Chapter 370: I Must Future Fusion

"Set three cards, turn ends."

With a flash of golden light, Fujiki You Xuan had three sets in his back row.

"End Phase, the effect of 'D. D. Scout Plane' banished from the game by 'Allure of Darkness'. Special Summon this card in Attack Position during the End Phase of the turn it was banished."

【D. D. Scout Plane, ATK 800】

"Then my turn, draw." Luca said, "Activate Spell Card 'Pot of Greed', draw two cards from the Deck."

Two more cards were in hand; he seemed to see one of them and his eyes lit up, then he couldn't help but look up and laugh out loud.

Fujiki You Xuan raised his eyebrows.

"Ho? Drew a key card?"

"Heh, I wanted to test your skills a little, but it looks like this guy also really wants to fight you."

Luca lowered his voice, as if brewing an atmosphere.

"Although the duel has just begun, it's a pity it looks like it's going to end here. But you are lucky to be able to witness my strongest trump card.

Activate Equip Spell 'Future Fusion'!" (Original version)

He held the card high, the image of the Spell Card appeared in front of him, and colorful auroras seemed to appear in the sky.

"Future Fusion, select one Fusion Monster in your Fusion Deck to activate. Send the Fusion Materials from the Deck to the Graveyard, and fuse from the Deck!"

"Equip version of Future Fusion, huh..." Fujiki You Xuan narrowed his eyes.

Although he had known about this card for a long time, seeing it with his own eyes still made him want to complain; what kind of fake card is this.

The weakened version of Future Fusion released in the physical game really requires fusing in the "future," and that was already a ban-list-level cheat; later it was even further weakened.

But this original anime version of Future Fusion didn't show any "future" flavor at all; it was completely "I must fuse immediately now." Directly selecting materials from the Deck, fusing immediately without column restrictions—even the pre-weakening Future Fusion that sat in prison for years was a little brother compared to this...

"Your card is really good." Fujiki You Xuan smiled mysteriously.

"Hehe, don't blink; the one about to descend now is the most ultimate monster."

Luca pulled a large handful of cards from his Deck in one breath.

"I send all twenty-five different Worms in my Deck to the Graveyard, performing a twenty-five-fold fusion for the ultimate Worm!

Descend, the source and zero point of everything, the strongest Ultimate Worm..."

Heaven and earth anomalies, the earth shook. The phantoms of twenty-five Worms appeared, slowly approaching the fusion vortex that opened in the sky. An unparalleled terrible existence seemed to be brewing within it.

"Don't rush."

Fujiki You Xuan snapped his fingers.

"Before the effect of 'Future Fusion' is processed, chain and activate this card..."

He revealed a somewhat strange smile, which looked a bit eerie in the light before dawn.

"Continuous Trap - Macro Cosmos!

All cards sent to the Graveyard by both players are not sent to the Graveyard, but are banished directly from the game."

Luca's movements paused, and he was stunned for two seconds.

Then his pupils contracted, and his expression gradually began to become horrified...

"Wait, wait a minute!"

He instinctively reached out toward the location of the Future Fusion in his back row.

"Wait, I'm not sending to the Graveyard, stop! Yamero (Stop)!..."

But of course, that was impossible. After Macro Cosmos took effect, it automatically entered the effect processing of "Future Fusion." The twenty-five Worms in his Deck were sent to the Graveyard under the effect of Future Fusion, but immediately after, they were intercepted under the power of the banishing supreme "Macro Cosmos," and all were kicked into the other dimension in one breath.

"Ugh, aaargh!!!"

Luca's eyes were about to split.

Worms, my Worms!

Twenty-five of them!

Damn, half the Deck was sent to the other dimension; can you believe it?

He was about to explode in an instant.

No, stay calm, it's not over yet.

Although half the Deck was sent to the Graveyard, the fusion had indeed been activated. After the effect was processed, Worm Zero should still continue to fuse and descend.

The heaven and earth anomalies were still continuing, the huge phantom of the twenty-five-fold fusion appeared in the sky, and one could faintly see the spherical object that covered the sky and the sun, as if it had brought the end of the world.

A sharp glint flashed in Luca's eyes.

As long as he summoned his invincible Worm Zero...

"Activate face-down card, Trap Card 'Dust Tornado'." Fujiki You Xuan said, "Destroy one Spell or Trap card on the opponent's field. Destroy 'Future Fusion'."

Pausing, he smiled slightly.

"Although Future Fusion is a powerful fusion, it is an Equip Spell; it needs to equip the monster it summons after fusion. If this card leaves the field, the equipped monster is also directly destroyed; that's right, isn't it?"

The dust storm rolled up and swept across Luca's field. Future Fusion was twisted into fragments by the storm; sure enough, the heaven and earth anomalies stopped abruptly, and the giant ball in mid-air exploded with a bang. The atmosphere had been brewing for a long time, but it hadn't had time to reveal its true form before it was blasted into powder.

Luca: "..."

He realized.

The opponent could have used "Dust Tornado" immediately when he activated Future Fusion; if he had done that, all subsequent effects of Future Fusion would not have been processed and would have stopped directly.

But he didn't do that. He watched with a smile as Luca sent most of his own Deck to the other dimension, and then unhurriedly blew his Worm Zero away with a wind card.

It was very infuriating.

Luca took a deep breath, controlled his hand that was rising with the desire to hit someone, and slowly drew another card from his hand.

"Then Normal Summon 'Worm Xex'." He said with a cold face.

【Worm Xex, ATK 1800】

"Next, the effect of 'Worm Agon' in the Graveyard. When there is only 'Worm Xex' on your field, Special Summon this card from the Graveyard in face-down Defense Position."

The image of a disgusting Worm flashed on the field, and then it turned into a face-down card and appeared on his field. That was the Worm Agon that was blasted down by the Earth Monarch last turn.

Xex and Agon were a relatively famous golden combination in the Worm series. Xex could send Agon from the Deck to the Graveyard when successfully summoned, and Worm Agon could jump back to the field in face-down position when Xex was on the field, and when flipped, it could bounce a monster back to the hand.

"Then activate the face-down card." Luca opened the face-down card in the back row, "Spell Card 'Book of Taiyou'!

Change one face-down monster on the field to face-up Attack Position."

"So that's it, manually flipping to trigger the effect, huh." Fujiki You Xuan understood.

"Correct! The one I want to flip is naturally this card I just set—Worm Agon!"

【Worm Agon, ATK 1000】

"When Worm Agon is flipped, return one monster on the field to the owner's hand.

Get lost, Earth Monarch - Granmarg, bounce back to the hand!"

The Earth Monarch turned into a beam of golden light and returned to Fujiki You Xuan's hand.

"In this way, your front line will be broken!" Luca shouted, "Worm Xex, Worm Agon, attack!"
