Chapter 1224: Giga-Cricket

"Giant Hand's effect, negate 'Inzektor Dragonfly's' effect!"

Alito shouted loudly.

"Stinky bugs, hurry up and disappear!"

As the words fell, the palm of the giant hand burst out with restraining energy, locking onto Dragonfly from afar. Dragonfly's armor burst with transparent arcs all over its body, making a crackling sound, as if it were malfunctioning or short-circuiting.

The phantom of Hornet, which had already been pulled out of the Graveyard halfway, disappeared again, and after a sit-up, it lay back in the Graveyard. Dragonfly's armor became dim, and the color seemed to have become much deeper, looking as if its power was restrained and it had no ability to display.

Alito sneered: "Inzektor Dragonfly, it seems that this is the core of your pile of bugs, right? Heh, then now, without the effect of this card, how will you fight?"

Fujiki You Xuan expressionlessly played another card from his hand: "Then I Normal Summon 'Inzektor Dragonfly', Unit 2."

The second Dragonfly was slapped onto the Duel Disk, and the data-stream-like special effects condensed into red armor. The mechanical structure deformed and assembled into a firearm form, landing steadily in Dragonfly's hand, the scope locking onto the target.

【Inzektor Dragonfly, ATK 1000】

Alito: "."

Seeing this thing now, he already felt annoyed in his heart.

"Inzektor Dragonfly, Unit 2's effect activates," Fujiki You Xuan said. "Dragonfly, once per turn, uses an 'Inzektor' monster from my hand or Graveyard as an Equip Card."

"I once again equip 'Inzektor Hornet' from the Graveyard to Dragonfly."

Hornet, which had just failed to equip, appeared again, transformed, and immediately locked onto the firearm armament on Dragonfly's hand.

Then it can be foreseen that next will be blowing up cards, searching, blowing up cards, and searching again...

"It's the same no matter how many times you do it!" Alito roared. "Activate 'Number 104: Giant Hand's' effect again! When a monster on the opponent's field activates an effect, remove one Xyz Material, target any one monster on the opponent's field, and negate the monster's effect!"

Yes, Giant Hand's effect does not have a "once per turn" limit.

Although the physical card Giant Hand also didn't say "once per turn," every time this effect is activated, it requires removing two Xyz Materials to use. And Giant Hand only has two materials in total, so it can basically be regarded as being permanently usable only once after being summoned to the field.

But the anime version only requires removing one material to activate this effect, which means Giant Hand can negate two monsters in one turn.

In addition, Giant Hand is not the kind of negation that lasts "until the end of the turn"; this effect is maintained as long as Giant Hand exists on the field. In other words, if you don't defeat Giant Hand, Dragonfly will remain in a blank state forever.

But in this way, both of Giant Hand's Xyz Materials have been consumed, and its effect cannot be used again.

"Then, activate Quick-Play Spell 'Double Cyclone'," Fujiki You Xuan said. "This card can target one Magic or Trap card on both my and the opponent's field, and destroy the selected cards."

"The one I choose from my field is 'Inzektor Giga-Mantis' existing as an Equip Card."

"At the same time, destroy the Equip Spell 'Guardian of Order' on your field."

As Fujiki You Xuan spoke, red and yellow dual-colored cyclones rolled up on the field, one flying toward his own field and one toward the opposite side.

The mantis armament originally equipped on the first Dragonfly quickly disintegrated and exploded, decomposing into the sky full of light particles in the storm.

But the Guardian of Order on Alito's field was not swept into the storm; instead, another set card in the backrow was swept up by the storm, flipped and rotated several times, and revealed its true appearance. "Hehe, at this moment, I activated the Trap Card 'Pandora's Treasure'," Alito waved his large hand. "This card can be activated when a set Magic or Trap card on my backrow becomes the target of the opponent's card effect."

"Let that effect target transfer to this card, and then I draw from the deck..."

He drew two cards with a clatter.

"... two cards!"

Alito drew two new cards, then mocked and sneered: "Heh, it's a pity, not only was your monster's offensive all resolved, but even the Magic was only used to destroy your own equipment..."

"Is it possible that this was my purpose?" Fujiki You Xuan smiled.

Alito: "What?"

"The moment it was destroyed, Inzektor Giga-Mantis's effect also activated," Fujiki You Xuan said. "When this card equipped to a monster is sent to the Graveyard, I can select any 'Inzektor' monster in my Graveyard other than Giga-Mantis, and Special Summon that monster."

A monster card popped out from Fujiki You Xuan's Graveyard, which he drew into his hand and showed.

"I Special Summon 'Inzektor Giga-Cricket' from the Graveyard!"

The new Inzektor armor landed on the ground, and the alloy feet stepped out deep footprints on the ground. The armor unfolded, and the beetle warrior waved the armament on the back of its hand, the five fingers of the armor were all spinning drills, splitting the air and bursting out transparent air waves.

【Inzektor Giga-Cricket, ATK 2000】

Alito frowned: "Is it to summon this thing?"

But this monster, although it is a high-level monster, its ATK is only 2000, and even without the blessing of Guardian of Order, this ATK is only equal to Giant Hand.

"It's to break the Guardian of Order, so that Giant Hand's ATK can return to its original value, so that you can have more opportunities to attack, right?"

Alito sneered.

"But it's a pity, it failed to destroy Guardian of Order, so this combination is equivalent to being resolved. In the next turn, my Giant Hand will surely crush your defense line..."

Fujiki You Xuan tilted his head: "Did anyone say anything about defense?"

Alito: "Nani?"

"You seem to think that I summoned Giga-Cricket for defense... it's really troublesome to think so." Fujiki You Xuan smiled, waved his hand, and played another card. "Then I then activate Spell Card 'Gear Shift'!

This card allows all monsters on my field to have their levels become the same as the monster with the highest level on my field!" (Anime card)

A card once used by Tenjo Kaito in the anime.

Alito: "The highest level monster on the field... is it for this purpose that you summoned Giga-Cricket?"

"Not bad, in this way, Inzektor Dragonfly's level becomes the same as Giga-Cricket, both are Level 5," Fujiki You Xuan said calmly. "Then I overlay Level 5 'Inzektor Dragonfly' and 'Inzektor Giga-Cricket'!" ===== CHAPTER 1225 =====
