Chapter 153

When Fujiki You Xuan finally arrived at this small club facing the fate of abandonment, his expression could not help but be a little strange.

To put it simply, this club is commonly known as the "Girl Card Research Club".

A club specifically for researching those spirit girl cards that are dressed coolly, pretty, and cute.

However, Fujiki You Xuan's first reaction to learning this was, why should such a good club be abandoned?

Reasonably speaking, he felt that this research direction was quite promising. As everyone knows, in the Yu-Gi-Oh! series, only mecha, dragons, and women are the eternal truths, and these three elements can be randomly arranged and freely combined to create some new series that are both easy to sell and can fight.

So Fujiki You Xuan thought about it a little and felt that the main problem with this department might be that it was born too early and was not born at the right time. Fujiki You Xuan immediately thought that the girl cards that could fight particularly well seemed to be quite advanced future cards, and thinking about it, girl card elements didn't seem to be as popular as dragons in the early Yu-Gi-Oh!.

But in any case, the abandonment had already been designated.

When Fujiki You Xuan, as the Student Council executor, arrived at the activity room, the entire department members were facing a great enemy.

Fujiki You Xuan had had many public duels since entering the academy, especially the last time against the Paradox Brothers, because of the "gimmick of a legendary duelist", so he once caused a stir in the academy. Now almost everyone knew him.

So when they saw that the person representing the Student Council was actually this one, the research department students all felt a chill in their hearts.

Their hearts suddenly went cold.

Research Department President Koichi Shimizu, with a solemn expression, put on his Duel Disk and stepped out of the activity room to prepare for battle.

"President!" A member couldn't help but call out, "You have no obligation to face such an opponent!"

But President Shimizu paused his steps, turned his head, and smiled freely at the members.

"I will fight for everything I love." He faced the light and said proudly. "Even if I am doomed today, I have to stand up. Never forget, everyone's burning love for beautiful girl spirits!"

"President!" The members were extremely moved.

"I will never forget you!"

"You can go with peace of mind!"

Fujiki You Xuan: "..."

No, it's just playing a card game with me, is it necessary?

Looking at this posture, those who don't know would think it's a Shadow Duel...

"Come on!"

President Shimizu walked up and unfolded his Duel Disk.

"Let the Student Council see our determination to protect our most beloved beautiful girl spirits!"

Fujiki You Xuan also unfolded his Duel Disk, but his expression was complicated.

These terrible lines, those who don't know would think he is some kind of big villain coming to snatch their wives...

"Duel!" x2

【Fujiki You Xuan, LP4000】

【President Shimizu, LP4000】

"I'll go first, draw card!" President Shimizu said. "I set a monster, then set a card, turn end!"

"Then my turn, draw card." Fujiki You Xuan said. "Activate Spell Card 'Graceful Charity', draw three cards from the deck, then discard two cards from my hand."

Two cards from his hand slid into the Graveyard zone on the Duel Disk. He then played four cards from his hand in one breath.

"Set a monster in the front row, set three cards in the back row, turn end."

President Shimizu frowned slightly. He didn't take the initiative to attack after going second, but set up a defensive line.

Sure enough, is it a tactic centered on traps as rumored?

But it doesn't matter.

Isn't it just a few traps? Watch him crush them with burning love and enthusiasm for the club!

"My turn, draw card!" President Shimizu shouted. "Activate Quick-Play Spell 'Mystical Space Typhoon', destroy that face-down card in the center of your back row!"

"Then chain and activate this face-down card." Fujiki You Xuan activated the back row. "Quick-Play Spell - Scapegoat.

Special Summon four 'Sheep Tokens' to my field!"

【Sheep Token, DEF 0】 x4

"A spell to consolidate the defensive line, huh."

Four sheep tokens in one breath, it's not that easy to break through such a defensive formation.

President Shimizu: "Then first, Flip Summon the face-down monster 'Demon Tamer'!"

