Chapter 11

"My turn..."

Chazz said in a deep voice.

The situation on the field is absolutely unfavorable, and there is no means of counterattack in hand, but the LP is still abundant, and he still has a chance.

"Draw."

Seeing the newly drawn card, Chazz's eyes lit up.

"Heh, the goddess of victory is still on my side after all."

Chazz drew two cards from his hand, sent one to the Graveyard, and played one directly.

"Activate Spell Card 'Cost Down'! Discard a card from my hand, and all monster cards in my hand will have their level reduced by two stars this turn!"

Cost Down, reducing the tributes required for high-level monsters in hand, allowing them to be summoned directly. It is also a common means used by Seto Kaiba in DM.

"And, the hand I just discarded to activate the effect of 'Cost Down' is the Spell Card 'Compensated Treasure'. When this card is discarded from the hand to the Graveyard, draw two cards from the deck." (Original card)

Fujiki You Xuan: "."

The draw engine in the anime is indeed a monster, drawing cards at every turn, which would explode if placed in the physical card environment...

"According to the effect of 'Compensated Treasure', draw cards from the deck."

Ammunition was replenished again, and Chazz hooked the corners of his mouth, looking like he was getting better.

"You actually caused me quite a bit of trouble; it seems I underestimated you. But! It ends here."

Chazz raised his volume.

"According to the effect of 'Cost Down', the level of 'Imperial Dragon of the Wind' in my hand, which was originally Level 6, becomes 4, and it can be summoned directly without tributes.

Therefore, I Normal Summon this guy. Appear—

—Imperial Dragon of the Wind!"

A golden storm rolled up on the field, and appearing from the vortex was a kingly dragon in imperial gold, with golden flames attached to its body.

【Imperial Dragon of the Wind, ATK 2400】

"Your little tricks end here; in the duel of the elite, only strength is the key to victory!" Chazz raised his hand, "Go, Imperial Dragon of the Wind! Destroy 'Spirit-Eliminating Master - Sea Void'!"

The golden dragon opened its mouth, and a spiral impact sprayed from its mouth. The monk holding the prayer beads was immediately pierced and retired in the smoke with a bang.

【Fujiki You Xuan, LP1700 -> LP1100】

"Set another card on the field, turn end!"

Chazz took a deep breath.

Almost there, just a little bit more.

He had already regained the rhythm, and just a little bit more, he could break through the defense line of that hateful guy and give him a fatal blow.

Chazz himself might not have noticed that unconsciously, his mentality had changed from the "bullying the weak" psychology of "killing the opponent and advancing" to the state of "only one of us can stand and go out today."

It felt as if it had become a grudge match as they played.

He had never wanted to defeat the opposite side so unbearably as he did today.

Thinking of the scene where the opponent's LP would return to zero and be blasted to the ground by his full-fire holographic physical impact, he couldn't help but want to laugh out loud.

"My turn, draw," Fujiki You Xuan said calmly, "First, activate this Spell Card 'Harpie's Feather Duster' from my hand!"

A green storm rolled up, and the powerful wind pressure swept the entire field. Chazz had to protect his face with his arms, and the set card in the back row was also blown back into his hand.

This is one of the standard cards in Joey Wheeler's deck in DM, but it is also a forbidden card that has been in the "small black room" for many years in the physical card environment.

"Harpie's Feather Duster is a card that can blow all Spells and Traps on the field back to the owner's hand."

"Tch." Chazz looked at the set card that was bounced back into his hand and curled his lips.

The layout of the back row was disintegrated... but the problem shouldn't be big. Imperial Dragon of the Wind is a high-level monster with 2400 ATK, it shouldn't be so easy to break through.

And Imperial Dragon of the Wind also hides a powerful monster effect. When it is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, it can also bounce any monster on the field back to the owner's hand.

That is to say, even if the opponent really has the ability to make a big monster that surpasses Imperial Dragon of the Wind in the next turn, it will be immediately solved by this death effect after defeating Imperial Dragon of the Wind.

