Chapter 436: Mirror Knight

"Ritual Magic 'Orichalcos Mirror'!" the Arbiter said. "Tribute monsters with a total level of 6 or higher from your hand or field, and Ritual Summon the Ritual Monster 'Mirror Knight Calling' from the deck!" (Original card)

The Arbiter sent a card from his hand to the Graveyard.

"Tribute the level 6 'Time Eater' (Original card) from my hand, and Special Summon 'Mirror Knight Calling' from the deck."

What appeared on the field was a monster shaped like a prism, reflecting clear and crystalline light, with a strange image, and it didn't look like it had any combat power.

【Mirror Knight Calling, ATK 0→ATK 500】

"When Mirror Knight Calling is successfully summoned, you can Special Summon any number of 'Mirror Knight Tokens' to your field."

The Arbiter chuckled.

"And 'Orichalcos Tritos' inherits the effects of the first two layers of the Barrier. One effect possessed by the first layer of the Barrier... you shouldn't have forgotten, right?"

"Monster zones and Magic/Trap zones are shared, right?" Fujiki You Xuan said.

"Not bad."

The Arbiter raised his arm high.

"Therefore, the remaining zones I can summon monsters to are at most eight!"

"Special Summon eight 'Mirror Knight Tokens'!"

The towering prism reflected strange arcs of light, and the beam split into eight, landing in the eight empty areas in his front and back rows.

Each beam of light turned into a knight wearing armor, covered in medieval-style armor, with a cold, sharp long sword in one hand and a square shield in the other. The surface of the shield was as smooth as a mirror, and it could actually clearly reflect the situation on the opponent's field, and Fujiki You Xuan and the Twin Dragon he controlled were clearly reflected on the mirror surface.

【Mirror Knight Tokens, ATK 0→ATK 500】 x8

Hibiki Midori was stunned: "Summoned eight monsters in one breath?"

What kind of card is this that exceeds common sense!?

Fujiki You Xuan didn't speak, but he already said in his heart that the Orichalcos arc really has many fake cards. The various cheating fake cards that came out in this arc of the anime are really countless.

Of course, some of them that were once regarded by players as absolutely impossible to be made into physical cards have now been released one after another as time goes by.

So even though the ones that haven't been released yet look outrageous, it's not guaranteed that Konami won't suddenly remember them one day and release them with some self-restraint.

"The strongest enemy a duelist will face in his life is always himself, and no one is an exception." The Arbiter said. "And the Mirror Knight is the incarnation of the mirror that reflects the truth in the heart."

The Arbiter waved his hand.

"Then 'Orichalcos Tritos', the effect obtained from the second layer of the Barrier activates. You can absorb life from the monsters you control!"

"Once per turn, recover Life Points equal to the number of monsters on your field x 500."

Everyone was shocked.

"Oh no, he has ten monsters on the field now..."

"Not bad." The Arbiter said faintly. "Therefore, I recover 5000 Life Points."

【Arbiter, LP4000→LP9000】

Fujiki You Xuan also frowned slightly.

Life Points 9000...

"Set two cards in the back row, then enter the Battle Phase."

The Arbiter raised his hand.

"First is the first 'Mirror Knight Token'." The Arbiter said. "Attack 'Cyber Twin Dragon'."

Judai's heart tightened: "Attack with a monster with only 500 ATK..."

But he immediately remembered, no, it's not 500 ATK. This 500 ATK is the boost of the Barrier, in other words, this token originally only had 0 ATK.

And as everyone knows, 0 ATK monsters are the concentration camp for cheaters.

Sure enough, the Arbiter continued: "When the Mirror Knight Token battles an opponent's monster, it can copy the opponent's monster's ATK value for the battle."

"Cyber Twin Dragon's ATK is 2800, so the Mirror Knight's ATK also becomes the same value."

【Mirror Knight Token, ATK 500→ATK 2800】

"Even ATK can be copied!?" Marufuji Ryo was also surprised.

Summoning eight of them at once, and each of them has the effect of copying the opponent's ATK...

"Activate Continuous Trap." Fujiki You Xuan said. "'Dimension Guardian'!"

"Select one monster on your field, as long as this card exists on the field, that monster cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects."

It is one of the three red traps that Yugi Muto used to trap Aigami in an infinite loop in the theatrical version.

"Use 'Dimension Guardian' to protect 'Cyber Twin Dragon'." Fujiki You Xuan said. "The Twin Dragon protected by this card cannot be destroyed in any form."

The Mirror Knight flew over and slashed, but it slashed hard on the transparent protective barrier. The rebounding force immediately shook the knight back, and failed to hit the Twin Dragon directly.

"Great, this way the Twin Dragon is invincible!" Judai said. "And the ATK is the same, if this side cannot be destroyed, then only the Mirror Knight will be destroyed!"

Sure enough, at this time, the Twin Dragon had already spontaneously counterattacked after being attacked, the Cyber Dragon head opened, electricity jumped from all the mechanical parts of its body, and quickly poured into its mouth, turning into a dazzling evolutionary flame and spraying out!

But just as the Mirror Knight was about to be swallowed by the flame, it suddenly saw its left arm raised, blocking in front with the mirror-like shield in its hand. The evolutionary flame rushed directly onto the mirror surface, and after a moment of stalemate, it shattered the mirror shield like a hammer-struck glass, but it did not hurt the knight itself at all.

"Mirror Knight wasn't defeated?" Hibiki Midori frowned.

The Arbiter said grimly: "The shield in the Mirror Knight's hand can be used as a substitute to block one destruction."

If described in more standard PSCT, the shield in these Mirror Knights' hands should be a "shield counter", which can be removed as a substitute when these knights are destroyed.

"By the way, 'Mirror Knight Calling' has another effect. Once per turn, you can repair the shields of all Mirror Knights on your field whose shields have been destroyed." The Arbiter said.

"Such an unreasonable ability!?" Hibiki Midori was horrified.

Mirror Knight can copy the ATK of the battling monster, and can use the shield in its hand to substitute for destruction during battle. And the destroyed shield can be repaired once per turn.

And there are a full eight such Mirror Knights on the field...

Just these eight knights are already close to invincible, right!?

Both Hibiki Midori and Judai realized more and more that this person really didn't use his full strength in the two battles with Kureha and Judai earlier. This person's strength is unfathomable, and he is indeed not something that a conventional duelist can face.

Only Kaiba had a calm expression as usual. After all, they had encountered Mirror Knights before, and had also suffered quite a bit.

Even Dartz once sealed the souls of Yugi, Pegasus, Mai, and Joey that he captured into several Mirror Knights as hostages, making Atem afraid to make a move, and it was Kaiba who finally broke this situation.

In contrast, the situation Fujiki You Xuan is facing now is not as dangerous as they were back then.

But back then, Atem and Kaiba were facing Dartz alone together, while now Fujiki You Xuan is fighting the Arbiter one-on-one. There are no teammates to rely on and no one to support from the sidelines, but in this respect, he suffered more than they did back then.

Although Kaiba was not on the stage, he couldn't help but subconsciously substitute himself into it to compare with Fujiki You Xuan as he watched the duel progress. Although the two had just decided the winner, his duelist soul couldn't help but be eager to move.

"Battle continues." The Arbiter said in a hoarse voice. "Second 'Mirror Knight Token', attack 'Cyber Twin Dragon'."

"Ah?"

Mokuba was very surprised.

Even if you know that the attack is meaningless, you still have to attack?
