Chapter 1276

Jack: "Very good, the attack power is tied!"

But Crow immediately poured a bucket of cold water on him: "But even if the attack power is the same, the opponent is a 'NO.' after all. Besides, that monster called Soul Puppet Master cannot be destroyed while it has a 'NO.' equipped to its body."

"I-I naturally know that!" Jack said proudly, crossing his arms. "Hmph, but since it's that Fujiki You Xuan, he must already have a countermeasure."

Fujiki You Xuan's operation was indeed still continuing: "I will follow up by equipping the 'Inzektor Hornet' I searched to my hand last turn to Dragonfly."

The green-armored beetle warrior was summoned to the field, changed its form in mid-air, transformed into a green blade, and landed in Dragonfly's hand.

At this time, Dragonfly had already obtained various pieces of equipment simultaneously; it could be said that it was fully armed to the teeth with divine gear. Compared to its initial petite stature, its body size had expanded several times over, and its strength and power had also soared by a large margin.

【Inzektor Dragonfly, ATK 4800】

"Equipped with new armaments again," Thousand-Honor Clone mused, "but the attack power hasn't changed. In other words, is it equipment that can grant Dragonfly new abilities?"

"You guessed right, but sorry, no prize."

Fujiki You Xuan waved his hand.

"I activate the effect of 'Inzektor Hornet'. By sending the Hornet, which is in the state of being used as an Equip Card, to the Graveyard, this turn, the monster equipped with this card can attack directly!"

Thousand-Honor Clone: "!"

A direct attack with 4800 attack power!

Once these words were spoken, not only the Old Thousand, but even the 5DS group, who were on the teammate side, were greatly astonished.

"So that's how it is, there's still this move!" Crow said happily.

"Yeah, no matter how invincible that NO. is, as long as you cross this barrier and strike the main body directly, you can definitely kill it in one hit!" Jack said, "And with 4800 attack power, if this strike goes through, even that 'Thousand-Honor Wang Zuo' will be useless. Let's take it down in one breath with this momentum, Fujiki You Xuan!"

Fujiki You Xuan's arm slashed down like an unsheathed blade: "Inzektor Dragonfly, direct attack!"

The Hornet blade was entirely shrouded in pale golden radiance, and in a moment, the blade disintegrated into countless light spots. Dragonfly leaped into the air, the mantis armament slashed out through the air, and a crescent-shaped transparent blade aura carved a long crack on the ground.

"Activate face-down card!" Thousand-Honor Clone said, "Trap card 'Earthbound Spirit's Temptation'!"

"When the opponent declares an attack, this card allows me to designate the attack target myself. Applying this effect, I will change your attack target to my 'NO. 43 Soul Puppet Ghost - Soul Puppet Master' on the field!"

A gloomy Earthbound Spirit flew out from the trap card illustration. That transparent ghost circled Dragonfly for half a turn, the blade in Dragonfly's hand trembled, and the slashed blade aura immediately changed direction, turning instead toward the gloomy Puppet Master in the Old Thousand's front field.

The Puppet Master also immediately made a counter-response, his fingers twitching as he waved his threads. The puppet Great Sin Spider he controlled immediately went to intercept that blade aura.

"Oh no, it was neutralized!" Crow said, "In this way, if we have to attack the Soul Puppet Master, both sides have the same attack power, but the opponent cannot be destroyed. Only Fujiki You Xuan's Dragonfly will be..."

With just one trap, the situation reversed again.

But Fujiki You Xuan still appeared calm, only playing another card from his hand: "Then I will follow up by activating the Quick-Play Spell 'Duel Fusion' from my hand!"

"When monsters on both sides are battling, this card allows my monster's attack power to increase by the value of the opponent's monster's attack power!" (Anime effect)

The moment the Quick-Play Spell appeared on the field, pitch-black energy was immediately extracted from the Soul Puppet Master and the Great Sin Spider acting as a puppet on the opposite side, surging into Dragonfly's body. Dragonfly, whose body size had already expanded several times over, saw its momentum surge again, absorbing the opponent's power and becoming even more powerful.

【Inzektor Dragonfly, ATK 4800 → ATK 9600】

"Attack power 9600!" Jack seemed to feel his blood boiling just by watching from the sidelines.

Crow also said: "Too strong! This guy Fujiki You Xuan is still ridiculously strong. Even if his sure-kill move is neutralized, he still has a sure-kill backup plan!"

This slash would deal 4800 damage, and it could still ignore the effect of "Thousand-Honor Wang Zuo" to kill it instantly!

But at this moment, the red light in Thousand-Honor Clone's eyes surged, his palm spread open, and he said sharply: "Then at this moment, Thousand-Honor Wang Zuo, final effect activates!"

As if to echo his words, when his voice fell, on the throne at the end of the stairs, it was as if a pair of demon's eyes suddenly widened, and a dark storm instantly wrapped the Soul Puppet Master on the field in the middle.

"Final effect?" Yusei was also secretly shocked, "Does this throne hide other secrets besides the ability to infinitely recover LP?"

Thousand-Honor Clone: "It can only be activated when an Xyz Monster on your field is selected as an attack target by an opponent's monster, and the opponent's attacking monster's attack power is higher than your own LP!"

"Send 'Thousand-Honor Wang Zuo' to the Graveyard, negate the attack of that opponent's monster, and then forcibly end this turn!" (Anime effect)

The huge throne sank into the ground, erupting with an astonishing dark storm. The darkness formed a vortex on Thousand-Honor Clone's field, like a defensive barrier, and the powerful dark air current blew Dragonfly so hard it had to shrink back and stop its offensive.

At the same time, the display interface on the Duel Disk also showed the words "End Phase".

"Negate the attack, and it can even forcibly end the opponent's turn?" Crow said in surprise, "Does just one card have so many powerful effects?"

"God possesses power that transcends the realm where you mortals exist."

Thousand-Honor Clone said coldly.

"And it's not over yet. While forcibly entering the opponent's End Phase, I can further use the Xyz Monster on my field that was attacked as material to perform a Rank-Up Xyz Summon for an Xyz Monster with 'Chaos' in its name!"

Yusei: "Rank-Up?"

Although Yusei and the others had already initially come into contact with the concept of Xyz, it was only until this moment that they witnessed the existence of Rank-Up for the first time.

"Correct! Therefore, I use 'NO. 43 Soul Puppet Ghost - Soul Puppet Master' as material, reconstruct the overlay network, Chaos Xyz Change! Appear—"

"—CNO. 43 Soul Puppet Ghost God - Chaos Puppet Master!!!"

The huge throne disappeared, but the mass of darkness it released became even thicker, rushing over like a tsunami dominated by darkness.

That dark tide swallowed the Soul Puppet Master on his field. When the Puppet Master reappeared from the darkness, its body had turned blood-red, like some kind of giant insect. Every insect leg was wrapped in strands of dark red puppet threads, and the prominent "CNO. 43" on the main trunk was shrouded in ominous purple light, as if it had already been demonized.