Chazz became more proud the more he thought about it.

The opponent only saw the set card in the back row and must have thought that he could sit back and relax after solving the trap. Little did he know that truly elite duels are all carefully considered; he set up double traps as insurance.

He has a great advantage!

"I summon 'Mystic Tomato' in Attack Position," Fujiki You Xuan continued.

【Mystic Tomato, ATK 1400】

Chazz sneered: "Heh, sure enough, you can only summon cannon fodder as wall monsters... Hmm?"

As he spoke, he found something wrong.

Wait, Mystic Tomato in Attack Position?

He suddenly had a bad premonition...

"Then activate the Spell Card from my hand..."

Fujiki You Xuan waved his right arm, and the image of the Spell Card popped up in front of him.

"Spell Card - Creature Swap! Both players must choose one monster on their field and exchange control!"

Chazz: "Nani!?"

Damn it, your deck is full of these things?

Can you duel properly?

"The monster I want to choose is of course this one on my field," Fujiki You Xuan pointed to the big tomato head on his field, "'Mystic Tomato.' Alright, you also choose the monster you want to exchange."

Chazz: "."

Heh, I choose your grandfather.

Obviously, Chazz had no choice at all; he only had one "Imperial Dragon of the Wind" on his field.

However, this Spell Card requires both players to choose, and even if there is only one option, the system cannot do it for the duelist. So Chazz could only look at his 2400 ATK big monster being taken to the opponent's field with tears in his eyes...

And exchanged it for a red, round tomato head.

Chazz turned his head to look, and even found that this tomato head was still grinning at him, as if it was mocking him mercilessly...

"Battle Phase," Fujiki You Xuan said, "Use 'Imperial Dragon of the Wind' to attack 'Mystic Tomato'."

The golden giant dragon opened its mouth, and the domineering dragon breath blasted through the small tomato, without any mercy for its owner a second ago. Mystic Tomato exploded into fragments, and the shockwave made Chazz stagger back half a step.

【Chazz, LP3300 -> LP2300】

"Damn it..." Chazz muttered through gritted teeth.

But this wasn't even over.

"Mystic Tomato, effect activates," Fujiki You Xuan waved his hand, "When Mystic Tomato is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard, I can Special Summon a Dark-attribute monster with 1500 or less ATK from the deck!"

Chazz: "!?"

Chazz is worthy of being a top student; he figured out what kind of situation this effect processing is in a turn.

In duel rules, even monsters whose control is temporarily changed through card effects are sent to the original owner's Graveyard when destroyed and sent to the Graveyard according to the rules.

The original owner of Mystic Tomato is Fujiki You Xuan, so even if the control is changed to Chazz's field, it will still enter Fujiki You Xuan's Graveyard when it is beaten down.

So when it is destroyed and the effect is processed, it is naturally Fujiki You Xuan who can Special Summon from the deck, not Chazz...

Chazz, who figured out this joint, had an even darker face.

Damn, I'm responsible for being beaten, and you're responsible for searching?

The monster was taken to the opposite side, the beating was done by himself, and the search was done by the opponent himself...

This feeling is not something a normal person who has stayed in the Underworld for ten years and a half can think of such a combo that makes people's blood pressure full.

But Chazz, who felt that this level was already Underworld-to-home, was obviously still too young.

Fujiki You Xuan pulled out the monster card searched from the deck.

"According to the effect of 'Mystic Tomato', I Special Summon this card from the deck—

—Don Zaloog!"

【Don Zaloog, ATK 1400】

"The Battle Phase is still continuing. Because it is a Special Summon in the Battle Phase, my 'Don Zaloog' can also continue to attack."

Fujiki You Xuan waved his hand and said.

"Attack Chazz directly."

The one-eyed leader coolly pulled out two revolvers, and the double guns fired one after another, and the virtual ammunition pierced through Chazz again.

"Ugh..." Chazz gritted his teeth and tried to stabilize his body.