Appearing on the field was a pretty woman with waterfall-like blue hair, a thin waist, long legs, and a navel-baring outfit, wearing long boots and holding a leather whip that made people think about things, not knowing what it was used for...

【Demon Tamer, ATK 800】

Well, as expected of the president of the Girl Card Research Club. Sure enough, he still has quite a taste in monster selection...

However, immediately after, President Shimizu took out another card from his hand.

"Activate Spell Card 'Level Up!', send the monster on my field to the Graveyard, and Special Summon a monster from my deck with the same race and attribute as that monster, but one level higher!

Therefore, I send the Warrior-type, Earth-attribute, Level 3 'Demon Tamer' on the field to the Graveyard, and Special Summon this card from my deck..."

President Shimizu slapped down the warrior searched from the deck.

"Warrior of Zera!"

【Warrior of Zera, ATK 1600】

Fujiki You Xuan: "..."

No, what about your burning love for beautiful girl monsters?

How did it sacrifice itself at light speed and turn into a dark, burly man?

As if seeing what he was thinking, President Shimizu puffed out his chest.

"To protect the realm of beautiful girls, I will not hesitate to borrow other powers." The president said righteously. "Our bond with the spirit girls will not be severed by such a small matter!"

Fujiki You Xuan nodded to show he understood.

Well, such a convenient bond, no wonder you are going to be abandoned...

"Activate Field Spell 'The Sanctuary in the Sky'!"

The Spell Card was placed in the Field zone, and the environment on the field changed instantly. The temple surrounded by holy light emerged in the clouds, and the sanctuary of angels dominated the whole field.

"With this, the field of our duel is dominated by the realm of holy angels!"

President Shimizu said, and drew another card from his hand.

"Then I tribute 'Warrior of Zera' on the field!

The holy warrior arrives at the Sanctuary in the Sky, transforming into the form of a great angel and descending again—

—Archlord Zerato, summon!!!"

Dazzling holy light descended in the sanctuary, enveloping the green-armored warrior. The warrior evolved in the radiance, shining light wings unfolded behind him, and he descended wielding a sharp blade!

【Archlord Zerato, ATK 2800】

"Archlord Zerato cannot be Normal Summoned. But when 'The Sanctuary in the Sky' exists on the field, it can be Special Summoned by tributing 'Warrior of Zera' on my field."

President Shimizu shouted.

"And, he also hides a more powerful special effect!

By discarding one LIGHT monster from my hand to the Graveyard, destroy all monsters on the opponent's field!"

The members of the Girl Card Research Club began to shout and cheer.

"As expected of the president! He summoned the most powerful trump card in one go!"

"Attack in one breath, let him see our obsession with spirit girls!"

Fujiki You Xuan: "..."

But even if you say so, your president's trump card is also a burly man...

"'Archlord Zerato' effect activate! I discard the LIGHT 'White Magician Pikeru' from my hand to the Graveyard, destroy all monsters on your field!"

In the midst of chatting and laughing, another girl card was ruthlessly discarded as a COST, and this time it was also a mage loli.

The Archlord unfolded his wings, the blade swept across, and the domineering storm roared toward Fujiki You Xuan's side of the field. However, at the same time, President Shimizu's operation continued.

"It's not over yet, at this very moment..."

President Shimizu pressed the button on the Duel Disk, and the face-down card in the back row stood up.

"Trap Card 'Judgment of the Scales'!

Only when the number of cards on the opponent's field is greater than the total number of cards in my hand and on my field, can I draw that difference in cards from my deck!"

He pointed to Fujiki You Xuan's field.

"I chain the activation of my 'Archlord Zerato' effect, so although the COST of my hand has been discarded, the destruction effect of the Archlord has not yet been processed.

Now you have five monsters on the field, two face-down cards, a total of seven cards. And I only have 'Archlord Zerato', 'Judgment of the Scales', and 'The Sanctuary in the Sky', three cards on my field.

Therefore, I draw the difference from my deck..."

He drew cards from his deck in one breath.

"Draw four cards!"
