Chapter 1273: Soul Puppet Master

"'Inzektor Centipede's' direct attack!"

Fujiki You Xuan ordered, Centipede flew up, and the giant pincers in its hand slashed down with a silver arc.

Don Thousand's clone didn't dodge or evade, just stood still and took the blow. Centipede's impact caused his body to slide back slightly due to inertia, but he immediately stabilized, seemingly not taking such a degree of impact and pain to heart at all.

"Good! The attack passed!" Jack said. "Fujiki You Xuan still has 'Inzektor Dragonfly' whose ATK has become 2400 that hasn't attacked. As long as Dragonfly's attack also passes next..."

"One-turn kill!" Crow also said. "This is too strong!"

"Fujiki You Xuan..." Akiza had her usual admiring face.

At this moment, she only thought in her heart that this man's strength truly had no limits; even if the opponent was a god, he could still easily kill it in seconds like this.

"Inzektor Dragonfly, direct attack," Fujiki You Xuan said again.

At the same time, he also revealed a playful expression with a bit of expectation.

Don Thousand's clone, would he be finished off by this degree?

Or...

"Activate set card." Sure enough, Don Thousand's clone's back row reacted. "Continuous Trap 'Damage Pot'! Can be activated when battle damage occurs, and can make the battle damage caused to both players by that battle become 0!" (Anime card)

A huge pot-like object squeezed out from Don Thousand's clone's Trap Card image, the top of the pot popped open, revealing a slit.

At this time, Dragonfly's arms gained mantis weapons, transforming from long-range to melee, flew forward and slashed with its blade. But as the blade fell, it hit a transparent golden barrier, all the impact was absorbed, and it was transformed into streams of light and pulled into that Damage Pot.

The pot lid closed, the slit disappeared, and all the damage was absorbed and sealed into that giant pot.

"Ha, as expected, it's not that easy to finish off Lord Don Thousand." Fujiki You Xuan smiled, not in a hurry, and inserted three more cards from his hand into the Duel Disk slots. "Then, I set three more cards in the back row."

Three pitch-black set cards appeared in the back row, and Fujiki You Xuan's back row was instantly left with only the last area. He quickly showed one more Spell in his hand, occupying that last Magic/Trap area.

"Continuous Spell 'Nightmare's Mirage'. This card can allow me to draw cards from the deck until it becomes four cards during the Standby Phase of the opponent's turn," Fujiki You Xuan's Continuous Spell in the back row appeared, and the pale golden light refracted the air and distorted the space. "It's just that in the Standby Phase of my next turn, I need to randomly discard hand cards corresponding to the number of cards drawn through this card's effect."

"Turn end."

The moment the words "turn end" came out of his mouth, Don Thousand's clone shouted sharply: "At the moment of your End Phase, activate set card!

Trap Card 'Corpse Union Star'!" (Anime card)

A new trap activated, and then "No. 70 Deadly Sin Spider," which had been defeated this turn, actually appeared on Don Thousand's clone's field again. It was just that the Deadly Sin Spider that appeared this time had a transparent body, like a ghost.

"'Corpse Union Star' can only be activated during the End Phase of the turn when a 'Number' monster on my field is destroyed; I can select one Rank 4 or lower Fiend-Type DARK Xyz Monster from the Extra Deck and perform an Xyz Summon for that monster!"

"Xyz!?" Akiza's face showed surprise. "But isn't Xyz Summoning something that requires monsters of the same Level as materials? Now there isn't a single material on his field?"

"Correct," Don Thousand's clone said coldly. "When performing an Xyz Summon using the effect of 'Corpse Union Star', I can Special Summon the required number of DARK monsters from the Graveyard to the field to serve as Xyz Materials."

"And no matter what Level the material monsters from the Graveyard originally were, at this time, the Levels of these monsters can all become the material Level required by the target Xyz monster!"

Don Thousand's clone raised his arm, and the vortex of the Graveyard seemed to open with this action. Two dark rays intertwined and flew out from within, and the darkness transformed into the appearance of two monsters.

"Two DARK monsters in the Graveyard, 'Summoner Monk' and 'Intercept Demon' Special Summoned!"

The two used as Xyz Materials in the first turn, the black-robed red-eyed monk and the six-armed ferocious demon, both returned to Don Thousand's clone's field.

【Summoner Monk, ATK 800】

【Intercept Demon, ATK 1400】

"I change the Levels of Summoner Monk and Intercept Demon to Level 2!" Don Thousand's clone said. "Then according to the effect of 'Corpse Union Star', overlay the two monsters that have become Level 2, Xyz Summon!

Come! No. 43 Soul Puppet Ghost - Soul Puppet Master!"

One could tell it was something that didn't have anything to do with the living world just from the name, and the monster that appeared in the Xyz storm was indeed one such monster.

A pitch-black body, the entire main body part looked as if there was no physical entity at all, but rather composed of dark and deep mist. Several slender and twisted arms extended from that main body of mist, each hand had sharp five fingers, and the golden number "No. 43" was imprinted on the misty body, appearing particularly eye-catching on the dark torso.

【No. 43 Soul Puppet Ghost - Soul Puppet Master, ATK 0】

Yusei: "A 0 ATK Number!"

One could tell from his tone that he wasn't feeling disdain for a 0 ATK Xyz, but rather had an ominous premonition of "trouble is coming" based on his rich experience.

"Soul Puppet Master's effect! When this card is Xyz Summoned successfully, I can select one monster with 'Number' in its name from my Graveyard and equip it to Soul Puppet Master."

Don Thousand's clone said.

"I equip 'No. 70 Deadly Sin Spider' from my Graveyard to Soul Puppet Master!"

Since he was named Puppet Master, he naturally needed to have corresponding puppets. The several withered long arms danced in unison, and the sharp fingertips shot down countless almost invisible threads.

Those threads were like countless fishing lines sinking into the water surface, accompanied by a violent ripple, and soon dragged Deadly Sin Spider from the Graveyard back to the surface, manipulating it as his own puppet at will.

"Additionally, at the end of this turn, the effect of Continuous Spell 'Thousand-Throne of Don Thousand' also activated!" Don Thousand's clone said. "At the end of each turn, I can recover Life Points equal to the total damage I received this turn!" (Anime effect)

Saying this, dark currents surged, and energy had already poured into Don Thousand's clone's body like a vast ocean from that giant throne.

【Don Thousand's clone, LP 2400 -> LP 4000】

"What?" Yusei and the others were shocked when they heard this effect.

"Hey, hey, what kind of effect is this? Isn't it too cheating?" Crow said. "Recovering Life Points no matter how much damage is received, isn't that an immortal body!"

Jack crossed his arms and said: "In other words, it means it must be a one-turn kill within one turn."

Akiza was worried again: "Fujiki You Xuan..."

"At the moment my Life Points recover, Soul Puppet Master's effect also activates.
