Chapter 1143: Activate from Deck

500 Life Points or less to attack; such a restriction might be slightly stronger in the anime—after all, anime characters all have plot armor, and they wouldn't know how to play without plot armor. But if this restriction were retained in the physical card, it would be too difficult to use, and there would absolutely be no chance of entering the competitive environment.

So, all in all, the physical card was actually considered a buff.

Excalibur's landing seemed to have a different style from those previous Heroics, and Go-sh's "momentum" seemed to rise with it. Clearly, for a duelist who was so keen on hot-blooded mutual-clashing, the appearance of a trump card also had a more significant boost to himself, as if naturally having a buff of "entrusting victory or defeat to the soul monster."

Well, even if Excalibur was summoned at this critical moment, Go-sh's Battle Phase had already passed, and he couldn't attack again this turn.

Fujiki You Xuan looked directly at Excalibur: "The momentum is good, but it's a pity, appearing now is probably a bit late, right?"

"Set one card, turn end." Go-sh said.

Not over yet, it hadn't ended.

He still had a counter-attack for reversal, entrusted to Excalibur!

Fujiki You Xuan: "My turn, draw card."

"I also activate Magic card 'Xyz Treasure', draw cards from the deck according to the number of Xyz monsters on the field. There are two Xyz monsters on the field now, I draw two cards from the deck."

Fujiki You Xuan: "Activate Magic card 'Overlay Reborn'. After this card is activated, it can be overlaid under an Xyz monster on my field as an Xyz material to be reborn."

Fujiki You Xuan pointed to the Rafflesia in front of him.

"Let this card become an Xyz material for 'Traptrix Rafflesia'."

"Then I summon 'Traptrix Antlion'."

Another Antlion was summoned to the field, and the Traptrix loli came to the field yawning lazily. At the same time, golden light shone on Fujiki You Xuan's deck, and a card was automatically ejected into his hand.

"Traptrix Antlion's effect, when successfully summoned, add a 'Hole' or 'Traphole' Normal Trap card from the deck to the hand."

Fujiki You Xuan showed the eye-catching red trap card that popped out of the deck.

"Add Trap card 'Bottomless Traphole' from the deck to the hand."

Bottomless Traphole, a classic old card of the Traphole series, old but practical. It could directly banish all monsters with 1500 or more ATK to another dimension when they were successfully summoned, very powerful.

Go-sh narrowed his eyes.

Here it comes again, endless Trapholes... But it's just added to the hand, it can't be activated this turn. Although tricky, it's just a trouble that he needs to worry about in his next turn.

Fujiki You Xuan: "Then change 'Traptrix Rafflesia' from Defense Position to Attack Position."

The Rafflesia that had been closed unfolded, revealing the several Traptrix girls hidden inside. The girls revealed teasing eyes, seemingly trying to lure the opponent into attacking rashly and stepping into a deadly trap.

【Traptrix Rafflesia, DEF 2500 -> ATK 300】

Go-sh was stunned.

300 ATK, changed to Attack Position? Wanting to lure me into attacking with this?

But even if it were said to be bait, such bait was too low-end. Would anyone really step into a pit that was almost written with the words "this is a trap" on its face?

But the other party's next operation surprised him even more.

"Battle." Fujiki You Xuan said. "Traptrix Rafflesia, attack 'Heroic Champion - Excalibur'!"

Go-sh: "!"

Actually said attack!?

Excalibur's ATK was 2000, and if the battle passed, it would be 1700 damage. Although it wasn't fatal, such self-abusive behavior still made people feel it was meaningless.

"Although I don't know what you're planning, but..."

Go-sh's pupils contracted.

"At this moment, Excalibur's effect! When this card battles, detach two Xyz materials to double this card's ATK!" (Anime effect)

Excalibur's two swords were drawn together, and the two circling Xyz materials were absorbed into the twin blades, endless power blooming, making the entire Excalibur look as if he were burning!

【Heroic Champion - Excalibur, ATK 2000 -> ATK 4000】

"No matter what follow-up you're planning, this sword will bring an end!" Go-sh shouted. "Excalibur, cut it off for me!"

The Heroic Champion's blade slashed out, carrying Go-sh's indomitable hot blood!

That was the trump card that had even clashed with Utopia, the originator of high-speed attacks, in the anime; it was the hot-blooded soul of a man standing tall on the dueling field, willing to offer everything to find an opponent worthy of the sword in his hand.

