Chapter 1139: Kusanagi

Fujiki You Xuan: "Set one more card, turn end."

Go-sh let out a light breath.

The fact that the other party also used Xyz Summoning really surprised him; he had originally thought that this dimension should still be stuck in a relatively primitive version, and by comparison, Xyz Summoning should be considered high-tech stuff that primitive people couldn't play.

Well, but being able to Xyz Summon wouldn't change anything. Anyway, he was always focused on his own duel, moving forward, crushing his opponent with a heart of hot blood and the duel of power.

"My turn, draw card!"

Go-sh drew a card, paused slightly, and his gaze swept over the Set card on Fujiki You Xuan's back row.

In the last turn, the other party recovered the Trap card 'Traphole of Piercing' from the Graveyard, and one of them was that Traphole again. As long as a monster summoned within the turn attacked, it would be destroyed, and he would also have to suffer damage equal to half its ATK...

Son of a bitch, just thinking about it makes me angry. How could someone specifically design a deck to revolve around searching and recovering an insidious series like 'Traphole'?

Just how boring must a brain circuit be to think of a deck with such poor spirit?

But it doesn't matter, he still has a countermeasure.

There's a trap in the back row, placed there for him to step on, that's fine; since that's the case, I'll step on it for you to see.

He, Go-sh, has always moved forward and never feared; no matter what kind of hardships and obstacles are on the road ahead, he never retreats.

You like digging holes, right? Watch me crush it directly with the invincible Heroic power!

Go-sh quickly played another Magic card.

"Activate Equip Magic 'Xyz Crown'!" Go-sh said. "Equip to 'Heroic Champion - Excalibur'!" (Original card)

A layer of faint golden light covered Excalibur, like a golden coat worn on Excalibur. The next moment, Excalibur actually split into two, and horse and rider split into two.

Fujiki You Xuan guessed the effect from this magic special effect: "Let me guess, a Magic card that allows Xyz monsters to perform Xyz Summoning again?"

"Exactly!" Go-sh said. "'Xyz Crown' can only be equipped to an Xyz Summoned monster.

The equipped Xyz monster becomes the same level as its rank, and when performing an Xyz Summon, one monster can be treated as two Xyz materials!"

As he said this, he played another card in his hand.

"Then I Normal Summon 'Heroic Challenger - Sword Shield'!"

The warrior who appeared was in green armor, his whole body, including his head, wrapped in armor like a medieval knight. His name was Sword Shield, but he wasn't a traditional swordsman holding a sword in one hand and a shield in the other, but held a strange weapon that combined sword and shield. In the center was a huge shield, but there were sword blades on both the top and bottom sides of the shield.

【Heroic Challenger - Sword Shield, ATK 0】

"Then I overlay the 'Heroic Champion - Excalibur', which has become Level 4 and is treated as two monsters, and 'Heroic Challenger - Sword Shield'!"

"Construct the Overlay Network with materials treated as three monsters, Xyz Summon! Appear—

—Heroic Champion - Kusanagi!!!"

A red-gold beam of light erupted from the Xyz vortex, and eight crimson energy prisms seemed to condense in the air. The fighting spirit-like light condensed into the body of a samurai; he was wrapped in over-forged red copper armor, and the red glow like molten iron flickered with the rhythm of his breathing.

When the samurai slowly straightened his body, the bronze bell hanging from his waist made a clear sound. He gripped the sword hilt at his waist, which was the legendary divine artifact known as 'Ame-no-Murakumo'. The blade of the Kusanagi suddenly erupted with liquid-like flames, and tongues of fire climbed along the sword spine into constantly changing totems. When the samurai pointed the tip of his sword to the sky, those flames suddenly turned into countless red sword lights and shot out, reorganizing into a burning sun phantom in mid-air.

【Heroic Champion - Kusanagi, ATK 2500】

"Heroic Champion won't stop because of a mere one or two traps; my spirit is far more than this level!" Go-sh shouted. "Heroic Champion - Kusanagi, attack 'Traptrix Rafflesia'!" Kusanagi swung his sword violently, and the blade erupted with lava-like crimson flowing light. Flames condensed into a burning full moon around him, and the phantom of the Kusanagi appeared in the center of the moon wheel. The moment the sword energy left the sheath, space was distorted by high temperature into water-like ripples, and a sharp sound like silk tearing echoed in the air.

The onlookers were surprised: "Knowing that the King has a trap in the back row, he still attacks..."

"Interesting." Fujiki You Xuan also smiled and said, "Then as you wish.

Activate Set card, Trap card 'Traphole of Piercing'!"

Kusanagi stepped out, but the moment he took a step, a transparent pit appeared under his feet. That deep pit was filled with sharp blades, and one step into the void meant being pierced by ten thousand swords.

"Traphole of Piercing destroys the attacking monster summoned this turn..." Fujiki You Xuan said. "The rest doesn't need to be said, right?"

"Hmph, I know. But do you think the same trick will work on me again!?"

Go-sh shouted.

"Heroic Champion - Kusanagi's effect activates!

When a Trap card is activated, by detaching one Xyz material from 'Heroic Champion - Kusanagi', negate the activation and effect of the Trap card, and after that, this card's ATK increases by 500 points!"

While speaking, one of the two materials circling his side had already been absorbed into the sword blade swung by Kusanagi, and the radiated burning sword energy fell on the Trap card in Fujiki You Xuan's back row; the Traphole of Piercing immediately burned with flames, turning into sparks in the blink of an eye.

【Heroic Champion - Kusanagi, ATK 2500 -> ATK 3000】

The onlookers were shocked: "Countered the Trap, and even turned around to increase its own power! This guy..."

"I see, then this is indeed the most suitable monster to face my 'Traptrix'." Fujiki You Xuan nodded and said.

The Traptrix deck itself relied on Trap scheduling and constant interruption of the opponent's actions to fight, and had no strong attack capability itself. Being able to constantly negate Traps and absorb them into its own power, it was no exaggeration to call it the nemesis of Traptrix.

But Fujiki You Xuan didn't care, and continued: "Then activate Set card, Trap card 'Traptrix Traphole'.

When an opponent's monster Special Summoned this turn activates an effect, negate that monster's effect and destroy it!"

Using a Trap to counter-negate the Trap's counter!

One pit was just solved and another appeared; the Traphole of Piercing had just disappeared, and a new Traphole opened under Kusanagi's feet, like a bloody mouth waiting for him to fall into it.

Double Traphole!

But Go-sh was still fearless: "Then activate 'Heroic Champion - Kusanagi's' effect again!

When a Trap card is activated, detach an Xyz material to negate the activation and effect!"

Kusanagi swung the blade in his hand, and the burning sword energy surged out, burning the Traptrix Traphole to ashes as well.

The onlookers were all shocked: "Such an ability actually doesn't have a once-per-turn limit!?" ===== CHAPTER 1140 =====
