Chapter 472: Evil Heart

"Actually possessing the ability to negate Spells, huh."

To say that it didn't have much impact on the Supreme King would naturally be a lie. Elemental HEROes were originally big consumers of hand cards, and hand fusion was a three-for-one exchange at every turn, and even after blackening into the Evil HERO version, this problem actually hadn't been solved.

This negation by Silent was equivalent to directly killing three of his cards, which was already a fatal wound from the perspective of resources.

But he was the Supreme King after all, so he still had no reaction even so.

"Then activate the Spell card 'Hand Destruction'," the Supreme King said. "Both players discard all their hand cards, then draw the same number of cards."

He discarded his hand cards and then drew cards again.

"Spell card 'Akashic Records', draw two cards from the deck. If there are cards used in the duel among them, they must be banished from the game."

The hand cards were replenished, and then he drew three of them in one breath and held them high.

"Activate again, Dark Fusion! Perform a Dark Fusion Summon of a Fiend HERO by using monsters from my hand and field as fusion materials!"

"Use 'Elemental HERO Sparkman' and 'Elemental HERO Clayman' from my hand to fuse!"

Still the HERO combination Judai often used. The blue tights, the Sparkman with electric light surging all over his body, the reliable defensive HERO Clayman with a sturdy body, at this time their body tones also seemed to have become darker, and when they were projected onto the field, they were full of evil energy.

The heroes both turned into light streams and disappeared into the fusion vortex, pitch-black thunder erupted, electric light gathered on the body of the thunder hero, and he descended domineeringly.

【Evil HERO Lightning Golem, ATK 2400】

Regardless of the fusion materials, panels, or appearance, it was not difficult to see that it was the blackened version of Thunder Giant, one of Judai's favorite HEROes in the early stage.

"Evil HERO Lightning Golem's effect, once per turn, destroy one monster on the field."

Upgraded from the original Thunder Giant's destruction of monsters with lower ATK than itself to any monster. And in the anime, Thunder Giant could only destroy one monster when summoned; after becoming a physical card, it became discarding one card from the hand once per turn to destroy one monster with lower original ATK than itself.

Whether compared to the physical card or the anime, the Evil Lightning Golem was an enhancement.

Of course, even if the monster was enhanced, it still couldn't change the essence that the fixed fusion material was still a three-for-one exchange. This was also why the Evil HERO series looked handsome in the anime, but had been miscellaneous fish that couldn't even count as entertainment for many years in reality.

"Voltic Ball!"

Lightning Golem blasted out with one palm, and the surging pitch-black lightning blasted toward Fujiki You Xuan. Silent Magician was smashed into fragments in the surging thunder, but immediately after breaking, a new magic vortex opened.

"When Silent Magician is destroyed by battle or the opponent's effect, Special Summon a 'Silent Magician' monster other than itself from the hand or deck, ignoring its summoning conditions."

"Blooming silent radiance from the intersection of chaos and order, magician of light, descend here—"

"—Silent Magician LV8!"

Light points condensed in the surging light, and soon transformed into the figure of Silent Magician again. Only she became taller, the parts that should be prominent were more prominent, and the aura became more powerful.

【Silent Magician LV8, ATK 3500】

"Then set one card, turn end."

"My turn, draw," Fujiki You Xuan said. "Activate the Spell card 'Spellbook of Power'. Place a magic counter on a card on my field that can have a magic counter placed on it, then add a 'Spellbook of Power' from my deck to my hand."

"Place a magic counter on 'Magical Exemplar'."

【Magical Exemplar, ATK 1600 -> ATK 1900】

"Then Magical Exemplar's effect activates. Remove the magic counter on it, destroy one Spell or Trap card on the opponent's field!"

"However, I will activate his second effect. By removing this Spell Counter, I destroy one Spell or Trap card on the field."

【Magical Exemplar - Breaker the Magical Warrior, ATK 1600 → ATK 1900 → ATK 1600】 Just as Breaker the Magical Warrior landed, the 300 ATK points he hadn't even warmed up with were directly converted into magical sword Qi. But for him, this was the norm, and he was surely long accustomed to it; the moment he landed, his sword was already drawn, and with immense skill, he slashed directly at the opponent's back row.

The Supreme King's back row flipped and was cleaved open by the sword Qi.

"You destroyed the Trap card 'Fake Trap'," the Supreme King said. "When 'Fake Trap' is destroyed by a card effect and leaves the field, draw one card from the Deck."

The Supreme King drew a card from his Deck.

However, it was a slight pity for him. 'Fake Trap' could allow one to draw two cards if destroyed by an opponent's Spell effect, but since Breaker the Magical Warrior was a monster effect, it failed to trigger.

Furthermore, the current situation was indeed very unfavorable for him. His Life Points remained at 2300; Silent Magician destroying Lightning Golem would inflict 1100 points of damage, and the remaining Breaker the Magical Warrior was more than enough to finish the job.

"As long as the attack goes through, it's over, right? After all, you are the Supreme King; you wouldn't let people down so easily, would you?" Fujiki You Xuan smiled.

The Supreme King: "."

"Battle," Fujiki You Xuan said. "Silent Magician LV8, attack 'Evil HERO Lightning Golem'."

A white stream of light gathered once more at the tip of the mage's staff, condensing into a massive, dazzling orb of light. A beam of shining white light, like a galaxy piercing the long night, thrust directly toward the chest of Lightning Golem.

This book's latest update is at ##!! Update!

Sure enough, the Supreme King revealed his defensive measure.

"Special Summon 'Aussa the Earth Charmer' in Attack Position!"

A dark stream of light shot out from the card he displayed, landed on the ground, and transformed into the figure of that twisted demon.

【Aussa the Earth Charmer, ATK 1700】

"A hand trap, huh?" Fujiki You Xuan smiled lightly.

As expected, he knew it wouldn't be that simple.

"During either player's Battle Step, 'Aussa the Earth Charmer' can be activated from the hand. Special Summon this card, and gain 1000 Life Points."

【The Supreme King, LP 2300 → LP 3300】

"I know," Fujiki You Xuan said. "And, by Tributing this card, you can increase the ATK of one monster on your field by 1000 until the end of the next turn.

How about it, do you want to Tribute it?"

"No need," the Supreme King said coldly.

This was natural. Even if he Tributed Aussa the Earth Charmer, Lightning Golem's ATK would only rise to 3400, still lower than Silent Magician. The gap between them was too large; even with the boost from a hand trap, it couldn't be bridged.

The Silent Magician's blast continued through, punching a hole through Lightning Golem's chest. The dark hero let out a muffled grunt, collapsed, and shattered into pieces.

【The Supreme King, LP 3300 → LP 2200】

"However, Breaker the Magical Warrior's Spell Counter has been removed, so his ATK has dropped back to 1600, not enough to break through Aussa the Earth Charmer."

Fujiki You Xuan shrugged.

"And because of the restriction of 'Card of Sanctity', I cannot Set any cards this turn.

Then, my turn ends."