【Chazz, LP2300 -> LP900】

"At this moment, the effect of 'Don Zaloog' activates," Fujiki You Xuan said, "When Zaloog deals battle damage to the opponent, you can randomly choose one of the opponent's cards in hand to discard.

What I want to destroy is the card on your right hand."

Zaloog's revolver fired again, and the ammunition pierced through one of Chazz's cards.

Chazz looked at the "Minefield Eruption" card that had a hole pierced in his hand, and suddenly felt dark in front of his eyes, feeling a bit like vomiting blood.

Minefield Eruption, a powerful trap that can destroy the monster with the highest ATK on the opponent's field when the opponent declares an attack. Many duelists rely on this thing to turn the tables when they are in a desperate situation.

Obviously, this is the card that was blown back to Chazz's hand by "Harpie's Feather Duster" just now, and it was smashed in his hand without any chance to exert its powerful power...

Chazz sank his face and sent Minefield Eruption to the Graveyard.

But there is still a chance.

He still has one last card in his hand.

Equip Spell, Premature Burial.

Pay 800 LP to revive a monster in your Graveyard, which is a god card for turning the tables in many cases.

But the problem is, Chazz has played until now, and there is not a single monster in his Graveyard; they were all kicked to another dimension by others...

"Main Phase 2," Fujiki You Xuan revealed another card in his hand, "Activate Spell Card 'The Forceful Sentry'. You can check the opponent's hand, choose one to return to the opponent's deck, and then shuffle the deck."

Chazz: "."

His face twitched, seeming to be trying to control the emotions that were about to run wild, and silently stuffed the last card in his hand back into the deck. But the expression of controlling facial muscles so hard made him look like he was performing some strange face art...

Just like that, Chazz's last card was sent back to the deck.

If it were a physical card competition, the game would have ended here. It is basically a daydream to turn the tables from this situation with a card drawn in the next turn. But considering the god-draws in desperate situations in the anime, Fujiki You Xuan still chose to stabilize.

"Set a card, turn end."

This is the last insurance he used to kill the game.

"My turn..."

Chazz gritted his teeth, staring at the card on top of the deck, only feeling his adrenaline soaring.

Being eliminated by a one-star newcomer with no resume, are you kidding me?

He, Chazz Princeton, has participated in countless competitions of all kinds, and although he can't always win the championship, this kind of experience is really unprecedented.

He cannot accept such humiliation, and the family probably cannot accept it either.

But it's not over yet!

He wants to bet everything on this card behind him!

"Draw!"

Glancing at the drawn card, Chazz's expression suddenly became complicated.

Graceful Charity.

Spell Card. You can draw three cards from the deck, then choose two cards in your hand to discard.

It is undoubtedly a god-draw in this desperate situation, and drawing three cards can increase the probability of him drawing a turnaround card.

However, this made him think of the "Premature Burial" that was just stuffed back into the deck with a headache. If Premature Burial was still in his hand, then with this "Graceful Charity," if he drew a high-level monster in the next three cards, he could throw it into the Graveyard through the effect of "Graceful Charity," and then use Premature Burial to pull it back to achieve a beautiful desperate turnaround...

Of course, because of that hellish "The Forceful Sentry" just now, this is already impossible.

Chazz suddenly found that the feeling of dueling with the guy in front of him was very strange. The whole process of the game made people feel a bit angry at first glance, and the more they thought about it, the more angry they became...

But this draw gave him a chance to continue operating. Chazz regrouped, raised his head and was about to activate the Spell Card, when he suddenly saw that the set card in the opponent's back row had been activated at some point.

Trap Card - Drop Off. Activate during the opponent's Draw Phase, the opponent must discard the drawn card directly to the Graveyard.

Chazz: "."

The trap of the final kill, Fujiki You Xuan's last insurance, even strangled the probability of god-draw in the cradle.

At this very moment, Senior Brother Sato Koji, who was watching from the front row, jumped out of his seat and slapped his thigh fiercely.

"I'm familiar with this! This is the taste!"
