Chapter 1129: Cards Are Dead, People Are Alive

Vetrix: "The effect of Timelord gained by Crest, make the opponent's Life Points half!"

Transparent ripples spread from Crest's attack, like invisible flame waves, and the light twisted and deformed wherever it passed. The strange red tide was reflected in Fujiki You Xuan's eyes; it was not fire, but energy completely identical to the blow of Timelord just now.

The heat wave swept across his body, his blood hissed as if evaporating, and his Life Points fell continuously like an hourglass roughly torn open by an invisible hand.

【Fujiki You Xuan, LP 1900 → LP 950】

Vetrix: "Hahaha, how is it? The effect of your own Timelord, are you enjoying it very much?"

"It's alright, just the level suitable for a warm-up." Fujiki You Xuan patted his clothes.

"Tch, still able to talk tough."

Vetrix was a bit unhappy again, but this time he didn't care too much. After all, he had just unlocked the hidden ace Crest and was in a good mood. At this moment, he felt that victory was already in his grasp, and he regarded the opponent's rudeness as just talking tough before death, so he didn't take it to heart.

"Set one card, turn end." Vetrix said.

Fujiki You Xuan: "Then my turn, draw."

He looked at the card he drew, and the corners of his mouth lifted slightly imperceptibly. Then he added the drawn card to his hand, while revealing another monster card.

"When there are no monsters on my field, I can Tribute Summon a Level 10 or higher monster from my hand without Tributes."

"Come, Timelord Raphael!"

The sky suddenly made a crisp sound of glass breaking, and an invisible storm rotated into shape in mid-air, and the air was twisted into a spiral transparent vortex. The center of the cyclone came with the metal roar of gears biting, and dazzling white light erupted from the depths, and in the loud noise of air pressure explosion, a majestic green giant flapped its wings and descended, stepping on the fragments of time and space.

【Timelord Raphael, ATK 0】

"Muda muda muda!"

Vetrix laughed loudly.

"No matter how many Timelords you summon, no matter what abilities your Timelord has, it's useless in front of Crest!"

Only to see Crest's body erupt with red light again, and the energy overflowing from the body turned into a burning magic claw. That claw reached directly into Timelord Raphael's body, and Raphael's figure immediately dimmed, and the flames on its shoulders were extinguished.

That magic claw seemed to pull out the soul-like energy from Timelord's body, and dragged it back into Crest's body. Timelord's body immediately dimmed.

"Your Timelord's effect is mine again!" Vetrix laughed. "Just wait for death with that blank slate with 0 ATK!"

Judai also said solemnly: "Indeed, as long as that Crest is there, this Timelord deck is completely countered. Even if you summon a more powerful Timelord, if the effect is negated, it's just a 0 ATK blank slate."

"Not only that, the Continuous Trap 'Empty Machine' prepared for summoning Timelord will also turn the ATK of all monsters on my field to 0, so even if I can manage to summon other high-ATK monsters, I can't break through..."

"It really looks like it's been countered to death." Yubel said calmly. "But don't worry, the only thing countered to death is this deck."

Judai wondered: "What do you mean?"

"Cards are dead, people are alive. And look at this bastard, does he look nervous at all?" Yubel said unpleasantly.

Judai: "..."

Although Yubel spoke very impolitely, this was a fact. Fujiki You Xuan really didn't look nervous... No, to be precise, Judai probably hadn't seen Fujiki You Xuan nervous in his impression. "Battle." Fujiki You Xuan said. "Timelord Raphael, attack 'No. 69 Heraldic God, Crest'."

Vetrix was surprised: "Your Timelord's effect is useless, still want to attack even so?"

If Timelord crashed into Crest, Fujiki You Xuan would have to take 2600 points of damage from Crest's ATK at once. But Fujiki You Xuan's Life Points were only 1450 at this time, so if the attack passed, he would lose.

But Vetrix wasn't naive enough to think that this person would do such a suicidal thing.

There must be a problem!

Just a moment of hesitation, Vetrix waved his hand and shouted: "Then I activate the other hidden effect of 'No. 69 Heraldic God, Crest'!"

"When the opponent's monster declares an attack, detach one Xyz Material from this card, and destroy one card on the opponent's field!"

Judai: "Eh, it actually hid such a powerful ability!?"

Yubel also said solemnly: "It already has such a powerful ability to negate and steal the effects of all monsters on the field, and it actually hides a card-destroying ability..."

"By the way, it is also 'Number' itself, so it has the power to not be destroyed by monsters other than 'Number'..."

Sure enough, the more you think about this thing, the more you feel it's a bit outrageous.

However, Yubel didn't even know that the animation effect of Crest also hid another ability that hadn't been shown. The animation Crest cannot be destroyed by any card effects.

The battle destruction resistance that comes with Number, effect resistance, full-field effect plundering, plus a trigger-type card-destroying ability—this is why it is said that the animation Crest is an ace that is absolutely worthy of the BOSS card face. Compared with it, the physical card Crest can be said to have been completely cut into knife-cut noodles, and it is no longer the same species.

Vetrix laughed: "The effect of Crest, detach one material. I don't care what you are planning, but your Timelord will be smashed to pieces!"

One Xyz Material was sucked into Crest's body, and then thousands of lasers shot toward Timelord, as if to tear it into pieces.

"Then activate Quick-Play Magic 'Forbidden Chalice' from my hand!"

Fujiki You Xuan revealed his hole card.

"This card can negate the effect of one monster on the field, and the target monster's ATK increases by 400!"

Vetrix's smile froze instantly: "ATK increases, effect negated? You want to..."

"Exactly, I want to give your Crest 400 ATK." Fujiki You Xuan smiled.

【No. 69 Heraldic God, Crest, ATK 2600 → ATK 3000】

"How is it? In this way, Crest has the ATK to rival the legendary Blue-Eyes White Dragon." Fujiki You Xuan smiled. "You're welcome."

"Tch." Vetrix pouted.

In this way, Crest's effect also became negated, and the ability to plunder the effects of other monsters on the field disappeared. In other words, Timelord's ability returned to being effective.

Of course, because it was activated on the same chain as his Crest's "destroy one card on the field" effect, the effect was already negated when Crest's effect was processed, so it couldn't destroy Timelord either.

The battle continued.

"Timelord cannot be destroyed by battle, and battle damage dealt to me is 0." Fujiki You Xuan narrowed his eyes. "And Raphael's effect is, return the monster that battled this card to the owner's hand, and inflict damage to the opponent equal to that monster's ATK!" ===== CHAPTER 1130 =====
