Chapter 374: The Might of Worms

Under the dawn sky, the explosive energy like a tsunami tore out from the depths of the ground like a waking giant beast.

That was the destructive blow of "Worm Victory," which gathered into a raging tide the moment it erupted, surging like ten thousand horses galloping, and everything in its path was turned into powder. Even Chaos Sorcerer could not resist in front of that power and could only be ground into fragments under the raging energy.

"You just wanted to use Chaos Sorcerer to banish my 'Worm Victory', right? It's a pity, not that easy." Luca shouted.

Fujiki You Xuan didn't care: "Then set another monster in face-down Defense Position, set another face-down card, turn ends."

"During the End Phase, the subsequent effect of 'W Nebula Meteorite'!"

Luca swept his arm and shouted.

"All Reptile-type Light-attribute monsters on my field are set back to face-down Defense Position, then draw cards from the Deck equal to that number.

Therefore, 'Worm Victory' changes back to face-down Defense Position, and I draw one card from the Deck!"

Luca drew a card, and at the same time, the huge scarlet carapace creature also stopped its momentum, returning to the form of a face-down card.

"And it's not over. The final effect of 'W Nebula Meteorite', I can Special Summon another Level 7 or higher Reptile-type Light-attribute monster from the Deck."

Luca pulled out the Deck and quickly searched for the card he wanted.

"Appear, the second 'Worm Victory'!"

The No. 2 machine of Victory also rose slowly from the ground in an exaggerated manner, its massive body spanning in front of Fujiki You Xuan, the shadow cast on the ground was simply like a mountain.

【Worm Victory, ATK 0 -> ATK 3000】

"Worms are immortal, no matter how many you defeat, more will appear!" Luca said, "My turn, draw!"

Fujiki You Xuan shrugged and didn't speak, but thought to himself that without Macro Cosmos, talking is really tough.

"Activate Spell Card 'Book of Magic of the Pot', both players draw three cards from the Deck."

After drawing cards again, Luca couldn't help but raise the corners of his mouth, restoring his ferocious smile again, as if everything had returned to his control.

"The attack of Worms is endless, now let you realize this deeply. Activate this card from your hand—

—Continuous Spell 'Future Fusion'!"

"Hmm?" Fujiki You Xuan frowned slightly.

Are there both an Equip version and a Continuous version of Future Fusion?

Both versions did appear in the GX anime; the former was held by Kaiser, and the latter was in Darkness's hands. The one Fujiki You Xuan picked up from the enthusiastic passerby earlier was only the Continuous version.

"The effect of 'Future Fusion' as a Continuous Spell is different; I can also select one Fusion Monster and send the required Fusion Materials from the Deck to the Graveyard. But it takes two turns before I can perform a Fusion Summon for that monster."

Luca paused and said in a deep voice.

"But it doesn't matter, my goal this time is not the Fusion Summon itself.

The one I want to choose is naturally 'Worm Zero' that was retrieved to the Fusion Deck earlier!

Then from the Deck, these..."

Another large handful of cards were pulled from his Deck.

"Send twenty-three types of Worms to the Graveyard!"

Only twenty-three types were sent to the Graveyard this time. There were twenty-six types of Worms in total; besides Worm Zero, this time it should have sent fewer than the Worm Queen currently in the Graveyard. And he had already summoned two Worm Victories on the field, there didn't seem to be a No. 3 machine in the Deck, so there were also fewer Worm Victories.

Twenty-three Worms poured into the Graveyard like a flood, and surging energy surged on the field, as if it had been poured into the reddish-brown giant creature on the field in one breath.

"Worm Victory will increase ATK based on the number of Worms in the Graveyard." Fujiki You Xuan understood.

"Correct." Luca said, "There are twenty-three more Worms in the Graveyard, so Worm Victory's ATK becomes..."

【Worm Victory, ATK 3000 -> ATK 14500】

"ATK 14,500, huh."

Fujiki You Xuan looked up at the behemoth.

"Not bad! And don't forget, I have this other Victory face-down on the field." Luca shouted, "I Flip Summon the other 'Worm Victory' face-down on the field!"

【Worm Victory, ATK 14500】

"When Victory is flipped, destroy all face-up monsters on the field except for Reptile-type monsters with 'Worm' in their name." Fujiki You Xuan said, "But the only monster on my field is face-down Defense Position, Victory's effect cannot destroy it."

"Doesn't matter. No matter what kind of trash wall it is, with Victory's current power, it can easily crush it!"

Luca shouted loudly.

"Go, Worm Victory, attack that face-down trash monster!"

Worm's massive body approached, the giant claws with 10,000 ATK carried thunderous pressure, rolling toward the tiny face-down monster in Fujiki You Xuan's front row!

"ATK 14,000, even surpassing the previous Worm Zero, is this the strength of Worms, of Doma musketeers?"

Fujiki You Xuan looked up, his expression solemn.

"Then there's no way. Activate face-down card..."

He raised his arm, and a golden light bloomed in the Trap Card, turning into a projection image of a double cylinder.

The moment Luca saw that gorgeous double cylinder, his heart almost stopped.

That thing is...

Magic Cylinder!

"Negate the opponent's monster's attack." Fujiki You Xuan said, "Reflect the ATK value of that monster to the opponent—

—that is, 14,500 points of reflection damage to you!"

"Magic... Cylinder!?"

Luca's eyes widened.

What do you mean by holding Magic Cylinder and making that difficult-to-hit expression just now?

But Worm Victory's punch had been steadily caught by the Magic Cylinder, and the unparalleled energy that seemed enough to shatter mountains and rivers was absorbed into it. The other cylinder flipped over, and the surging energy was about to be released.

If this punch hit himself, Luca would have to owe himself eight lives.

"Then activate Quick-Play Spell 'Forbidden Chalice'!" Luca said with a black face, "Increase the ATK of one monster on the field by 400 points, but negate the monster's effect.

Therefore, I negate the effect of this 'Worm Victory' attacking on my field, and ATK increases by 400!"

"Victory's original ATK is 0, if the effect is negated, it will return to 0. In that case, its ATK will only be the amplification of Chalice and Orichalcos, totaling 900 points."

Fujiki You Xuan nodded, then smiled lightly.

"Not bad, not bad, even Magic Cylinder was resisted, huh."

"Don't get carried away, it's not over yet... Quick-Play Spell 'Very Hungry'!" Luca said, "Send the activated 'Forbidden Chalice' and the Continuous Spell 'Future Fusion' on the field to the Graveyard, and recover 2,000 Life Points!"

【Luca, LP1600 -> LP3600】

After the chain was processed, Life Points recovered, and then Worm Victory's blow was reflected back from the Magic Cylinder. But when it fell on him, the world-destroying power had been reduced to the extreme, leaving only a mere 900 damage, and Luca only swayed and held on.

【Luca, LP3600 -> LP2700】

"What an insidious kid."

Luca wiped his sweat.

"A little careless and I would have fallen for your trick... Battle continues.

Second Worm Victory, attack the Defense monster!"

The face-down monster was flipped, and naturally shattered under the 10,000 ATK blow of the Worm.

"The monster you just defeated is 'Mask of Darkness'."

Before sending it to the Graveyard, Fujiki You Xuan briefly displayed the monster card in his hand.

"When Mask of Darkness is flipped, select one Trap Card in your Graveyard and add it to your hand.

Therefore, I take this card from the Graveyard..."

Fujiki You Xuan took the card that exited the Graveyard area.

"Return Continuous Trap 'Macro Cosmos' to my hand."

Luca: "..."
