Chapter 1256

Double, double, and double again!

【Infection Fly, LV 1 → LV 2 → LV 4 → LV 8】x3

Three consecutive doublings made all the 1-star trash flies instantly become 8-star big monsters.

"Next, I stack the three 'Infection Flies' that have become 8 stars! Three monsters build an overlay network, Xyz Summon!"

Mr. Heartland opened his arms, as if in an embrace, and laughed loudly.

"It's here, it's here! I felt it, the power bestowed upon me by Don Thousand, Don Thousand's aura is surging in my blood vessels!"

"The deep black wing sound echoes in the fantasy, the incredible King of Flies! Appear—"

"—Number 1: Infection Fly King Beelzebub!!!"

A pair of compound eyes lit up with terrifying red light in the depths of the purple-black clouds, like a giant fly that had obtained a human body, descending like a giant, with three purple-black materials swirling around it.

【Number 1: Infection Fly King Beelzebub, ATK 3000】

Number 1, just from this number 1, it can be seen that it is definitely extraordinary. Even if it is a fake version, this number can represent its strength and status in the Number series.

Not to mention the harsh summoning conditions of three 8-star monsters, which is enough to prove that it is a big brother capable of being a trump card.

"Ho... Don Thousand gave you Number 1, this is interesting." Fujiki Fujiki You Xuan said.

"Your leisure should end here!" Mr. Heartland shouted, "When this card is successfully Xyz Summoned, I can check the opponent's Extra Deck and send one card from it to the Graveyard!"

"A card effect that can target the Extra Deck." ZONE nodded in the device, "This is a rare ability."

"Come, let me see your Extra Deck."

Mr. Heartland narrowed his eyes, and the monsters in the Extra Deck were projected in front of him.

"Ho... your Extra Deck seems to have a quite extraordinary monster, it seems I must eliminate this threat first."

Mr. Heartland pointed at one of the cards and shouted.

"Send 'Number 69: Heraldry Crest' to the Graveyard."

The wings behind the Infection Fly King accelerated their flapping, and a transparent energy vortex exploded around it. A beam of purple light flew up from Fujiki Fujiki You Xuan's Extra Deck, circled twice in mid-air, and then plunged into the vortex of the Graveyard.

This time Heraldry Crest didn't get a chance to appear and went to the Graveyard in advance.

Xyz monsters have summoning restrictions. If they enter the Graveyard without being summoned normally, they cannot be revived. And even if there are some strange means to ignore the summoning restrictions and revive, the Xyz monsters revived from the Graveyard have no overlay units, and it is meaningless to revive them.

So this move can basically be equivalent to banning Heraldry Crest. Unless you can recover it from the Graveyard to the Extra Deck and then perform a normal summon, but that is too cumbersome.

"Well, my turn ends here for now," Mr. Heartland laughed gloomily. "The effect of Infection Fly King is far more than this. You can slowly experience it with your body, the terrible Number 1, Number 1!"

"It's like this is the real Number 1..." Fujiki Fujiki You Xuan said, "My turn, draw."

Fujiki Fujiki You Xuan's fingertips lightly brushed across the edge of the six cards he drew, and soon selected one of them.

"Then come on, first summon this card."

"Traptrix Myrmeleo in Attack Position."

The Traptrix girl was summoned to the field, the giant orchid petals bloomed, like a throne. The petite girl sat in the pistil, her bare feet dangling in the air.

【Traptrix Myrmeleo, ATK 1500】

"When Traptrix Myrmeleo is successfully summoned, add a 'Traptrix' monster from my deck to my hand."

A card popped out of Fujiki Fujiki You Xuan's deck, and he clamped it with two fingers and drew it out.

"Add 'Traptrix Mantis' from the deck to my hand," Fujiki Fujiki You Xuan showed the Traptrix in his hand. "Then the monster effect of 'Traptrix Mantis', this card can be Special Summoned from the hand if there is a 'Traptrix' monster on my field."

"I Special Summon 'Traptrix Mantis' from my hand."

Fujiki Fujiki You Xuan slapped the monster card in his hand onto the Duel Disk. A green light surged on the field, and the green-haired Traptrix girl came to the field with a sick-looking giggle.

【Traptrix Mantis, ATK 1300】

"Level 4 'Traptrix Myrmeleo' and 'Traptrix Mantis' stack, two monsters build an overlay network, Xyz Summon—"

"—Traptrix Rafflesia!"

The two girls turned into two-colored beams and spiraled into the sky, falling to the ground intertwined. The spiral overlay network erupted with tidal energy, and colorful, pure and lovely Traptrix girls appeared, and the air seemed to be filled with sweet and greasy breath instantly.

【Traptrix Rafflesia, DEF 2500】

"Oh, Xyz Summon immediately." Mr. Heartland said, "But the rare Xyz is a defensive monster, still just consolidating defense. Hehe, although you don't say it, you are still afraid of the power bestowed by Don Thousand, right? Hahahaha—"

"Yeah, yeah, I'm so scared, so you have to show mercy,"

Fujiki Fujiki You Xuan smiled and inserted two more hand cards into the backrow.

"Then I'll set two cards, and the turn ends."

Two set cards appeared in his backrow Spell/Trap zone.

Mr. Heartland triumphed: "Don't worry, I'll end this very quickly. My turn, draw!"

"Activate the Spell card 'Pot of Magic', both sides draw three cards from the deck."

He drew the cards, and before he could even add the drawn cards to his hand, he raised his hand and ordered impatiently: "Number 1: Infection Fly King Beelzebub, effect activate!"

"Once per turn, I can choose one monster with 'Number' in its name in the opponent's Graveyard, and stack that monster under this card as an overlay unit to absorb it!" (Original effect)

The real card has greatly strengthened this effect. In the anime, it is limited to absorbing Numbers as materials, and if the opponent is not a Number user, this effect becomes a joke. And the real card can absorb any card in the opponent's Graveyard at will every turn.

Although Fujiki Fujiki You Xuan did not summon a Number, there was already "Number 69: Heraldry Crest" sent to the Graveyard by Mr. Heartland in the previous turn.

But seeing the wings of Infection Fly King flap again, purple-black energy like tentacles that were not real or fake stabbed directly into Fujiki Fujiki You Xuan's Graveyard. Half a second later, Heraldry Crest was bound by the tentacles, forcibly dragged out from the vortex of the Graveyard, and dragged back to Mr. Heartland's field, swirling around Infection Fly King as an overlay unit.

"Hahaha, in this way, even if you want to recover Heraldry Crest from the Graveyard to the Extra Deck and perform an Xyz, you can't do it!" Mr. Heartland laughed loudly, "Numbers can only be defeated by Numbers, but in front of Infection Fly King, you can't even summon a Number!"

Fujiki Fujiki You Xuan read in a emotionless tone: "Oh my, that's really terrible."

However, he didn't intend to recover Heraldry Crest from the Graveyard in the first place... No, it should be said that he didn't bring any cards with that effect in his deck today. So he didn't care at all that the opponent absorbed it.

"The terror of Infection Fly King is just about to begin!" Mr. Heartland laughed gloomily, "Number 1: Infection Fly King Beelzebub, another effect activate!"

"Once per turn, remove one overlay unit, and I can destroy any one card on the opponent's field!"

"And, if the card chosen by this effect is a monster card, I can further deal damage to the opponent equal to the ATK of that monster!" (Original effect)
