Chapter 435: Final Barrier

Cyber Twin Dragon, summon!

This change was beyond everyone's expectations again. The appearance of Absolute Zero in the final was already a shocking fact that was quite unexpected, and if there was anything more jaw-dropping than this, it was that Absolute Zero actually turned into a two-headed Cyber Dragon.

Marufuji Ryo was surprised and also had a bit of joy: "That was won from me..."

Bringing his Cyber Dragon to the final stage was just like his will coming to that stage, which is equivalent to having a little sense of participation in the final.

"Judai's Elemental HERO, and Marufuji's Cyber Dragon..."

Mokuba's face was strange. It was clearly Fujiki You Xuan standing on the field, but there was an inexplicable sense of seeing the rookies of the Duel Academy fighting side by side.

"Using Absolute Zero to transform into Cyber Twin Dragon, triggering Absolute Zero's complete freezing effect, and then Twin Dragon can attack twice in one fell swoop..."

Judai's eyes lit up.

"What a great tactic, as expected of Fujiki You Xuan... actually able to combine the monsters of mine and Kaiser so smoothly and naturally..."

In fact, HERO players all know that Absolute Zero's ideal transformation is into "Masked HERO Acid", which can destroy Magic/Trap cards in the back row when it appears. Absolute Zero to Acid has been one of the common combos for Masked HERO for a long time.

Of course, Fujiki You Xuan didn't have Masked HERO, so he had to settle for the next best thing. I just don't know if this combination can plant a seed in Judai's heart and inspire him to hurry up and print some new cards for the Masked HERO series.

"Cyber Twin Dragon, direct attack!" Fujiki You Xuan had already ordered.

The evolutionary flame sprayed out from the Twin Dragon's mouth, the spiral flames like the hot breath of a fire dragon.

"... Activate Trap 'Absorbing Shield'." The Arbiter also immediately made a move to resolve it. "Negate the opponent's monster's attack, and absorb Life Points equal to that monster's ATK."

A colorful transparent shield opened like a water-flow iris barrier. The impact of the evolutionary flame slammed into the barrier, and the energy was fully converted into nutrients and poured into the Arbiter's body.

【Arbiter, LP1200→LP4000】

"Then there is the second attack, Cyber Twin Dragon can attack twice in one turn." Fujiki You Xuan said. "Second attack."

"Double Evolution Shockwave!"

The flames in Cyber Twin Dragon's mouth sprayed again, the beam like a mountain-toppling sea, rolling towards the Arbiter's face with a momentum that made people breathless.

But the Arbiter continued to resolve it: "Activate Trap 'Divine Javelin'. When the opponent's monster declares an attack, recover LP equal to the ATK of that attacking monster."

【Arbiter, LP4000→LP6800】

Similar effect to Absorbing Shield, but it cannot negate the attack itself. After the Life Points recovered, the evolutionary beam impact slammed directly into him, the Cyber Dragon's powerful output bombed his face, and the light flame exploded into a ball of fire, and his clothes fluttered in the firelight.

【Arbiter, LP6800→LP4000】

"Damn, this guy can really survive." Mokuba said indignantly, seeming to feel regret.

"If he could be defeated so easily, he wouldn't be worth my attention." Kaiba said coldly.

"Eh, is that so?" Mokuba said sheepishly.

He actually felt that Fujiki You Xuan's attack was already quite beautiful. This strike combined Absolute Zero's dominance of the field and the Cyber style's strong attack. If it were replaced by an ordinary duelist... no, he estimated that many professional duelists would have been OTK'd if they took such a combination.

Fujiki You Xuan: "Then set three cards, turn ends."

"My turn, draw card."

The Arbiter said sinisterly. I don't know when his usual calmness had disappeared, and his face was so gloomy that it seemed like it was going to drip water. He stared at Fujiki You Xuan with an increasingly unkind expression, looking like he had completely given up the intention of winning over and cooperating, and regarded him as a thorn in his side that he would not stop until he died.

"Activate Magic Card 'Card of Sanctity'." The Arbiter said. "Draw cards from the deck until you have six cards in your hand."

He replenished his hand. But when he drew cards, he was not in a hurry to look at the cards he drew, and his eyes remained fixed on Fujiki You Xuan while drawing cards.

"I don't know who you are, but I don't care anymore." He said coldly. "You might be trying to annoy me, and you have succeeded, and you will also see what price that will accompany."

He slowly drew this card from his hand. The field area of the Duel Disk popped up again, and lightning and green light exploded into the sky!

"Activate, the third layer of the Orichalcos Barrier—"

"—Orichalcos Tritos!!!"

The third, and final, Barrier, representing the divine power hidden in this evil field being completely liberated!

The earth trembled, as if the forbidden object that transcended destiny in legend had been awakened. The world was dyed in a strange emerald green tone, and in the green light contained endless greed and desire, wantonly shuttling and twisting, finally converging into a dazzling pillar of light in the air!

The complex and mysterious hexagram also began to rotate slowly, and the ring of the third layer of the Barrier was nested on the outside of the original two layers. More complex ancient characters appeared, some twisted like snakes, some straight like sword edges, flashing with deep light under the reflection of the green light.

Kaiba's expression tightened.

Finally activated, the final Barrier.

The green light mark on the Arbiter's forehead was also more dazzling, his eyes seemed to have turned into snake pupils, and his whole body was rippling with green flame-like aura, and the green light of Orichalcos seemed to be burning fiercely.

"The final Barrier of Orichalcos, Tritos, this Barrier can only be activated when 'Orichalcos Barrier' exists on the field by sending 'Orichalcos Barrier' to the Graveyard."

"The third layer of the Barrier also has the card name 'Orichalcos Barrier', and inherits all the effects of the first and second layers of the Barrier."

"And, on this basis, as long as it is within this layer of the Barrier, all monsters I control..."

The Arbiter's voice was hoarse, and it sounded like it was even an octave higher.

"... are unaffected by any Magic or Trap effects."

"Nani!"

Everyone who saw this layer of the Barrier for the first time was horrified.

Just existing on the field can grant all one's monsters complete immunity to Magic and Traps, plus the effects of the first two layers...

What kind of terrifying field is this?

The Arbiter had drawn another card from his hand.

"Magic Card 'Burial of the Magic Treasure'. Banish the Magic Cards 'Pot of Greed', 'Orichalcos Barrier', and 'Raigeki' from the Graveyard, draw two cards from the deck."

"Magic Card 'Adversity Treasure'. When the opponent has a Special Summoned monster and I have no monsters on my field, draw two cards."

He drew cards continuously, and then another card in his hand was slowly shown.

"Magic Card 'Monster Reborn', revive a monster from the Graveyard to the field."

The Arbiter drew a card from the Graveyard, and summoned it under the Reborn symbol in mid-air.

"Return, 'Orichalcos Kyutora'!"

Under the Reborn symbol, that single eye opened again, looking at everything on the field with a somewhat contemptuous gaze.

【Orichalcos Kyutora, ATK 500→ATK 1000】 (Orichalcos Barrier boost)

"Then it's the activation of this card—"

"—Ritual Magic 'Orichalcos Mirror'!"