This was like a swordsman who had dedicated everything to the way of the sword, sparing no cost to find an opponent who could rival him.

But for such a swordsman, the cruelest thing was probably that when he slashed out his proud sword, thinking he had finally found an opponent worthy of his sword...

The other side suddenly pulled out a gun.

"... Quick-Play Magic 'Rush Recklessly'." Fujiki You Xuan played the Magic card in his hand calmly. "Declare an attribute, select a face-up monster on your field. This turn, if that monster battles an opponent's monster with the declared attribute, destroy the opponent's monster directly at the start of the Damage Step without performing damage calculation."

He pointed to Excalibur.

"I choose my 'Traptrix Rafflesia', and the declared attribute is, of course, Excalibur's 'Light Attribute'."

Go-sh: "..."

A soul-stirring blow from a hot-blooded man, a swordsman's proud sword, hit the head of a loli with only 300 ATK.

Crack.

The sword shattered.

At the same time, the romance of a swordsman also shattered.

Sir, the times have changed.

Knife fighting? Comparing ATK? Doesn't exist.

However, even in the face of the crumbling trump card, in the face of the Excalibur blade shattered into ten thousand pieces.

The flames in the man's eyes still hadn't extinguished.

"I know, I knew it all along..." Go-sh said to himself.

Fujiki You Xuan tilted his head: "Hm?"

"Hehe... Excalibur has 4000 ATK, and your deck is a type that completely avoids head-on battle, so the possibility of avoiding battle and using effect destruction was originally very high... Did you think I hadn't calculated this!?"

Go-sh's voice suddenly rose, shouting at the top of his lungs.

"But I still have this card!

Trap card 'Reborn Puzzle'!"

His last line of defense, the last insurance he laid down because he calculated that the other party would use effect destruction to break through Excalibur!

"Reborn Puzzle Special Summons that monster to the field when a monster on your field is destroyed by a card effect!"

The shattered fragments began to attract each other as if by magnetism, and the sky full of fragments reassembled like a rewound puzzle. In the blink of an eye, the towering Excalibur had been reborn, just like a swordsman who was unwilling to be eliminated by the times and insisted on holding his broken sword!

【Heroic Champion - Excalibur, ATK 2000】

Go-sh's eyes were still sharp, still like a beast with flames in its eyes.

The other party had searched for a Bottomless Traphole, but it was still in the hand and couldn't be activated this turn. The back row also had no Set cards, and couldn't stop Excalibur's revival.

At this time, the Rafflesia on the opponent's field that had gained the 'Rush Recklessly' buff had already attacked, and the remaining Traptrix Antlion didn't have the ATK to break through Excalibur. This turn was held on.

His duel hadn't ended yet, he could still continue...

Fujiki You Xuan was expressionless: "Then I activate Trap card 'Bottomless Traphole' from the deck, destroying monsters with 1500 or more ATK when they are successfully summoned and banishing them from the game."

Go-sh: "???"

No, wait, you spoke too fast, I didn't hear clearly...

What the hell?

Activate Bottomless Traphole from the deck?

Huh?

Go-sh almost turned into a black man question mark face.

"You destroyed Rafflesia's Xyz material with Overlay Break in the last turn, very cautious, and also a very correct choice. If it weren't for that, your Excalibur wouldn't have been able to appear on the field at all in the last turn."

Fujiki You Xuan explained with a smile.

"Traptrix Rafflesia's effect is, once per turn, detach an Xyz material, you can send a 'Hole' or 'Traphole' Trap card from the deck to the Graveyard, and then this card's effect becomes the same as the effect of that Trap card when it is activated."

Go-sh: "..."

The hot-blooded man was speechless.

Searching for Trapholes from the deck, he endured it. Repeatedly recovering various Trapholes, he also endured it.

But what is this direct activation from the deck?

Why can someone activate Trapholes from the deck? How can there be such a deck in the world? How can there be such a duelist?

However, no amount of grievances and anger could change the fact that Excalibur was ultimately destroyed and shattered in the Traphole of the dimension. Even if he had another "Reborn Puzzle," it couldn't be saved, because his Excalibur was directly sent to another dimension...

"Battle Phase is still continuing."

The Lord of the Yellow Robe had no expression, no emotion, and no mercy.

"Traptrix Antlion, direct attack."
