Chapter 372: Mindset is Most Important

Worm Zero, summon!

When seeing his trump card, this ultimate Worm, finally appear, Luca felt that he had never been so happy in his life when seeing it, and even briefly had the thought that "this life of mine is worth it."

Finally, it wasn't easy...

But now that Worm Zero had descended, it was equivalent to him having locked in victory!

"Worm Zero's effect is determined by the number of material types used during Fusion Summon. First is the first effect."

Luca waved his hand.

"When Worm Zero uses two or more types of monsters as Fusion Materials, once per turn, Special Summon one Reptile-type monster from the Graveyard in face-down Defense Position.

I set the Worm 'Worm Apocalypse' discarded by 'Hand Destruction' in the first turn from the Graveyard to the field in face-down Defense Position."

The image of Worm Apocalypse flashed on the field and soon became a face-down monster card blocking in front of him.

"Then is the second effect." Luca said, "When there are four or more types of Fusion Materials, banish one Reptile-type monster from your Graveyard, and select one monster on the field to send to the Graveyard.

Similarly, banish 'Worm Barses' discarded by 'Hand Destruction' from the Graveyard, and send 'Granmarg the Rock Monarch' on your field to the Graveyard."

Pausing, he smiled coldly.

"Of course, because of your own 'Macro Cosmos' effect, sending to the Graveyard is equivalent to banishing directly.

This time, eat your own Macro Cosmos, get banished for me!"

Luca was excited. Worm Zero's ability activated, like a darkness reaching the sky, shrouding the Earth Monarch in it until it was swallowed by the darkness, as if it had disappeared out of thin air.

"Hahahahaha, banish, all of you damn well get banished for me!" Luca shouted, "Go to hell, battle!

Worm Zero attacks 'D. D. Scout Plane'!"

13,000 ATK, while the Scout Plane's panel was only a mere 800. This shot would complete a one-hit kill!

"It's over!" Luca shouted.

But it wasn't.

Blocking in front of that world-destroying blow of the Worm was the suddenly appearing phantom of a turtle. A wave of electromagnetic current exploded, pushing and shaking the Worm backward without question.

"What?" Luca frowned.

"'Des Lacooda' in the Graveyard, banish this card from the Graveyard during the opponent's Battle Phase, and forcibly end the Battle Phase."

Fujiki You Xuan smiled.

"The resources accumulated through that 'Hand Destruction' aren't just yours."

"Tch, saved a life, huh." Luca pouted.

But it didn't matter, Worm Zero had already been successfully summoned and had a full 13,500 ATK.

There was nothing to be afraid of anymore.

"Worm Zero's third effect. When there are six or more types of Fusion Materials, draw one card from the Deck once per turn."

Luca drew a card, took a look, and played it directly.

"Continuous Spell 'Nightmare's Mirage'. During the opponent's Standby Phase, you can draw cards from the Deck until you have four cards in your hand."

He waved his hand and set two cards on the field.

"Set two cards, turn ends."

Fujiki You Xuan: "My turn, draw."

"At this moment, the effect of Mirage, I draw until I have four cards in my hand."

Luca also drew cards from the Deck.

Fujiki You Xuan watched him draw cards but wasn't in a hurry to operate: "To accurately draw 'Parallel World Fusion' in such a situation and break through the situation against Macro Cosmos. Not bad, worthy of being a Doma musketeer, very hardworking."

Luca: "..."

At first listen, it seemed like he was expressing praise for himself, but why did it get more infuriating the more he listened?

He noticed that this person had a terrible talent. Not only through dueling, it seemed that every thing he did and every word he said easily affected people's mindset, thereby affecting the stability and normal operation of the duelist's "momentum."

Thinking of this, Luca immediately stabilized his mindset and made up his mind that no matter what this person did next, he must maintain a normal heart. This was an opponent who couldn't be careless at all, and he had to stay in the best state to deal with it...

"I use 'D. D. Scout Plane' as an Offering again." Fujiki You Xuan said, "Master of the sky, avatar of the storm, descend here—

—Raiza the Storm Monarch, summon!"

The green storm rolled up, the gale seemed to stir the pitch-black dark clouds in mid-air, and the tall green Monarch folded his arms and descended slowly from the wind.

【Raiza the Storm Monarch, ATK 2400】

"Raiza the Storm Monarch, when Tribute Summon successful, return one card on the field to the top of the owner's Deck."

Fujiki You Xuan looked up at the giant sphere in the sky.

"Although I'm a bit sorry, please trouble your ultimate Worm to retire here. Return 'Worm Zero' to the Deck; of course, because Worm Zero is a Fusion Monster, it returns to the Fusion Deck."

The green storm reaching the sky seemed to turn into a tornado, swirling and sweeping toward the Worm in the sky!

"Would it be that easy?" Luca sneered, "Activate face-down card, Trap Card 'Skill Prisoner'!

Select one card on your field; all monster effects that target the selected card are negated for this turn!"

The protective barrier appeared on the surface of Worm Zero, and the Storm Monarch's tornado hit that transparent barrier, seeming to be blocked out entirely.

"Hahahahaha, did you think I wouldn't have thought that you would use the Monarch's effect to launch an attack?"

Luca proudly put his hands on his hips and laughed out loud. It seemed that from the moment he summoned Worm Zero, his sunny smile returned to his face.

"Muda! All monster effects on Worm Zero are useless this turn; even if you summon a new Monarch next, it's the same..."

"Activate face-down card, Trap Card 'Wind Spirit Art - Miyabi'." Fujiki You Xuan said, "Tribute one Wind monster, select one card on the opponent's field and return it to the bottom of the owner's Deck.

I use 'Raiza the Storm Monarch' as an Offering, bounce 'Worm Zero' back to the Deck."

Luca's smile stopped abruptly.

The Storm Monarch, whose ability was blocked, did not retreat because of this, but instead erupted with even more surging fighting spirit. Only to see it as if burning itself out, its whole body disintegrated, erupting into pure energy and merging into the storm, rushing toward the Worm in mid-air with an unstoppable momentum.

The barrier shattered, and Worm Zero was finally swallowed by the Storm Monarch's sacrificial attack. The green tornado wrapped around the terrifying giant creature and broke through the sky together, as if disappearing at the other end of the sky.

"Aaaargh!!!"

Luca entered the verge of going berserk.

His Worm Zero, twenty-six-fold fusion, 13,000 ATK Worm Zero...

Not a single attack successfully passed, and it was blown away so casually before it could even be enjoyed...

"I know you're in a hurry, but don't be in a hurry first."

Fujiki You Xuan said with a smile.

"You never know what will happen until the last moment of a duel, mindset is most important, right?"
