Chapter 252: Complete Blockade

Fujiki You Xuan cheered up and was about to continue, when he suddenly noticed something. He caught a glimpse of the corner of his eye, and the brothers Kaiba and Mokuba, who were busy on the computer in the room, didn't know when they had come down, and were standing side by side quietly watching the battle.

It seems they were unexpectedly calm about him encountering enemies.

Fujiki You Xuan seemed to have guessed something.

"My turn, draw," Fujiki You Xuan said. "Activate the Spell Card 'Foolish Burial', send one monster card from my deck to the Graveyard."

"A card for precise Graveyard dumping, searching for any monster from the deck. If you send some troublesome things down, it won't be good."

The masked man said in a low voice.

"Then activate face-down card, Trap Card - Back to the Front! Su Sheng a monster from the Graveyard in Defense Position!"

Fujiki You Xuan: "One of the monsters discarded by 'Graceful Charity' last turn, huh."

"Not bad, the one I want to revive is this one..."

The masked man drew a card that retreated from the Graveyard and slapped it horizontally onto the duel disk.

"Spell Canceller!"

The metallic mechanical device appeared on the field, taking a defensive posture and lying across the masked man's front field.

【Spell Canceller, DEF 1600】

"This thing, huh..."

Fujiki You Xuan usually uses this thing to pit others, and it's a bit uncomfortable to be pitted by this thing in reverse occasionally.

"When Spell Canceller is on the field, all Spell Cards cannot be activated, and all Spell effects are negated," the masked man said coldly. "Therefore, 'Foolish Burial' becomes negated, and you cannot send monsters from the deck to the Graveyard."

Spell Canceller showed its absolute magic-sealing ability, and all magic power was negated under the operation of that cancellation device. The dim Spell card quickly shattered and disappeared from the field.

After the Spell was negated, Fujiki You Xuan didn't continue to operate, just glanced at the calm Kaiba brothers on the side, and looked at the person in front of him again.

"Let me guess..."

Fujiki You Xuan said.

"Amelda... Right?"

The masked man's eyelids jumped, obviously surprised.

However, only a second later, he snorted and laughed, and tore off the disguise on his body.

Sure enough, one of the former three swordsmen of Xin Xin Duoma, and also the deadly rival among the three swordsmen who had a grudge with Kaiba, Amelda.

This person first defeated Pegasus in the original work, and even pretended to be Pegasus to duel Kaiba, even using Pegasus's Toon deck in a decent way. After being exposed, he suddenly changed to a Fire deck.

Mixing the Toon series that didn't belong to him into his own deck, and finally even tied with Kaiba when both sides' Life Points returned to zero, which is enough to see the strength of this person.

But of course, he still lost to Kaiba in the second round.

Back then, none of the three swordsmen of Xin Xin Duoma were fuel-efficient lamps.

And after that, Amelda also learned that his childhood misfortune was actually the work of his own boss, Dartz, and his hatred for Seto Kaiba was largely instilled by Dartz, so the two sides finally reached a reconciliation.

And even when he was full of hatred for

Given President Kaiba's personality, there are very few people he could consider friends, and that's not to mention the anime-exclusive spell the opponent just used, followed by that Spell Canceller—a card that, although Fujiki You Xuan also loves to use, was originally Amelda's card in the source material.

That is why Fujiki You Xuan guessed the opponent's background.

"I was just wondering what kind of genius young person could gain the approval of a cocky guy like Seto Kaiba."

After discarding his disguise and voice changer, Amelda's voice became much gentler, and he said with a smile.

"Seeing you today, you really are extraordinary. You were actually able to guess it was me? Your brain works fast."

Beside him, Kaiba said coldly, "I never said anything about approval."

Amelda chuckled, implying that those who know, know, and there's no need to say more.

"So, you are the leader of those duelist groups?" Fujiki You Xuan asked.

"Of course," Amelda smiled, "who else could it be but me?"

So the White Dragon Maid group was also your idea.

What a weird hobby, as expected.

"So this isn't a Shadow Duel, right?"

