its battle position, once per turn, make that monster's Attack and Defense both decrease by 1000!"

Papillon's wings flapped again, and the blue scales filling the sky surged toward Mother Grizzly. The grizzly bear was surrounded by thousands of scales, and its already meager Attack continued to fall.

【Mother Grizzly, Attack 400 → Attack 0】

"Manipulating the opponent's battle position, being able to turn attacking monsters to defense to block attacks, and turning defensive monsters to attack to increase output, while cooperating with the effects of the Butterfly monsters to weaken the opponent's Attack..."

Fujiki You Xuan nodded and commented.

"A combination with some interest."

"Still have the leisure to give pointers so calmly?" Droite said, "That looks like I'll output even more.

Go, Photon Butterfly Assassin - Morpho, attack Mother Grizzly, whose Attack has become 0!" ===== CHAPTER 1076 =====