"Of course not. I was interested the moment I first heard about you, and later I specifically looked into your duel records, which made me even more interested."

Amelda smiled as he looked at the Spell Canceller on the field and said.

"You seem to have quite a connection with it, don't you?

So, before you guys arrived, I was thinking I had to find an opportunity to test you. The reason I dressed up like that earlier was just to build some tension and help you perform better."

Fujiki You Xuan: "."

So after all that, it turns out they're allies.

Tch, boring.

He was just thinking that the cards this guy used last turn were pretty good.

If they're allies, doesn't that mean I can't steal them? Damn it.

At this moment, Mokuba spoke up: "Many of the cards Amelda uses are made with the technology of Xin Xin Duoma from back then; even we hadn't seen them before.

But now their organization has its own research team, and most of the cards produced by Xin Xin Duoma have been successfully replicated, right? You shouldn't mind Kaiba Corp acquiring a batch, should you?"

"Haha, that's naturally no problem," Amelda said readily.

Fujiki You Xuan spotted the key point.

As expected of Mokuba, he not only understands him but is also good at capturing the main point.

So he immediately regained his spirit.

"The duel continues; it is still my turn."

"Hm? Oh, of course," Amelda said.

I don't know if it's an illusion, but why does he feel like this kid looked a bit listless just a moment ago, and now suddenly seems to have fighting spirit again...

"Battle. Gorz the Emissary of Hades, attack 'Disaster Demon'!"

Gorz flew out, his blade slashing; the sword light split the demon's massive body, and the latter exploded.

【Amelda, LP4000→LP3300】

"Then, 'Emissary of Hades - Kaien Token' attacks 'Spell Canceller'!"

【Spell Canceller, DEF 1600】

The Kaien Token also struck; the long blade slashed through, leaving a long crack across the mechanical device, and with a boom, it exploded into a fireball.

"With this, the spell restriction is lifted," Fujiki You Xuan said. "Enter Main Phase 2.

Activate the spell card 'Graceful Charity'. Draw three cards from the deck, then discard two cards from my hand."

Fujiki You Xuan drew three cards, scanned them quickly, and soon selected two to discard to the Graveyard.

"The effect of 'Jinzo - Returner' discarded to the Graveyard.

When this card is sent to the Graveyard, Special Summon 'Jinzo' from the Graveyard!

Awaken from the Graveyard, the bane of traps, the king of psychic power—

—Jinzo, summon!"

【Jinzo, ATK 2400】

Jinzo crossed his arms and entered the field, carrying the aura of someone looking down on all heroes. He sensed that he had encountered an unusual opponent this time, so he had to put on a good show no matter what.

The Jinzo Special Summoned by the effect of the physical card Jinzo - Returner would self-destruct at the end of the turn, but the original version didn't have this restriction.

"Next, I haven't performed a Normal Summon this turn," Fujiki You Xuan said. "Therefore, I offer 'Gorz the Emissary of Hades' and the Kaien Token as Tributes, Tribute Summon!

Radiant artificial angel, descend here—

—Angel O7, summon!"

One of the trump cards of Abidos the Third, obtained from Industrial Illusions and whom Fujiki You Xuan had once dueled, Angel O7!

【Angel O7, ATK 2500】

"Finally, the spell card 'Monster Reborn', to revive a monster in my or the opponent's Graveyard."

Fujiki You Xuan raised his arm, and a huge Reborn symbol appeared above him.

"I am going to revive this card in your Graveyard—

—Spell Canceller!"

【Spell Canceller, ATK 1800】

Amelda's pupils contracted, and he soon realized something, his face changing: "These three monsters, this formation..."

"You seem to have noticed," Fujiki You Xuan smiled slightly.

The original effect of Angel O7: while this card is on the field, the effects of all monsters on the opponent's field cannot be activated.

While Spell Canceller is on the field, neither player can activate spell cards, and all spell effects are negated.

With Jinzo on the field, neither player can activate trap cards, and all trap effects are negated.

Total lockdown formation!
